Adderall 10mg (Top voted first)

I was diagnosed with ADD now at the age of 44. Ive been taking Adderall 10mg in the morning and 10mg after 1pm, but I don't see a change in the focusing. I have the side effects nothing else. People tell me that they see a difference in half hr to one hr but I don't, is it the milligrams or the fact that I take a low dosage twice a day?

It could be that you need a higher dosage, or it might be that this isn't the right medication for you to take, not all of them work for everyone that tries them, so you may need to switch to a different one.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, insomnia and nervousness. It also carries the risk of being habit forming.

Are you taking a generic form of Adderall?
I have tried two different generic versions of Adderall and neither one worked. The XR I took once a day was manufactured by Par Pharma and the IR I took twice a day was manufactured by Camber. It's very hard to find a generic Adderall that actually works and the pharmacy will switch generic manufacturers without your knowledge.
The real Adderall worked very well for me. It's very expensive but I know I'm getting the same formula every time and I know it does what I need it to do.

I was diagnosed with adult ADHD and I'm a nurse so I did theral research and studies on adderall because if I was going to take something as serious as adderall I needed to learn the pros and cons. Adderall most definitely has its pros and cons. I say that because adderall is no joke its nothing to be playing around with, if taken and not properly monitored can be the beginning of your worst nightmare that is the cons. But the pros are if you can find your correct dose that works for you and you properly eat and get some sleep it can be amazing. I have come up with a routine that really works for me and my daily schedule. I work about 9hrs a day 5 days a week so I take my medicine 10mg twice a day I eat before I take it and I make sure I get some rest at night. Also I don't take it on the weekends so I found that too be extremely helpful in my tolerance and dependency towards the medication. On the weekends since I don't take it I'm able to rest my brain and take a breather and a brake from all that comes with taking adderall. I noticed that when I do that and don't take it on the weekends when Monday comes and I eat my breakfast before taking it I have like a new sense of everything, meaning focus, energy, positive attitude throughout the week... I also noticed when I snack on different things throughout the day like bananas which is my favorite I guess the potassium in the bananas digest with the medicine perfectly at least for me it does just sharing my story
