Anyone know how we can get this pain med Back on the market?
It is the only pain med ; when I need one, that I can take ; according to instructions, which gets rid of the pain with no side effects for me!
I called the FDA 2 yrs. ago; didn't realize I couldn't get it and they said unless some mfg. does a stucy and can prove or use another ingredient that will not cause heart problems- I'm out of luck!!!
I haven't been able to take Vicodin, vioox; too many bd side effects for me!
any suggestions?

they've used this and Darvon for years and no problem. It's an old reliable drug and it was not making enough money for the drug company! We the patients- have had to suffer!!!

One thought for getting your voice heard is to start a petition collecting as many signatures as you need to present to the manufacturer directly, showing them that hundreds of patients still want/need this medication and are willing to pay the price to have it back on the market. I've seen a lot of other threads on here with similar types of petitions from MoveOn.org, and it seems to attract more attention when you already have something lined up and ready for patients to sign when they visit your thread. So if I could offer any suggestion this would be the best approach in my opinion.

On the other hand, if a medication was taken off the market due to proven heart problems, that's not necessarily something you'd want to risk anyways, is it? One would think that pain relief shouldn't be this dangerous... but then again, the FDA approves almost anything in this day and age. Which makes me wonder why they'd take it off the market and leave other dangerous drugs on the market such as Acetaminophen? Perhaps it's all just a money making strategy...
