how strong are onyx that come from safe pharma. Are they alprazolom, or oxepam? steve ## According to my research, Onax is a name brand for 1mg or 2mg Alprazolam tablets. Whether they are from Safe Pharma or another pharmacy, there's really no way to know ahead of time how it might effect you if you've never taken it before. This is because medications can and usually do effect everyone differently. If you have a pill on hand I can go ahead and research the imprint for you to help determine how many milligrams it has.

What is the half life of alcohol in a "normal" adult? ## Wikipedia has an excellent article on Alcohol. It states that Alcohol does not have a typical "half life" as other drugs do, but it is eliminated from the blood stream at a constant rate. ("ethanol does not have an elimination half-life (i.e., is not metabolized at an exponential rate), and instead, is eliminated from the circulation at a constant rate.") It also says "The mean elimination rates for ethanol are 15 mg/dL per hour for men and 18 mg/dL per hour for women, with a range of 10 to 34 mg/dL per hour." Duration of action: 6 - 16 hours, but "Ethanol or its metabolites may be detectable in urine for up to 96 hours (3-5 days) after ingestion" ## Thanks Roy. I was wondering why I could n...

weakest to strongest pain medications ## LoLo Go to: Wikipedia and search Opioid Comparison ## Yes, there are really far too many for anyone to list them all and compare them for you, especially with your lack of specificity. If you restrict it to opiates, as capt ekim talked about searching for, then that narrows the list a bit, but in regards to general analgesics there are many on the market, both over the counter and prescription only medications. Additionally, there's no way to really know which will be stronger or weaker for any given person, since medications can affect everyone differently. For example, I get completely whacked out sick from some that work great for other people and their best choices don't do anything to help me with pain. Are there any other questions ...

Dinintel weight loss pills. Where i can get it? ## Hi Maria, According to wikipedia, Dinintel (Clobenzorex) is legally distributed in Mexico by a company called Aventis. Apparently over there, it goes by the trade name Asenlix. Someone in another thread here had also mentioned that you can easily get Dinintel in Montego, Jamaica at a placed called J&J pharmacy. But because I live here in the US, I'm not completely aware of its availability in many other countries. However you can always contact a local doctor or pharmacy for more specific details on where to obtain it or perhaps find something similar. I hope this helps! ## Thank you very much for your help. ## I'm in Canada bc. Where can I get dinintel here?

After a bit of drilling down and reading I think I have found out what H-86 really is... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gleevec ## There are actually a few other discussion threads on this same topic that talk about H86 and how it works as a cancer treatment. However, I'm not sure if everyone is on the same page as far as what it really is. You can view each thread by visiting the links below: Discuss/h86-cancer-treatment-252777.htm Discuss/h-86-cancer-cure-250866.htm Discuss/h-86-cancer-cures-252713.htm By the way, have you also looked into CBD's from cannabis as a viable cure for cancer? Studies show that it's actually more effective than chemo, and without the side effects. So this might be something to consider researching as well. I hope this helps! ## This Product is called AVE...

What is croscarmellose sodium made from? Could it be made from corn? ## Hi Bee, According to an article on wikipedia, Croscarmellose is reportedly made by a process of mixing crude cellulose in with sodium hydroxide and then taking the cellulose and reacting it with sodium monochloroacetate to form sodium carboxymethylcellulose (which is the chemical name for it). Most reports I found suggest that the cellulose being used is made from corn. However you might still want to contact the manufacturer of whatever pill you're taking just to be on the safe side if it's an ingredient you need to watch out for. I hope this helps!

white oblong pill scored in the middle on one side and the other side has pliva459 on it ## This info is from Wikipedia: Theophylline is a methylxanthine drug and is used in therapy for respiratory diseases, under a variety of brand names. It bears structural and pharmacological similarity to caffeine. It is naturally found in black tea and green tea. The main actions of theophylline are: - relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle - positive inotropic (increases heart muscle contractility and efficiency) - positive chronotropic (increases heart rate) - lowers blood pressure - increases renal blood flow - some anti-inflammatory effect The use of theophylline is complicated by the fact that it interacts with various drugs, chiefly cimetidine and phenytoin, and that it has a narrow therapeuti...

need a doctor in the greater hamilton, nj area for triggerpoint therapy ## Hi Michelle, According to Wikipedia's article on trigger point, "Among MDs, many specialists are well versed in trigger point diagnosis and therapy. These include physiatrists (physicians specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation), family medicine, and orthopedics. Osteopathic as well as chiropractic schools, however, include trigger points in their training. Other health professionals, such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, acupuncturists, massage therapists and structural integrators are also aware of these ideas and many of them make use of trigger points in their clinical work as well." So based on that information, I think it just comes down to which type of doctor or pract...

What are the dangers of Sodium Tetraborate? Is it harmful if swallowed by a toddler of 11 months? Do I need to call poison control? ## According to wikipedia, Sodium Tetraborate is depicted as a mineral of boric acid. They go on to state that, "sodium tetraborate decahydrate, according to one study, is not acutely toxic, meaning that a significant dose of the chemical is needed to cause severe symptoms or death." Having said that, when it comes to toddlers it's certainly never a bad idea to contact poison control [1-800-222-1222] for a second opinion as well as an appropriate course of action if deemed necessary. How has the little one been doing lately? Very well, I hope! :)

So I just got tramadol and it says that it has hydrochloride in it. Is it opioid-based? I read the instructions and it said they are a narcotic. ## Hi Nancy, According to Wikipedia, hydrochloride is defined as an acid salt. This is not opioid-derived from what I can tell. In the pharmaceutical field, my understanding is that the presence of hydrochloride acts as a catalyst for better absorption / bioavailability. For this reason, hydrochloride exists in a myriad of drug formulations (including non-narcotics). However, there are reports of individuals being hypersensitive to hydrochloride and noting that they should try to avoid it whenever possible. These patients may be few and far between, but if in doubt I would encourage you to contact your pharmacy just to be on the safe side. I ho...

small, round and green in color ## This is not something available in the US, so I the only information I can find on it is that it is used to help thin sputum, a cold remedy. ## a/k/a: Robitussin, Benadryl see wikipedia ## IT IS NOT THE SAME THING!! ROBITUSSIN AND BENADRYL IN THE UNITED STATES DO NOT CONTAIN BROMHEXINE HCL, WHICH IS AN EXCELLENT MUCOLITIC, NOT PRODUCED FOR THE US. Please see Wikipedia for a Chemical Formula of Bromhexin HCL... It is so sad that US pharmacists push for Robitussin and other products like Guaifenesin, which is a very ineffective mucolitic. And the antihistamines are not always the best answer. And the cough blockers are actually doing more harm than good. It is best to fluidify the mucus and expectorate it.

I have a friend that says she has prescription phobia difficulties. Is there such a thing or we talking about someone with a mental issue? ## Depending on how severe the fear of prescription drugs is, it could be considered a phobia. Wikipedia even has an entry and it's called pharmacophobia, so yes it can be a real thing. It goes on to say "Medication phobia, also known as pharmacophobia, is a fear of the use of pharmacological treatments. In severe, excessive and irrational, cases it may be a type of specific phobia. While lack of awareness by patient or doctor of adverse drug reactions can have serious consequences, having a phobia of medications can also have serious detrimental effects on patient health, for example refusal of necessary pharmacological interventions" Do...

What is Omnibiocide used for? According to wikipedia, Lichen planus is an inflammatory condition. You may wish to ask your doctor or a pharmacist whether an antihistamine, topical steroid, or other kind of medication would be appropriate. "The mainstay of localized skin lesions is topical steroids. Additional treatments include retinoids, such as acitretin, or sulfasalazine. Narrow band UVB phototherapy or systemic PUVA therapy are known treatment modalities for generalized disease."

Here's the link to our Adderall monograph: This medication is unavailable in the U.S. and I am sorry to say that other countries do not regulate their prescription drugs as strictly as the FDA does. I'm trying to find out how many 100mg ER Morphine sulfate pills are equal to 45 Oxymorphone 30mg ERs for the month. Can anyone help me with the math please? ## Sure - according to the Opioid equivalency table on Wikipedia, Oxymorphone is 3 x stronger than oral Morphine. So, in basic math terms, each dose of 30 mg Oxymorphone is equivalent to roughly 90 mg or Morphine (oral). So the # of tablets would be approximately the same, since it looks like your Morphine dose is high enough to equal the Oxymorphone dose if that makes sense. Hope this helps! ## So there is a shortage on ALL ER Oxymorphone as of Jan and Feb 2021. Can I take Doxycycline 100 mg tablets if I have a sulfa allergy? ## Hi Carol, according to an article I read from the Mayo Clinic, Doxycycline is not listed as a sulfa drug, so you should be okay to take it as prescribed. I also cross referenced the Wikipedia page on Sulfonamides, and it too did not list Doxycycline. If you have other allergies or sensitivities, I'd just double check the inactive ingredients as well to ensure that there is nothing else in there that could disagree with you. If you can refer to the National Drug Code (NDC) printed on your prescription label it should be pretty easy to find the list of inactive ingredients. I hope this helps and feel free to write back!
