Hi kurian,

Side effects relating to the ingredients found in Brain Star are definitively regarded as "precautions" as opposed to "side effects". There are warnings for persons who are sensitive to bee products, as this contains beeswax. It also contains the allergenic ingredients of Soya beans (soya) and soya products.

If you have any known allergies to what is mentioned above, then I would steer clear of this supplement.

The majority of ingredients found in Brain Star are considered to be natural and plant-based (with no clear threat of side effects in my opinion) aside from 5HTP, which does have the potential for side effects if dosing is not taken properly.

5HTP side effects can include:
headaches, nausea, sleep disturbances, mood disorders, eating disorders, weight gain, panic attacks, and other related symptoms. This is not a complete list of side effects, more over because everyone can react or respond differently to this medication. If you do experience any undesirable side effects I would suggest stopping the medication and trying other alternatives.

Brain Star however does not appear to be FDA approved, and I can only assume that is because most of the ingredients are plant-based or natural.

I hope this helps address your questions and concerns!
