My partner is due the naltroxone implant tomorrow & has admitted to taking blues 4 days ago, therefore hes taken half a naltroxone tablet today to induce opiate withdrawal. Will this affect him getting the implant tomorrow? will it show in his urine/blood sample? and will it cause him any harm having the implant fitted in these circumstances? ## OMG I am kind of late I went in to get the monthly shot and was opiate free for 15 days. But I was taking an herbal supplement that has opiade like affects though the chemistry is different and is not considered an opiate which makes it legal. I took 15 grams day before I went in because the moron doctor nor half the others know about kratom and after 45 min. of precipited withdrawal I was rushed to the ER. i have been taking naltrexone for many monthes and quit two days ago because I had to have surgery and have been prescribed watson 853 _ will that work for pain since i have been on naltrexone. ## Hello, I've never done this before. I guess this is what is called a chatroom. I was looking around to get some information for a prescription I just started taking today. I THINK ITS SHORT NAME IS "NARCO." I got them from one of my siblings. There information brochures wasn't attached. The pill says WATSON 853. I have a herniated disc. Both of my siblings have had two back surgeries. I would like to mention this pill to my brother, but he seems to be addicted to medication he is already taking for back pain. Both my sister and brother, who are nice people, seem to have a chang...

Hi my name is Melissa. I was cleaning my sisters bed room and she was just recently out of rehab. She said they weren't hers, but maybe you can help me figure out what they are. They are light blue one side has a split and the other side has 50 on it. They are also oval. ## Hi Melissa, The closest match I can find is Naltrexone Oral (50) mg; which belongs to the drug class- opiate antagonists. This pill is light yellow in color, but other than that it matches the description you provided. The pill you have was most likely made by a different manufacturer (who decided to color it blue). This medication works in the brain to prevent opiate effects (e.g., feelings of well-being, pain relief). It also decreases the desire to take opiates. It is used as part of a complete treatment progr...

my brother has decided to heal his life. He wants to start with detoxing and then to have an antabuse implant. Does anyone know where in the U.S. this is being done? I have already given some information to his doctor but, don't know where the implants can be attained ## Someone I am helping is giving up alcohol. He has started antibuse orally. But, would like to have the once a year implanted prescription for it. No chance of changing his mind and falling off the wagon. Does anyone have any information on where it might be available in The USA? I have seen bit of information but, you have to travel to Europe for it. That is not possible for this man. ## My husband is an alcoholic and last Thursday had epidural implant inserted into his buttock. Dr Janusz Witkowski 350 Fifth Ave. 61...

my brother is being kept on disulfiram for deadddiction of alchohole. i want to know that for how long he be kept on disulfiram. our intention is he should e kept for that much long time that here after he should not turn to his old habbit of consuming alchohole. ## My suggestion is that he take it for the rest of his life. There is no harm it in. One pill a day sure beats falling off the wagon and losing friends, job, money, family, etc. There is too much to risk, and too much to gain. Stick with what works.

Looking to find out what a long/ oval white tabley is with a weird E type symbol and 28 and nothing on the other side. it is not scored. ## I'm sorry, but I can't find any listings for this in our U.S. prescription drug resources. Where was it found? Does anyone else recognize this tablet? ## I think that is Disulfiram (generic of Antabuse) 250 mg, manufactured and/or distributed by Rising and/or Sigma Pharmaceuticals. The weird E thingy is uppercase Greek letter sigma. In some reference sites it's indexed as "Logo 28" quoting from a product info sheet found on dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?id=46495 "HOW SUPPLIED: Disulfiram Tablets, USP: 250 mg - White, capsule shaped tablets debossed "Σ 28" on one side and plain on the other side. ## please tell me the side affects of this drug and actions ## Are you referring to Naltrexone, the Opiod Receptor Antagonist? Here's the link to the monograph with more information: Naltrexone Info Click Here This is an added ingredient in Suboxone, the latest wonder drug to help addicts, it gives them the Subutex, which works on the opiate receptors to help break their addiction, and uses the Naltrexone to prevent them from taking other meds at the same time and still getting the high from them. Naltrexone has also been successfully used in treating alcoholism ## i was given maltrexone 50mg can not afford this out of work will accord health care help with cost?

When you break/crush the OP, you release naltrexone, that would otherwise pass threw you. Naltrexone binds to opiate sites for 72 hours… so even if you tried another drug - you’ve f***ed up - those receptors aren’t going to be available for 3 days. I have no evidence that suggests that citric acid does anything to the micro-encapsulated naltrexone, and 2 packets of Kool-Aid are hardly a match for the hydrochloric acid in your stomach. Does anyone use any common sense here?

Dizone contains Disulfiram, which makes someone acutely sensitive to alcohol. In most cases, if they try to drink, they will get several drunk and ill after just one of 2 drinks containing alcohol. In many cases, the medication is continued for awhile, even after the person has stopped drinking, just to ensure that the behavior will not start up, again.

i have a 3 months course of tablets. .. .. . . 1 per day. so how long should i continue to stop the drinking. nd what are the side effects.................. plz help . . ## Dizone contains the active ingredient Disulfiram and it is used to treat chronic alcoholism by making someone super sensitive to the effects of alcohol. The most common side effects are: drowsiness, metallic taste in mouth and headache. As to how long it will take to process out of your body, there is really no definitive way to say, because this can vary from individual to individual and other factors can affect it, such as the dosage, how longer you were taking it and etc. Have you consulted your doctor? ## no havnt consulted a doc. if want to consult which specialist should i consult ???
