Re: Jaye (# 160) Expand Referenced Message

Dr. Allen J. Herbert [411 E Vaughn Ave. Ste 203. Ruston, LA 71270 / Phone #: 318-255-7474]...but there seems to be many doctors in Ruston who can write it. Before I got medicaid I had called his office and they told me the cash price but I just don't remember. But I do know they will give the info over the phone. Best of luck to you and thank you for answering my questions. Withdrawal is scary business!

Re: Sue (# 27) Expand Referenced Message

From what I can tell, most of them won't accept Medicaid because Medicaid reimburses at such a low rate (like $28 for the visit or something like that). That's why there's no cost in filling the subs, just the prior authorization that's needed. Hope this helps.

Re: chewy gore (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

Dr.Talbot has retired,Dr.Prasad is there now. They no longer accept any insurance,it's CASH ONLY.Depending on if they like you or not u can pay anywhere between 140-280 in cash per month. Then there are these stupid classes they make u take like 4 times a year.Thats $60.00 for 1 hour,CASH of course.I know cause I have been a patient there for the past 3 years and still am there currently. Its all about the money.I have United healthcare (Medicaid) and they pay for 60 Suboxone films per month,it's 8mg/2mg.Its exactly 30 days and not a day early will they fill.U have tp get prior authorizations every 6 months.O yeah lastly u only pay $3.00 for those 60 films that u get every month.

Re: Debi (# 167) Expand Referenced Message

Hi, Debi.... There's a Behavioral Health Clinic in Oak Grove, La that accepts Louisiana Medicaid for the Doctor's visit and your insurance will also cover your prescription all but around $3.00....depending on the member's Co pay. The doctor's name at that particular clinic is Dr. Cheryl Smith. They also accept new patients. Hope this helps!

There's a doctor at an East jefferson clinic that I think is about $200 for the initial visit. He's the cheapest I've found so far. He's on the corner of David Dr and West Metairie in Metairie. If I come across anything else I'll keep you in mind.

Re: Darlene V (# 166) Expand Referenced Message

Hi, Darlene V. I was reading your post about have United Healthcare (Medicaid) as I do as well and you mentioned they will not approve the payment in order for your Suboxone to be refilled not even one day early. I'm not sure why it has been that way for you as I refill my Suboxone each month exactly 3 days earlier than the previous month. For example: Let's say I refilled my Suboxone February 20th..... Well, come March 17th, I'll be able to refill again with no problems. I use Walmart and no other pharmacy.

That is ridiculous -- I got to the MARC clinic in Metairie [504-535-4200] and they only require once a month visits. Plus I really love my doc there, I can tell he really cares.

Re: Debi (# 175) Expand Referenced Message

Hi, Debi (# 175) I know of a wonderful clinic & doctor in Lafayette if you would be interested in knowing that information. Not sure if that's too far for you to travel every month but it could very well be an option for you.
