## If you want the answer to the false readings that Zantac gives on drug panels, all that you have to do is call the company that makes Zantac. Boehringer Ingelheim, phone number (203)-798-9988. I just Talked to a man named Ed, who connected me to the company nurse that told me, yes, Zantac causes false readings for amphetamine. She also told me, that she has to report all complaints to the FDA. What this means, that if enough people call in and complain, then maybe the FDA will force the company to put a warning label on the box. Good luck. Respectfully, Andy

difference between hydrocodone and hydrocloride ## I am not certain exactly what you mean by this. Hydrocodone Bitarate is a narcotic analgesic, used to treat severe pain. A hydrochloride just signifies that something is a salt of that particular substance, such as Pyridine Hydrochloride. So, medically they are unrelated. Do you have any other questions? ## I find that whenever I buy a medication or a vitamin I have to check if it contains hydrochloride.. if it does I have to avoid it because within a couple of days I have a terrible burning sensation in my gut apart from zantac and slippery elm is there anything else I can do to ease the pain

I take 2mg Ativan daily, 90 mg of Cymbalta daily, 105mg Methadone daily and sometimes use Zantac for heartburn. Are there any drug interactions I should know about? Any knowledge u have about this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. ## Hello, Sunny! How are you? Yes, you actually shouldn't take the Sulfatrim with Methadone, it can cause a prolonged QTc interval of the heart, which may be fatal/ The FDA classifies Methadone as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been experiencing a lot of heartburn in the past few months. I was quite concerned since I had a silent heart attack 2 years ago, and really had no symptoms nor any risk factors at the time .... So now I am worried every time I feel anything out of the ordinary. When I asked my doctor if it could be acid reflux, she said probably and gave me a 2 week sample of Tecta. I only took a few and stopped because I am going on holiday in a few days and don't want to experience any possible side effects. My big question is ... Could Tecta NOT be good if you have a heart condition? I read it could cause heart palpitations and so I am obviously concerned and wonder why my GP gave it to me. Or is it OK to take and that is why she gave it to me? My heartburn is still a problem. My husband ...

Hi, this happened to me last december. My period was already late by 1 month didn't take pt yet, then I got sick one day as in really sick that my stomach really aches plus vomiting, headache and high fever. My mom gave me bioflu and zantac and let me drink it at one time, morning and then evening and then after two days i had severe abdominal pain, then back pain and i bled (not the normal blood girls get every period) and my lower back is really painful. And it's not the normal flow and then after 3 days, i got my period, the normal period we get and it lasted for 5 days. That's why i know it's the period and not what i had 2 days after i took the meds. I just wanna ask does it mean i had a miscarriage? Because it slips on my mind that i MIGHT'VE been pregnant when...

I used to drink a lot of alcohol. Everytime I was drinking for too many days, there was nausea, tachycardia, feeling heart beats all over my abdomen while resting and loss of appetite, so I assumed taking zantac would cause these symptoms to go away earlier while I'll quit alcohol for a few days to make sure they will. So, two days ago I started taking the pills. I took the first one along with one bottle of whiskey, and then new symptoms started instead of the old ones to go away: I have stomach pain in certain spots. I never knew stomach could cause pain only in a little spot, like it's a blade. The pain was mainly underNEATH my left rib cage and right in the diaphragm, but it would occassionally travel to other certain little spots of my abdomen too, as well as the left side ...

(Reuters) - CVS Health Corp said on Saturday it will discontinue sales on the popular Zantac heartburn treatment and its own generic ranitidine products from its pharmacies after traces of a known carcinogen were found in some of the products by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The FDA said earlier this month that some of the pills contained small amounts N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA), which has also been found in some widely used blood pressure medicines, leading to shortages of those drugs. CVS said the move to suspend sales of the over-the-counter heartburn drug was taken out of caution while the FDA continues to review if low levels of NDMA in ranitidine - the active ingredient in Zantac - poses a health risk to patients. "Zantac brand products and CVS brand ranitidine pro...

Been off Gabapentin for months now and feeling much better..still having some stomach issues, bloating, low appetite and small stomach ache. Dr. had me try Zantac and it does help some. Anyone else had this problem coming off Gabapentin?? Thanks ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? If it is still occurring months after stopping, it is not likely related to withdrawal of the Gabapentin, but it could have caused some damage to your stomach that needs to heal. As reported by the FDA, it has been known to cause peptic ulcers, stomatitis, hiatal hernia and gastroenteritis, as side effects. If the Zantac isn't helping much, it might be best to see a gastroenterologist, so they can determine exactly what is causing the problem and help you resolve it. Is there anything else I can help with? ## It...
