Could a zpak be used for tooth infection? I am allergic to many antibiotics and use a zpak for sinus infections ## Hello, Topanga! How are you? It is just an antibiotic, so yes, it can be used for various types of infections. However, you shouldn't take it, unless your dentist or doctor has confirmed the presence of an infection and told you take it. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was taking penicillin and now need to switch to a zpak. How long should I wait before starting the new meds? ## Unless your doctor or pharmacist has said otherwise, you should be able to just cleanly switch from one to the other. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. In most cases, they just have you replace the next required dose with the new one and proceed from there. Are you on any other medications?

I have a severe sinus headache (infection). Have taken the ZPak on my own which I have had on hand.. (Which is a year old). Went to the MediQuik (it was the weekend) and he gave me levaquin... Can I switch if I haven't finished the ZPak? ## Hello, Tammy! How are you? Yes, it would be best to take the one that was prescribed to treat this infection, just make sure that you finish the full course of treatment of this one. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

Itching painful scabs developed about two months ago,i work as a live in caregiver to an elderly,im there 4 days q week 24 hours a day.when I come home,it seems like they get a little better.I sleep on the sofa at work, thought it might be bedbugs or allergy to material but I've been there for 2 years so IDK. ## OK,no one has ever had before, maybe this will help someone.i took a few pictures of my back and sent to my doctor. He said it looks like scabies and ordered a zpak and Lindane lotion.apply from neck down to the bottom of the feet.Hope you never have to go through this, wasnt fun. ## That would be odd, usually scabies covers the entire body from the neck down and it forms angular patterns that may resemble geometric shapes, or letters... and an antibiotic, such as the Z Pak is n...

At the suggestion of a hotel doctor I bought Azitromicina 500mg for the treatment of a chest infection in MX. Tried to submit a claim for the cost via my US insurance as they say they reimburse worldwide RX expenses. But now they want the 11 digit 'national drug code' or no payout. I checked the FDA NDC database but: 1. it states all NDC's are 10 digit and: 2. obviously this is not a US product and therefore not in there. How can I find what I need to get my costs back? It is Zertalin Azitromicina 500mg (Collins Farmaceuticos) 6 tablets in a white jar with silver/black/blue label. The pharmacist 'said' it was a 2 course pack for 3 days I.E. 1 tablet per day for 3 days (2 courses contained). Is this correct also? I usually have known ZPak or Azithromycin to be 2 on th...

Can Flonase cause a false positive for cocaine? ## I'm a Nurse practitioner and Yes, I have heard several of my patients that tested positive in hair drug screenings for cocaine - when I KNOW they haven't been doing drugs of any kind. It hasn't been an issue for urine drug screenings, just the hair drug screenings come back positive. The manufacturer neither "denies nor reports" any known false positives for cocaine in hair testing. I think they are trying to find answers too. ## I took Flonase for one day. How long will Flonase show up in your urine if you are drug tested with a urinalysis? I'm also taking a ZPak antibiotic currently. Will either of these drugs show up in a UA for something? If so, how long after I stop taking them will they NOT BE DETECTABLE in...
