Buttock Pain Relief

Been having treatment and acupuncture and nothing so far seems to help. There are times pain grabs me and almost puts me to the floor. I've been using patches on the area and at times do get some relief but it interferes with my walking as well. Is there anything I can do to get rid of it? I do have arthritis. Thank you.

I'm looking for something to fix the same thing...after driving for 10 minutes I get pain in the right side of my butt. Let me know if you find something to help.

Hello Crafty Lady,

I would love to give you some non medicinal ideas as to what you might be able to try to relieve the pain. First you can heat and ice the painful areas, which I am assuming is what the patches you are referring to are for. It is also extremely beneficial to do stretches that target the glutes, this flushes your muscles with new blood which can help alleviate symptoms of sore muscles. Massaging the area is another idea to help get the blood flow going as well as work out tight muscles and potential cramps.

That's pretty much the best advice I can give you and if those options don't work then you may need to consult your doctor and see if you can get some sort of medication or ointment that can relieve the pain in the targeted area. Best wishes and good luck.
