Abilify Almost Killed Me But Then I Was Saved!
UpdatedI took abilify after going into the mental hospital for 3 or 4 days. When I got out I took the pills until I noticed shortness of breath, extreme body aches, etc.. but I soon heard voices and depression again. I went back in to the hospital and came out with the shot. I thought I had covid when the side effects came on the first time and stopped. I realized it was the abilify when they returned double time! I was blowing stop lights without any clue. Just mindless. I tripped going up and down steps. I was out of breath and worn out VERY EASILY! I EVEN THOUGHT I WAS HAVING A STROKE several times during the month after injection. When it came time for another shot I said HELL NO!!!! This is where it gets sad!
After I turned down the second shot, about a week later I noticed a change. I was eager to get up and achieve goals I made. My depression was lifted. My self esteem boosted. I was accomplishing more than I ever thought possible. I have something else to admit. Before this I used methamphetamines. During the bad part of the shot I could not feel the effects of methamphetamine at all. Which was aggravating but ultimately accepted and I couldn't/didn't use. But after the side effects were gone the good happy effects came. I could feel the effects slightly, but in a different way. After an initial warming feeling I would feel tired and sleep. But since I wasn't getting any stimulation from it I really didn't have much of a need for it. But I did use it sparsely throughout the month because I admit I enjoyed the warming effect that I never felt before but heard others speak of. But anyways. Now I'm back to ground zero. The warming is gone. That was not really the point of this post just an interesting side note. But yeah I'm back to hearing voices and low energy/depression/death idolization - though I would never kill myself. But I'm afraid to take abilify again because of the horrible side effects. I SERIOUSLY THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE a few times. But I DESPERATELY LONG FOR THE FEELING "NORMAL". I NEVER FELT BEFORE!!!!
WHAT DO I DO?
Has anyone felt this kind of pain then relief?
Any advice?
I have some of the pills here. Should I try to ween myself on to the med as if I were weening off a drug?
If you are looking for an answer to whether abilify will block your "euphoria" from Methamphetamine the answer is YES!! Definitely! But if I could get that positive effect of the abilify back.. haha I would give up any drug!!! GLADLY! I'd give ANYTHING TO BE ABLE TO FEEL LIKE I FELT FOR THAT MONTH!
