My 5yr old was prescribed calvepen 250mg for tonsilitis. The 7 days are up and it has cleared up,no further temps. He now has a bad cough, does Calvepen work for chest infections or will he need a different antib? ## It would be best to consult his doctor, because after one course of treatment, he may have built up some resistance to this one and might need to use a different antibiotic this time. I have been on these tablets for 5 days now as I have tonsilitis and a chest infection.Once day 3 came i have been feeling weak in my legs like i cant walk and also have a draining feeling in my arms like dead arms.
