Am having viral fever and want to know whether I can Ceftas 200 ## Ceftas contains Cefixime, which is an antibiotic and as such, no it is not effective against viruses. I developed a fever and was prescribed Taxim-O 200mg by my doctor, along with other medications. After taking it for three days, my fever completely subsided. I was instructed to continue the medication for a full week. However, starting from the fourth day, I began to experience side effects like dizziness, drowsiness, and headaches. Consequently, I stopped taking the medication on the fifth day. The recommended dose was two tablets per day. ## This is an antibiotic and those can be normal side effects of them, as reported by the U.S. FDA. They can also cause nausea, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
