I HAVE ONLY BEEN TAKEN ADDERALL TAB 10 MG 1 TAB 1 X DAY FOR A MONTH. CAN NOT REACH MY DOCTOR, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE STEP DOWN PROCEDURE TO STOP TAKING THE ADDERALL. ## Usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. I don't know however if Adderall would fall into this category of medications that can be taken in fractioned doses. I have been prescribed Adderal EX 3;20mg a day for ADD) I also took Lortab 5-500 every 4 hours for pain, I take prozac 40 mg, bupropionHCL 300mg, levothyroxine 25 MCG, Estratest full strength. pain releiver lollipop for mouth sores, I might have also taken 2 Extra strength Excedrine. could this combo cause me to pass out and have no pupil response and extreme disorientation? ## Did this happen to you? Is your doctor aware that you are taking all of these medications? I can't check the pain reliever lollipop, without knowing exactly what it contains. I have been diagnosed with clynical depression and none of the anti depressents helped ,my brother was diagnosed with add attention deficit disorder,so when he got prescribed adderalls I tried one because I always felt tired ,slept 2 years through and just did not have any will or hope left ,after tryimg the adderall it gave me energy ,I actually started taking walks the bottom life is it saved my life,now the new law came out that unless you are 20 years and under your insuriance will not cover the script,therefore my condition worsened and i went right back into my little corner as i did 1 year ago for multiple years in a row ,now is this only in NY State or is this everywhere else as well,I cannot afford them I am legally disabled due to my condition ,please reply. I was just told by a costco pharm. that d-amphetamine salt com xr has been discontinued ## It hasn't been discontinued, but there is a current supply shortage, reported to the FDA by all manufacturers. As supplies improve, they are shipping it to various pharmacies on an allocated basis. In the meantime, the only thing I can suggest is checking with various pharmacies to see which one has it in stock, or talking to your doctor about using an alternative medication in the meantime. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Dextrose-amphetamine salt is not the only ingredient, so even if it was cancelled, which is is not, it wouldn't discontinue Adderall.

is there any interaction between taking the herbal supplement Abana to lower blood pressure and drinking grapefruit juice... ## is 25mg of adderal a high dosage and would it cause insomnia? ## Dede, I am not sure Abana contains, it is listed as just being an ayurvedic supplement, thus since it is just a supplement, its interactions with anything have not been tested and studied, as is done with prescription medications. Karen, Adderall contains mixed Amphetamines, so it is a stimulant and insomnia can be a side effect, even at very low doses. Are there any other comments or questions?

I have had adderall 20ml,I take 2 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon that were round and pink. i have noticed the changes in all adderall..whether talking ir or xr, adderall brand names or other manufacturers (sandox ect) not at all the same effects ## Well. there can be some variations from one manufacturer to the other, in both the active and inactive ingredients. When you know which one works for you, you should keep track of who manufactured it and go back to the same pharmacy you got it from. I need to find a coupon for 15 mg ## We've had several other people ask recently and, from what I can find, it appears that Shire no longer provides an assistance program for Adderall, since it is a controlled substance. Are you on the regular release formulation? If so, there are generics available that would be much cheaper, if you don't have insurance coverage. Will taking "adderall" test positive for cocain use when a drug test is conducted on hand oils, salivia and hair? ## No, the mixed Amphetamine salts in Adderall aren't known to cause a false positive for Cocaine, but have been known to cause a false positive for Methamphetamine.
