Found a blue & white capsule pill, says 30 mg and thats it what is this pill?????? ## Well, there is no 30mgs of Ativan available anywhere, that would be a supreme overdose, so we can rule that out. I'm wondering if it may be a generic for one of the popular ADHD medications, but I'm not finding one that matches it, at this moment. Where did you find it? ## Likely cymbalta it's a 30 mg cap and blue and white

Watson 241 1 is Lorazepam, a generic for Ativan. This is an antianxiety medication of the same class as Xanax and Valium. V 366 I cannot find ...

My doctor had upped my meds from 1mg of Ativan to suppose to be 5mg it is round yellow pill I think there might of been a mistake. Thank you ## Yes, I do believe some mistake has occured. Ativan, which contains the active ingredient Lorazepam is not available in a 5mg dosage. The tablets are only available in 0.5mgs, 1mg and 2mgs. There is a round, off-white tablet in the 0.5mg dosage, that has an M on one side and the numbers 321 on the other. A 2mg tablet that is slightly off-white with an R over 774 on one side. Another off-white 2mg has the marking of MP over 96. Do any of these match the markings on the tablet you have? If not, please post back with the markings and I can look it up for you, so see what it contains.

Looking for new things happening in the medical field about this drug. ## Ativan is NOT new, it was approved by the FDA and placed on the prescription drug market in 1977. The active ingredient is Lorazepam. This is a Benzodiazepine, so in the same class as Valium or Xanax and just as addictive. How long it takes to start working depends on your body and metabolism, it can range from 2 weeks to a month. Some of the most common side effects include: sedation, dizziness and weakness. ## Just been put on gabapentin for pelvic pain caused by interstitial cystitis. First week is 100 mg three times a day. Hard to believe but first three days felt like my old self but now pain is back. Was that unusual or does that happen. Also will it help me as time goes on My doctor wants to slowly increase...

Just wondering the best way to taper off Ativan. I have been on Ativan for 3weeks now, was put on for anxiety 1mg. 4x a day. My doctor told me to take this much for a week and then taper to 1mg 3x a day the next week and that is when I would see him again. Well I did what he told me to do and the first week it really helped me and then I cut it down to 3 a day but by the 3rd day of tapering down to 3 A day I started feeling a little shaky and a bit Anxious. I saw my doctor 2days after this and was really quite emotional. He stated he was hoping that this would take care of my anxiety and that I could start tapering but it did not look like that was going to happen. He put me on lexapro and I have now been on this for a week and still taking Ativan per my doctor until lexapro kicks in. I...

I have been on Ativan for 25+ years name brand. I have no insurance and do not qualify for assistance. Does anyone know where I can get this at the best possible cost. It is now over $600 for 45 tablets. I have tried generic in the past, which did not work for me. Any suggestions on coming off or switching Rx's. I have tapered down to 1.5 from 3 mg per day. Still feel I need it to function normally. Help appreciated. ## Hi flowers, If you don't have insurance and are unable to qualify for any patient assistance programs, I would encourage you to look into Rx savings cards. MedsChat actually offers one that can save you anywhere from 15% to 75% off your prescription, potentially cutting the cost drastically. You can view more details about it on the following page: Rx Savings Car...

i have recently been prescribed ativan which seems to help some, but i am wondering if xanax would work better ## they are roughly equivalent, but Xanax hits the nervous system faster, and gets out of you system faster. Both good for panic, crappy for sleep, wouldn't use either for persistant symptoms of anxiety. ## Just to add some further information.... A lot of it can also depend on the individual involved, one may not work for them, while another might, so sometimes it's really just a matter of trial and error to see which medication works for you. I'm going to include the link for information on them, in case anyone else is looking for more details and wants to know which ones are available. You can learn more Benzodiazepine details here. Are there any questions or comm...

Small white pill, line on one side. The other side has fish symbol and the number 59 below it. ## It does indeed look like a fish, but it is supposed to be an R, it's the logo used by the manufactured Actavis on some of their products. This one contains 1mg of Lorazepam, the active ingredient in Ativan, it is a Benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. Learn more Lorazepam details here. Where did you find it? ## Thank you for your help.

what is the color of ativan 1mg ## The way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, so there may be many different (1mg) Ativan pills on the market that aren't the same color or shape as what you might be expecting. Locating the imprint on the pill in question is the most effective way to determine every detail about it. Do you know what the markings on this specific pill are, or even the name of the manufacturer by chance? If you do, I can easily look it up for you and determine the color of the pill among whatever other attributes it possess. Hope this helps! ## white oblong a"v" on one side.and on other side I believe its6469 THANK youwas told its Ativan but not sure of strength. ## Hi Paul, The pill in description with that marking is ac...

I found 2 small, white oval pills with a score on the back and the number 20 on the front. I believe they are supposed to be Ativan. I've looked at every pill id site and nothing. Also googled every benzodiazepene image and nothing. Generic brand of something? I live in BC, Canada ## Hi Gruven, I have located a small white oval pill with the imprint 20 on one side and a N C imprint on the other (which is divided by a crescent shaped score). This pill is identified as Generic IPG-Citalopram (Citalopram Hydrobromide tablets) 20 mg. Maybe the N C imprint got rubbed off at some point? Citalopram belongs to the drug class selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI) and is used in the treatment of anxiety and stress, depression, postpartum depression, vulvodynia, premenstrual dysphoric...

My doctor just retired. I saw my new "nurse practioner" tonight. I was getting refills on my prescriptions and she looked at my ativan and said no this isn't happening. She said ativan doesn't work and she will not be prescribing it for me after the next bottle. I have been on ativan for 12 years. It completely controls my anxiety. What do I do? Can she do this? ## Unfortunately, she can do it. It's extremely unethical though. She should, at least, provide you with an extensive titration/taper plan. I would try to find another doctor. One that will continue to provide you with lorazepam or slowly taper you off. Benzo withdrawal can be protracted and last indefinitely if not done properly. Even then some withdrawal symptoms can last for years. I wish you the best. I...

Could someone please tell me if Ativan can cause glazing look in the eyes? ## Absolutely, it is a Benzodiapine, the same drug class as Xanax or Valium. It tends to cause an initial spaciness in people who have not adjusted to taking the med, or have recently experienced a dosage change. These type of side effects usually wear off in about 2 weeks, give or take a few days to account for a person's individual body chemistry and the way it may process a medication. For more side effect info and etc. here's a link to the drug monograph: Ativan Info Click Here Hope that helps! ## Check the Fentanyl thread for some info on generic v brand name. I was labeled with panic disorder about three years ago. I've had Klonopin prescribed while I was on suboxone and alto it helped a little tiny bit, it was not nearly enough. I was taking two mg three times daily. Along with 20 mg suboxone daily. That's two and a half pills. I panic for no good reason. My chest is always hurting and heavy and I can't ever catch my breath. I have to try and yawn to catch my breath bit the yawn had to be a true yawn our it jUst makes it wiser. I'm panicking daily all day and night. I want to rip my hair out. This is not fair. As for the Kolonapin, valium and ativan. Over the past 4 years, ive used all three. First was valium 10mg tid. It help some with the anxiety but not enuf. It also helped a bit as a muscle relaxer. But my then dr changed me to ativan 1mg, tho he was against it. I changed dr's in sept 2013 who is a general prac, but also a pain mgmt dr. He didnt like the ativan either, mostly cuz I was getting 150 pillz a month so he recently ( dec 2013) switched me to kolonapin 1mg four times daily. I havent noticed major difference between them but so far the kolonapin is working best. As for pain, they only increase meds and dosage. Started with vicodin 5, 7.5 & 10mgs. Then old dr switched me to methodone 10mg 3x daily which didnt work at all, hence reason for changing drs. We looked at my inju...
