You guys must have burned nearly 1000cal with all the typing and fuming over each other. Seriously, stop the hate please, we're all trying to lose some weight.

Back to the topic, post #64 by Gym is the best of the lot and I've read every single one.

To what he says you must listen, for truth he declares.

PS: Benetol is a rip off, DO NOT TRY!!!

Bubbles,

Roy is correct the 1200 calorie method does work, Calories are basically derived from all the ingredients in what you are eating. Here is a calculation of how it works:

carbohydrate — 4 calories
protein — 4 calories
fat — 9 calories

So if you are eating a big mac which is about 540 calories.

Now the 540 Calories is derived from:

A. Fat 29g X 9 Calories/Fat = 261 Calroies from Fat
B. Carbs 44g X 4 Calories/Carb = 176 Calories from Carbs
C. Protein 24g X 4 Calorie/Protein = 96 Calories from Protein

Equaling out to 533 calories.

An average person requires 1600 calories for their day to day use(for a person who is not very active, and does an office desk job). Now if you are active, then the general rule of 1800 Calories applies to you.

Now if you are a person who does an office job like I do, then your target to consume is 1600 Calories, and you only consume 1200 Calories, in which case 400 calories are left. Now you are probably wondering what happens with those remainder 400 calories that you haven't consumed, because obviously your body needs 1600 calories to function, but we will came back to that.

So the general rule for fat loss is 3500 Calories = 1lb of weight. The remainder of 400 calories will be used from that fat. If you also exercise, and do Cardio then the results are much more visible.

By following this method, I have lost 50lbs in 5 months by limiting my calorie intake, and doing cardio every day.

If people are interested in a product similiar to this, just go to your local GNC store and ask for a detox program. it will work the same.

Benetol is the diet pill you are talking about and anything that is listed as a weight-loss dieting pill will be loaded with unhealthy amounts of caffiene, possible dangerous drugs like ephedrine, this is why the company selling this drug on the radio announces that you don't have to stay on it all the time...its because you should NOT stay on this drug. I for one would rather eat healthy and exercise...this is the best way to stay slimmer.

That is the best advice I’ve heard all week (re: #65). Nicely put!

Does anyone remember the food groups, I dont remember one that included off the shelf drugs to make you thinner.

How about eating right and exercising, no need for the gym. Take a walk, play with a freesbe, throw a ball around with a lonely kid etc...Never mindbig macks, eat an apple or a piece of whole weat bread...
Just move a bit.

slimNfit, so you think you know it all, do you even listen to yourself when you speak,
slimNfit said,
“I would like to point out one error almost everyone (especially the advanced) makes†Where is the research to back up this claim?
slimNfit said,
“even if you're a beginner and just starting to get into the habit and lifestyle of the healthy mindset, don't just set your pace to the most comfortable walk or jog or you'll just waste your time because your muscles get used to the rhythmâ€

Not true, if you are a beginner to physical activity, a new activity will make a difference, you need to give time to your body to build the necessary muscles and cardiovascular endurance to adapt with the changes you are asking of your body. If you try to change the rhythm too fast you risk injuring yourself and getting discouraged early. The experts suggest changing your routine every 2-3 months; this is how long it takes for your body to get used to a new work-out routine.
slimNfit said,
“even pushups are more comfortable faster, but if you're advanced, slow it down, vary the speed for every set and don't chicken out just because you start to tremble or you lose your best calorie burning momentsâ€

Bad advice, a beginner should learn the proper technique of a push-up, to ensure the right muscles are being worked before varying the speed this will prevent injury. Once you start to tremble your muscles have reached fatigue now would be a good time to take a small break and start again, this will avoid injury, especially if you are a beginner, as you advance you can push yourself further.
slimNfit said,
“add simple resistance training, there are several techniques you can do even with things around the house while you watch tv.â€

Bad advice when you are doing resistance training its best to focus on the movement and listen to your body rather than watching TV as this could lead to injury due to a lack of focus. Unless you are on a stationary piece of equipment like a bike then you should be fine.
slimNfit said,
“either add to your weights (don't worry, you will not bulk up like guys)â€

Not true woman also have the potential to bulk up especially if they have the predisposition to do so in their genetic make-up. Generalizing this way can be misleading to people who don’t know that increased weight will trigger muscle growth. This is why bodybuilders increase the weight and reduce the reps. You can increase the reps before you increase the weight. This will allow you to sculpt the muscles that need definition without excessively growing the muscles that are already big enough for your desired look.
slimNfit said
“switching your soft drink for water and green tea in the eveningâ€

I guess according to you most people also didn’t know that either?

You talk like you know it all and give dangerous advice to people, and asking me to leave because you don’t agree with me, well guess what, I am not leaving and will continue to point your bias to people who don’t agree with you, but most importantly the dangerous advice you are giving to people. Further more this thread is supposed to focus on the effects of Benetol and not your fitness advice that you assume everyone needs.

As for you LOL, you have not given any advice since you’ve been criticizing my advice. With a name like LOL you are ridiculing others that you accused me of doing in your post #53.

I think you are both pathetic and the longer you continue to address me the longer I will continue to point out your sad attempt at it. I will be here in case you try again.

Just exercise and eat well ? That's like saying nothing at all Gym, most people don't even know where to start...

Wrong Gym again, the thread has not returned to its intended purpose and your post 61 proves it. People who ask for advise or help need encouragement and like to hear that they're on the right track specially people who want to lose weight.. You still have nothing useful to say than summarizing the thread and criticizing others.
If you already summarized what you had to say in post #55, what's the use for post 61 ?
You're right about one thing though, Everyone can reach there own conclusion... About what you're doing here, Good bye.

I am just glad to see the thread has returned to its intended purpose. slimNfit, I have nothing more to add about post #47, I’ve already summarized what I had to say in post #55. Everyone can reach there own conclusion. Eldar does not need any help, his post #59 summarizes his findings nicely.
