Is bi- Profenid a narcotic? If not, what cN I ask the dentist for? I'm in France on Vacation and we have a difficult time understanding each other. ## Dihydrocodeine ## @Rikii, Bi-profenid (ketoprofen) is "not" classified as a narcotic. It is in a class of medications called NSAID. It works by stopping the body's production of a substance that causes pain, fever, and inflammation. You can read more about it here: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0000862 I hope this helps to answer your question!

Can anyone tell me what this pill is used for?. The bottle says take 1 twice daily. ## I will have to assume that the abbreviation Guaife/dm/pseud 80/30/45 stands for Guaifenesin 800 mg + Dextromethorphan 30 mg + Pseudoephedrine 45 mg - in which case it is a decongestant, cough suppressant, and expectorant combination used to treat cough and to relieve congestion due to colds, flu, or hay fever. ## thank you very much.

A friend has been taking Biprofenid 150 mg one a day for 3 days and now his urine is red. Is this normal? ## HI, Cathy! Has he consulted his doctor? He should do so immediately, that could be due to blood in the urine, which means there may be internal bleeding somewhere. Bi-Profenid contains the active ingredient Ketoprofen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and it can cause stomach ulceration and an increased risk of bleeding as possible side effects. Which stronger for inflammation I- profen or rapidus 50 ? ## Hello, Raad! How are you? Both of these medications are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories and both are effective, so you should take whichever your doctor has advised you to take. The U.S. FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?

How are you? Actually, you'd be better of with the Ibuprofen if your doctor approves of you taking it, since it is classified by the FDA as an NSAID that is used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. Cyclobenzaprine, however, is a muscle relaxant, not an analgesic, so it won't do anything to help with a toothache. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything e...

It's a big round red pill, with N above the number 400 on one side and nothing on the other. I've been looking around on the internet but I have had no luck. I looked up the description in Google images to see if I can find one that looks the same, and can't find it, looked on multiple websites for it with no luck. Can someone please tell me what this is? ## Hello, Mike! How are you? I found one listed that matches this as being Novo-Profen, it contains 400mgs of Ibuprofen, which is used to treat pain, fever and swelling. I'm taking Nucynta 100mg 4 x a day with IB profen 800mg 3 x a day for back pain but am currently out of Nucynta so I have been taking Tylenol/Codeine # 3 and # 4 with my IB Profen and a few 7.5 Meloxicam. I should be getting my refill today but I take the other meds to keep from going into withdrawels, been there several times getting off Oxy, and several other opiates and it is nothing nice. Are these safe to mix? ## You should not be mixing the Ibuprofen and the Meloxicam, the FDA classifies these both as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, so you are essentially doubling up on the same medication, which increases your risk of bleeding, stomach irritation, and possible ulceration. How are you doing? There is also a risk of liver damage from combining those two medications, according...
