Have taken this brand for 2 years with no problems but last refill was told pharmacy can't get it anymore. Tried Teva and have stomach issues, anxiety and palpitations. Tried Solco and felt horrid. Is Sandoz not making met anymore? ## Hello, JJ! How are you? Apparently, there is a shortage of the raw ingredients required to manufactured Metformin, so some manufacturers have been unable to maintain and distribute a supply. The situation is expected to resolve, but there's no way of knowing for sure when it will occur. Have you tried the name brand? You might want to ask your doctor about writing for it, so you can't be given a generic, at least while this issue continues. The FDA classifies Metformin as being an oral antidiabetic medication that is most commonly used to help ...

My doctor perscribed Lotrel for my high blood pressure. Its a pink and white capsule. I've been taking the generic Amlodipine/Benazerpril caps/ Is it the same as capsule Sandoz? ## Sandoz is the name of a prescription drug manufacturer, not the actual medication. Lotrel does contain the active ingredients Amlodipine, and Benazepril. It is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, increased urination, hypotension, and headache. As to whether or not you've received the correct medication. What are the markings on the capsule in question? Here's an image of one that's pink and white. NDC: 00093-7372 It contains 5mgs of Amlodipine, and 20mgs of Benazepril.

I was prescribed Tramadol Sandoz Capsules 50mg for Urinary Tract Infection. After researching the drug I am wondering if this is the correct drug as it does not appear to be an antibiotic? ## No, it is not. Tramadol is actually an opioid, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It can help with pain, but will not do anything to treat a bacterial infection. Who prescribed it? ## I believe that the Tramadol HCL is not only causing me to be constipated, but now I developed a UTI...what can I do naturally to help while I am on this medication? ## Weazie, Although tramadol can cause constipation the incidence of uti's have no correlation in the literature. There are many OTC and herbal alte...

I've been using the lisinopril 10 mg by Sandoz for quite some time now and in February 2016, I refilled my prescription and surprise to see a round sd hoped pill instead of the Oval that I used to get so I took it back to the pharmacy and the assured me that the pill was by Sandoz and that they changed the shape from oval to round. ## Hi Dio, Thanks for the heads up on the pill change. It's unfortunate that pharmacies have to make this a surprise for us at every refill. I was just looking up some information on these round lisinopril tablets by Sandoz and am not sure if I found the correct imprint, but I believe their 10mg is marked with "E 101" and carries the following National Drug Code: 00185-0101. Interesting that they would choose to change pill shapes. And I doubt...

What does above mean? The "7L" is imprinted on my pill along with "001", but the "description" on the label only says that "001" is imprinted?? Please help!! Thank you!! ## The tablet with the TL 001 marking is not Metformin. It is manufactured by Cadista and they list it as containing 4mgs of Methylprednisolone, which a steroid used to treat allergic reactions and immune disorders. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, fluid retention, nervousness, insomnia, acne, and weight gain. SMALL WHITE TABLETS ## My mother has been on Atenolol for her blood pressure for years and now the pharmacist told he is out of Atenolol and gave her Sandoz as a replacement. I take 5 different medications and any time the pharmacy changes any of them to Sandoz without my knowledge, I start having changes in my thinking and mental health that are subtle. I slowly lose my sanity and start to hear voices that really aren't there and confusion. I'm scared! As I'm slowly loosing reality, I find out they have changed 1 or 2 of them to the Sandoz manufacturer. I now have to be cautious and change from pharmacy to pharmacy because everyone one now uses Sandoz because it is so cheap to buy! I think it should be taken off the market! It's horrifying to me and many others with all different kinds of medications! HELP!!! ## Sandoz is the name of a prescription medication manufacturer, not a particular drug. I've been on Sandoz/Eon Labs Adderral 20MG for something like 10-15 years and it's always worked beautifully for me. However, it's become harder and harder to find in my area over the years (South Orange County, California). I called 15 pharmacies this morning and no one had it (both franchises and small mom and pop pharmacies). One pharmacy said it was "discontinued." Another one said Sandoz was bought out by another company and is no longer producing the medication. I've been told by multiple locations that "only people who already have it in stock are going to have it" and it won't be possible to order it. I'm at a loss for those of you who have reacted well to Sandoz, is there any other brand you've responded well to? I'm kinda despera...
