I have been there I know what you mean. But I ask my doctor if he could take me off of that and give me Tramadole 50mg and with Tramadole you wont have the side effects from the pain killers it will take all of that away. Hope I was able to help you ## Hi Melvin, I'm not sure who you might've been responding to since this is a relatively new discussion thread with no other posts…but it's imperative that you don't give out false information pertaining to the side effects of Tramadol. All prescription medications have the potential to cause side effects in some users. And while not everyone experiences these side effects, you can't necessarily rule out those who do (especially those facing addiction or dependance issues). Linked below is a list of possible side e...

Hello. I am a 31 year old woman who was diagnosed 5 years ago with Psoriasis and more recently Psoriatic Arthritis. In addition to taking Humira for this, I also have been prescribed Tramadol 50mg 3x a day. While this drug may not help a lot of you with your symptoms, it has done wonders for me in more ways than one! I would first like to say though that even thought my prescription is for 3x a day, I only take one first thing in the morning and it helps greatly with my pain! Now for my question. After taking this drug for a few weeks it has done something strange. I have had OCD for years and over time my compultions have just gotten worse and worse. Now after being on the Tramadol they seem to be much better! Has anyone else with OCD taking this medication had the same effects? I have...

My doctor has just retired and I have been on Tramadol for many years and find it very hard when I stop taking it. I have learned that many Doctors will not prescribe Tramadol and need help finding someone in my area that will. ## Hello, Wendy! How are you? Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. A general practice doctor won't be able to prescribe it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. The easiest thing to do may be to find yourself a new PCP and then have them refer you to someone. What is your general location? Th...

I just moved to San Miguel de Allende Gto Mexico... Will I still need to have a doctor prescribe Tramadol or does it not require a prescription in this Country? I had 11 knee surgeries in the last 3 years. Good news, I'm not in a wheelchair anymore!! Thanks so much. ## @Pattykakes, As far as I know from reading other's reviews, Tramadol allegedly does not require a prescription in the event that you obtain it directly in Mexico "in-person". I think the only problem lies with those who try to go on the internet and search for it that way - since they are still in the US and therefore have to abide by US laws and regulations. However, I speculate that even if it does require a prescription in Mexico, there's widespread rumor that their doctors tend to be more lenient w...

I too have increased energy and cheerfulness with a single 50 mg Tramadol. When I don't take it for a day I am very lethargic and ache. I try not to take it more than a few days in a row. The doctor is surprised at the side effects. Thank you to those who shared a similar experience. I had been wondering if this was my imagination. I hope to stay off it several days to see if my usual energy returns as it did eventually the last time I didn't take it for several days. It's a great mild pain reliever, but the mood alteration concerns me. ## Hi, Suellen! How are you? The classification for Tramadol has changed several times over the years, right now it is once again classified as an opioid and they can cause increased energy and euphoria in some people that take them. That...

I take ol-tram 100mg for chronic pain issues. From HAB pharmaceuticals. I open the capsule and tip it in my mouth, because I can't swallow tablets as I am a little baby, lol. Female, between 25 - 30 years old. Healthy weight. Will let you know how it goes. ## Has been 2 hours, feel fine, has taken the edge of pain, will take one more 100mg, should remove pain. So far no problems at all with HAB pharmaceuticals ol-tram. ## Has been 5 hours since first capsule, 3 hours since second capsule. Pain has subsided, feel fine, exactly same result as from any other tramadol. There is nothing wrong with ol-tram 100mg from HAB pharmaceuticals. I would question the motive from the previous person in this forum who says these are not effective. . . ## So how did you get your script filled with th...

I have reads that a person who was on Tramadol for 8 or 10 years and as a result, had to take 8 of the 50 mg tablets of Tramadol daily to get results. His Dr. decided to give him a derivative of the drug for a few months to help irradiate the tolerance that had developed from taking the Tramadol for so long. After using the new drug for 6 months or a year. ( Cant remember the details. the article was a few years back) or a year, he switched back to the Tramadol and needed only 200 mg Daily. I can't seem to find any more info on this any more but would be interested in cleaning out and starting anew with the Tramadol. ## Hello, John! How are you? This is known to work for some people and some doctors do recommend 'med vacations' to help something retain or regain efficacy. Th...

Hell I have a m t7 but have been taking the 319 for some time. What is the difference between these two. ## Hello, Romeo! How are you? They have just been manufactured by different companies, which is normal with generic medications. They are usually manufactured by several different companies, which creates market competition to help keep prices down. The one your pharmacy carries may change, at any given time, depending on who might be offering the cheapest price, at the time they needed to restock their supply. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

It is a precarious time for anybody who has been obtaining Tramadol over the internet. I've already read some of the other threads on here where a number of patients are suffering because they are unable to obtain a refill on their prescriptions. If you are unable to get your prescription filled then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND working with your doctor to taper down since the last thing which you want is to go through any major withdrawals! At the same time I DO NOT RECOMMEND switching to a narcotic pain killer such as Oxycodone since you will find the physiological dependence can be WORSE than Tramadol. Can anyone speculate the reasons with me? I suspect that many of the illegal suppliers are being stopped and as a knee jerk reaction I speculate that perhaps the DEA / FDA have started impos...

I am a 20 year chronic pain sufferer who every 3 years or so has to detox off 180-240 mg Oxycodone to lower tolerance. Then I start back on 4-6 Percocet a day and gradually increase dosage as needed. I have just completed one of these detoxes using the "Thomas Recipe" - Now, to control the pain again...a friend gave me a few 37.5 mg Tramadol and at the moment I take 2 at a time so 75 mg once a day and find that they elevate my mood quite effectively as well as kill the pain...So I want to know which drug is worse for your liver and brain cells...Tramadol or Percocet? ## As a medical provider my first question to you , would be are you being followed by a pain management doctor. Secondly with the level of Percocet you are taking I would say you have a serious problem . Then do de...

They have taken my tramadol away. What can I take in its place for long term use. I have severe hip pain and without the tramadol I don't know what I'm going to do ## Hello, Katie! How are you? I'm sorry, but who has taken it away and why was it done? It's difficult to help, without knowing more specifics on the situation. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. There are many other analgesics available. What causes your hip pain?

HI, I take the Mylan generic of diazepam, and it seems to be significantly less effective than another generic that I was on but I can't remember the name. I'd like to have your thoughts as to whose generic diazepam comes closest to brand Valium. Thanks! ## Hi zuess, I've located an oblong yellow pill with the imprint 537 on one side and nothing on the other side. This pill contains (37.5 mg) of Tramadol + (325 mg) of Acetaminophen. Manufacturer: Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories National Code (NDC): 57664-0537 Is this the pill you are inquiring about in your title? In regards to finding a generic brand of Diazepam which works similar to brand name Valium, you are not the only one who has had issues with Mylan. My research leads me to believe that Watson, Qualitest, and Tev...

If it's for pain, can 2 tabs be taken? ## Can 2 tablets be taken of Tramad/apap? Thank you ## I would not recommend it, not only should you not take more of anything than prescribed, if it isn't helping with what it is supposed to, then you should speak to your doctor, but this can also be very bad on your stomach. APAP is just pharmaceutical speak for Acetaminophen and taking too much of that in a day can be fatal. ## What are the side effects? ## I was prescribed Eramd/APAP for headaches by my Neurologist. A few days later I broke out with Erythema muliform rash. It started on my arms and due to intense itching and my scracthing spread all over my body. I was unable to eat, sleep or do anything. green capsule, nothing written on it package says Aurotrama. I ordered Ultram or Tramadol ## DID YOU ORDER THIS FROM INDIA? IF SO I HAVE THE SAME MEDS AND IT IS TRAMADOL. ## I can't guarantee it, but that is what they claim it is, Tramadol. This is an analgesic. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You can read more here: Does anyone else have experience with using this? ## Yes, I also ordered the same thing for menstrual cramps. My Dr wouldn't give me anything and told me to take advil because there are so many drug addicts out there the people who genuinely need the pain meds (my case, endometriosis) Dr's won't write scrips for them. I have the green pills and they seem to have the same effect as the Ultram (Tramadol) anyway,...

I was prescribed Tramadol Sandoz Capsules 50mg for Urinary Tract Infection. After researching the drug I am wondering if this is the correct drug as it does not appear to be an antibiotic? ## No, it is not. Tramadol is actually an opioid, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It can help with pain, but will not do anything to treat a bacterial infection. Who prescribed it? ## I believe that the Tramadol HCL is not only causing me to be constipated, but now I developed a UTI...what can I do naturally to help while I am on this medication? ## Weazie, Although tramadol can cause constipation the incidence of uti's have no correlation in the literature. There are many OTC and herbal alte...

I have taken Tramadol, manufactured by Apotex, for the past nine months. Together, my neurostimlator and 200 mg. of Tramadol per day helped me to be virtually pain free! I renewed my Tramadol prescription last week and the new prescription says Tramadol, but this time the manufacturer is TEVA. This time, I continue to have pain and it is now the second week, and I am feeling intense pain. It is as if I was not taking any pain medication at all (my stimulator continues to work, but no one is ever promised that a neurostimulator will rid anyone of all pain. I have a friend who was switched to Tramadol from Apotex Manufacturing (the exact one I had for nine months) and is now taking Tramadol manufactured by TEVA. She is finding the same problem; it will not rid her of the pain she suffers....

from everyone's experience, what is Tramadol's effectiveness as a pain killer ? ## Well, when I tried it several years ago, all it did was make me sick. It didn't do anything for my pain. There are some people who seem to have good results with it, but different meds work for different people. Anyone else who has used this medication, please post your experience with it. ## I use Tramadol for lower back pains from several auto accidents and it works really well for me. ## It does not work for me at my prescribed dosage. The max. recomended dosage is no more than 400 mg a day. I find myself having to take up to 600 mg on a bad day. ## Then rather than take more, you need to discuss the issue with your doctor to explore other treatment options. ## Get emergency medical help if...

Hearing lots of places that the people who order tramadol via internet will no longer be able to. I live in a town with uptight doctors who charge outrageous prices plus insist on doing constant testing before writing a prescription. If true what are my option after Aug 18 ## i wish i had an answer for you, i have been using it for 3 years, more as a anti-depressant. I take 200 mg a day and feel good, certainly not intoxicated. This decision by FDA is ridiculous. Tramadol is not in the same class as Percs and Roxys etc. Unbelievable. I can go to Dr but i will be spending mad $ on their BS. Prices in the international market will now be inflated as well. The market is risky unless you know credible sources. ## Tramadol will become a Controlled Substancde Schedule IV in Aug. My opinion is stay the hell away from this drug. I took it for less than a week for severe back pain. I experienced the following, all of which indicate a deadly allergic reaction and are supposed to be rare: -extreme swelling of the tongue to the point where my teeth were cutting into it; -trouble sleeping/night terrors; -constant itching at night that was affecting my sleep; -frequent feeling of having to urinate. The drug did barely anything for my pain and I had to up my dose within two days. That was when the side effects started. Again, not worth it. Please stay away. Pharmacists and doctors will insist that the drug is safe but it isn't. I've also personally talked to three people who have had seizures as a result of this drug. Ibuprofen will do as much for pain as Tramad...
