My wife decided to change our health care plan to save me a few bucks and apparently they fast talked her or she didn’t catch it all.. but long story short, while speaking with Cigna / marketplace / healthcare.gov, they told my wife and I that our copay would simply jump to $40 from $20... OK, I can live with that, at least I thought, until I went to fill my meds today. Apparently we don't have a copay ... well let me rephrase that: it doesn’t kick in till we pay our $8000 deductible. I have never heard of a deductible having to be met to get meds (visits to docs, etc, ok). But I been paying 20 bucks for 2 years straight for my meds and today I was quoted for one 30 day supply a price that exceeded what 2.5 years of my previous medicine costed me.. $500 plus dollars! im looking for free Suboxone. My dr prescibe it but the cost is prohibited. Can you help obtain this drug cheaper. Thank you, jason Marino ## Hi jason, From what I could gather, I'm not aware of any organizations or pharmacies offering free Suboxone with a valid prescription. However there are a number of coupons available to the public online that I know of, which may be helpful to you in saving a good portion of the cost. One of the more popular prescription coupon sites that may be of help is medicationcoupons.com/suboxone_coupon They mention a savings of up to $45 each time you fill your Suboxone prescription. Hopefully others on here will have their own recommendations for you, but this is a solid one in my opinion. ## I need help ASAP. My dr prescribed me suboxone 8mg. I'v...

I just want to feel better. ## Hello, Tiffany! How are you? What are the markings on them? Do you know who the manufacturer is? The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I was in the suboxone clinic and was doing great but I couldn't quit the xanax and i don't go to a doctor on a regular basis but I'm trying to find one but I need a suboxone Dr that will write me something for my nerves and the suboxone. I know there are some that will. I have been on xanax for 20 years and I have tried so hard to come off them. I am a person that when I set my head on something i do it but I have to say that they stop me. I have been prescribed them and i don't take no more than the dr use to give me, that's 4 1mgs. I have been on suboxone since 2008. 3 weeks ago I was switched to Zubsolve bc my ins stopped paying for the subs. Anyway the Zubs are awful. I've been sick for 3 weeks and am having to take 3x the dose I'm suppose to be taking. I'm going to the doc today to get back on the suboxone, yet I still have the ins problem. Has anyone been on both Suboxone and Subutex to compare the 2. Subutex would be a lot cheaper if it actually works. I don't want to buy another script that doesn't work. Zubsolv was suppose to be the same as suboxone, even better. It is a nightmare for me. It does not work at all like the suboxone. Anyone??? Thanks ## Was on buprenorphine for 3 years and My ins did the same thing.. I was on zubsolv for week and had the worst headache, felt awful.. Decided...

From the prescription drug community website, next to the listed drug, Suboxone, was the word 'Buprenorphine'. Is this the generic drug for Suboxone? ## No what your husband has is generic subutex. It is buprenorphine alone. Suboxone has naloxone in it also. Their is no generic suboxone yet. Generic subutex is alot cheaper, but doctors dont like to prescribe it. I wish they would. People who are really addicts cant afford suboxone. ## That is correct, Buprenorphine is the active opioid ingredient in Suboxone, but it also contains Naloxone, to help prevent the abuse of other opiates, while being treated with it. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. ...

what is the price on the new generic suboxone sl 8 mg /2 mg per tablet? I am a pain killer addict. I was addicted to Lortabs for about 7-8 years. I began seeing a new doctor & was prescribed Suboxone 2/.5 mg & was on that until about 6 months ago when I was changed to Buprenorphine due to it being cheaper. My question is, I have become increasingly depressed & dealing with anxiety as well as becoming very withdrawn & moody. Could that be a side effect of this medication? there is a generic Suboxone out now. they begin shipping them to pharmacies the last week of February. also, if you have any type of insurance you will automatically get the generic suboxin. The doctor has no say in whether you get the name brand or generic really. even if he writes a prescription for suboxone, the pharmacist will automatically give you the generics if you have insurance. if you don't have any insurance, you can ask the pharmacist to give you generics because they are cheaper. Plus, R and B has stopped making the name brand suboxin pills. they are only making be films now. So whenever your pharmacy runs out of the original suboxin, there will not be any more. ## @sean21, Do you happen to know by any chance who the manufacturer is or what the new generic Suboxone is ...

I was taking suboxone for the past 3-4 years after being addicted to lortabs for nearly 7 years. I was only taking on average 2 1/2 - 3 a day, some days up to 8 some days down to 1 depending on the supply in town. It was hell waking up everyday having to take pills to be normal. I discovered suboxone from a friend and got really sick taking my first one (it was only a 1/3 of one). I discovered that if I cut it into strips of about 1/8" long that was plenty enough to function. One sub would last about a week. I was way cheaper to buy this than Iortabs and I functioned 10x better. I recently decided I would taper down even less and attempt to quit all together. I'm on day 4 with no subs and have excruciating pains in my legs and diarrhea. My friend has given me ultram to halfway h...

Does the Company Actavis Elizabeth LLC offer any discounts or copay like the brand name Suboxon strips do?. I ask b/c the new white sublingual (half moon 155) pill, still cost more than the name brand sublingual films do. I cant use my $50 copay i use on the suboxone film. it comes out to be $130 more a month for this generic. Please Help if u know. have no insurance! ## No, such assistance things aren't generally offered for generic medications, except in the case of some that are considered to be life sustaining. Normally, generics are cheaper, just by the nature of being generic. However, if the price is cheaper for you when getting the name brand, you may want to ask your doctor if they can write 'brand medically necessary' on the prescription, so your pharmacy has to gi...
