Does Cialis Cause Mood Swings (Top voted first)

I'd just like to know if anybody else has any experience of seeming to be more irritable and emotional during the time that they are getting the effects from Cialis?

I have been using Cialis for about 3 months and I too have noticed extreme emotional differences. I never used to be "clingy" and emotional as I was and the mood swings were what scared me/us. I actually put my hands on my wife and 'man-handled' by trying to forcefully yank her off of the couch but, luckily for me, I didn't hit her. It terrified her to the point of wanting to call the police and leave with our kids. I have never been violent, ever in our 18 years of marriage. I felt as though someone else was controlling my actions. I could see what was happening but not able to stop it. I threw away the Cialis the next day and will never be using it again. My marriage is still at risk, because she now thinks that this is how her becoming an abused spouse will start. I never have had violent tendencies and I think it's directly attributed to the Cialis. I certainly don't want to lose my wife & kids over this.

I will only take 1/4 on a 20mg tablet about every 3 to four days. The prescribed effect is great for everyone but it will in time, maybe building up toxicity, cause me to become very moody and easily angered which is not my normal behavior. I have gotten off of the medication and then back on and the same problems will occur. I told my wife how I was feeling and she concurred. Don't use it any more and use a naturally derived substitute. There are probably a lot more people with the same conditions but no one will bring it up if everyone is making the big money.

My husband just started taking the daily tablet of cialis and has noticed heaches but more then that he is feeling"off" like he is loosing his mind, forgetting things, and wanting to curl up in a ball. Could this be a side effect? I am thinking he should stop taking and see what happens. Thoughts, suggestions?

My partner began too use Cialis right before a trip to South America. I noticed he was very easily irritable I thought it was perhaps it was due to certain unforeseen issues with regards to our travel plans but it eventually became clear that the irritability was much more severe. He expressed very deep emotions and seemed very sorry for his anger and irritability but then suddenly would become angry all over again. It was a constant roller coaster. I struggled to ask him if the Cialis might have contributed to his anger and mood swings but did so in hopes that he would take it into consideration but unfortunately it only triggered another argument. I would rather have the limited sex that we had before with the loving partner I fell in love with instead of sex every day with a partnertner I feel I no longer know. While Cialis seemed to be a dream come true in bed, it turned our every day life into a nightmare.

My husband takes Cialis and has experienced SEVERE mood swings when he is on it. He is also having chest pains. I have asked him to discontinue for one month to see.

My husband, too, becomes very moody and irritable when he is on Cialis. Consequently he only takes it spasmodically.

I only use it a few times a month but have noticed growing and deeper irritability. While I have enjoyed the improved performance, it is not worth it. Each time I use it the feeling gets to be more anger.

I have a consistent headaches and growing mood swing associated with taking Cialis. In a way i'm glad to hear i'm not the only one - quite stressful. After several years without problem i now notice a diminished effect, maybe because i'm taking less dosage to offset the affect
Would anyone know if it possible the toxicity build up is permanent, whether changing to another medicine

Have you been able to determine if in fact this was due ti Cialis? I ham going through the same with my partner of 7 years but having a hard time convincing him that it may be due to the drug. He has never had this good of a result with anything else so I think he does not want to accept that this might be more harmful than good for our relationship. Any information you may have would be greatly appreciated.

I also have experience sever mood swings when taking Cialis. I have met the most amazing girl and everything has been perfect up until the last 4 or 5 days when I started to take Cialis, I should have never started taking it because I have never had a problem with her in the first place, she was just moving into a new apartment and I wanted to spend the first night having the most amazing sex ever! But instead of sex, I became an emotional little child getting upset at the stupidest things. I felt like I was going crazy and wanted nothing more than to be held and comforted like a little baby. I turned into an a**hole and said things I would have never said, I did things I would never do, I was a completely different person and just felt angry and sorry for myself all the time. Now I have destroyed my relationship because she thinks I am crazy and doesn't want to be around a guy like that, but no matter how sorry I am and what I say she wont accept the fact that I was this way because Cialis was making me that way. At first I took all responsibility for my actions but tried to tell her that this was not me and I didn't truly feel or mean the things I said, so once I found out that Cialis has done this to others I felt so relived know that I wasn't going crazy and there was a reason for why I acted in such a way. I will never touch that s*** again, it has ruined everything. I just wish she would understand that in those 4 days I was not myself I would never do or say such things as I did, I can hardly remember anything I did say to her, but when I go back and read my texts I am just shocked! I have tried to apologize and do all kinds of kind things to show her I'm sorry. I have been so sad and mad at myself. I am just glad I figured out what was doing this to me. DON'T TAKE THIS STUFF, ITS NOT WORTH LOSING THE ONE YOU LOVE!!

My husband has noticed himself that after taking Cialis he has been extremely irratable and moody. Stopped taking, and he also gets extreme headaches. Going back to see our family doctor but for the time he is not going to take............

Yes, both those were a side affect when i was taking Viagra, and if the whole tablet very noticeable. so i changed to Cialis and 1/2 a tablet. But now i notice unacceptable mood swings with prolonged use of that!

Cialis ruins marriages!! Makes men in mid-life crisis more insane, the crisis permanent.

Insecure? Take Cialis, take a ton of women you normally could not perform for - but Cialis will do it for you... Literally f*** up your marriage and destroy your family ... All Cialis fueled.

Cialis ... The best enabler, the best destructor of your life. Short term illusion. Long-term reality: now you lost the ones who loved you and you get to dole out dollars in court and to your divorce lawyer.

Cialis seems to have side-effects of heightening irrational & irresponsible behavior, anger, not seeing the forest from the trees.

And all of it leads to a ruined life. Stay away from this s*** and just accept with dignity that we all get old. There's a lotta fun to be had outside the bedroom and inside the bedroom with limited libido or none.

And a real woman will appreciate faithfulness a 1000 x more over pathetic proof of prowness from a pill. Get romantic & creative instead. Your hands still work right? Tell her you love her and explain you are not 18 anymore - and neither is she.

Stay away from this "Let's ruin my family pill box"!!

I have been using Calais for 6 years it has always had a different side effect on me, such as headache, eyes redness, blurry vision, skin rashes, iching, sometimes a black or brown spot appear on my skin which it looks like burned or I hit something hot, muscle ache and chest pain I have had all of this problem as a result of using Cialis now even worse. I have come to the conclusion to stop using it forever.

For 20 years I loved my husband - then came Cialis after his prostate cancer surgery - we are at the point of divorce since Cialis came into our lives. The doctors said to take the pill so it can start the blood flow. I'd rather not have that level of intimacy then to live with the monster that I now live with. The mood swings are unbearable. He has become nasty, mean, and with a blink of an eye he is sweet again. Then again he can get upset for any little thing. Thank God I checked this site, cause the doctors didn't tell us about the mood swings, AND still insist that it doesn't happen. BS!!! IT HAS MADE MY LOVE A MONSTER. Please stay the hell away from this pill, it will be the end of your marriage as you knew it. All I wanted was my healthy husband back, and instead I have a total stranger sleeping next to me.

My boyfriend and I have had the most volotile relationship with the most unpredictable and unexplainable mood swings. I’ve felt as though I’ve had to walk on eggshells about raising any question I g about anything. I’ve always had a hunch that he was taking something, for some reason I thought it was a testosterone supplement because his rage and anger was like nothing I have ever experienced. After about three years of this, I finally have found out he has been hiding his prescription for cialis. He swore he’s only filled it twice, but then upon further questioning found out he has been taking it regularly for the last three years. I’m unsure if he was hiding it because he has been cheating, or for embarrassment. And he’ll take it right before work which is odd
To me, because it kicks in within 30 minutes and will last for upto 48 hours... and I’m not with him for the first 9. His rage, and outbursts and name calling and insults are like nothing I’ve ever experienced. Extremely hurtful, abusive. And since finding out that he has been on cialis I’m wondering if that is now the culprit. I’ve mentioned this to him and he thinks that I’m the reason for his outbursts, and he swears he hates me and then the next day is back in love with me. It’s such a RollerCoaster that is destroying us. Now we have trust issue because of the lying or secrecy about such a thing(which he says is none of my business), and the insults and verbal and physical abuse is making me more insecure. I’m just unsure how to address this.

My husband has had unexplained outbursts of anger, to the point where it was affecting our relationship because I thought he had changed. He finally made a connection between taking a Cialis pill and then not having an immediate sexual release. Hopefully that will solve the problem, because I'd rather give up sex than live with an unpredictably angry man.
