I hear that Regestrone contains progestrone which has the ability to make you sleep. Can that be related? Or am I going through menopause? What should I do about my sleep disorder ## Hello, Yas! How are you? It's hard to say what's causing your insomnia, but after several months, it isn't likely due to the Regestrone. Withdrawal effects, as reported by the FDA, usually only last a month or so, at most. They may also include headache, insomnia and breakthrough bleeding. It could be menopause, insomnia can be a typical symptom of it, but there are also many other things that could cause it...

Not having Periods so doctor suggested this tablet. Still after three days of medication not having the period cycle going. ## This is a progesterone hormone and it doesn't necessarily cause your menstrual cycle to start. However, you can experience menstrual irregularities, if your body isn't producing enough of it, so supplementing it can help rectify the problem. But, in most cases, it just helps restore your natural cycle and doesn't actually force it to start. for how many days regestrone can delay periods??? ## Hi shivu, Based on my research, Regesterone contains the active ingredient Norethisterone. If you wish to delay your menstrual cycle, then it is very important to start the medication before your cycle starts, as it will not stop it, once you are already menstruating, though it may shorten the duration. The duration of time your period will be delayed is dependent on your own unique body chemistry, it may delay it for a couple days or even as long as a week. Just take into consideration that it is a hormone, so if you haven't been taking it regularly and your body isn't used to it, it may cause you to start your cycle- rather than delaying it. It really depends on how your body reacts to the medication. You can learn more abou...

I have ovary cyst and my doctor prescribe Regestron 5 mg tablet to be taken for 12 days. Will the cyst dissolve by these tablest as said by my doctor. ## Hi, Sunita! How are you feeling? Regestrone contains Progesterone and yes, it can be effective at treating or preventing ovarian cysts. However, it may take more than one cycle to do so, it usually takes 3 or 4 months, especially with just the 12 day usage. It may initially wake up the estrogen in your body, so you may experience symptoms such as nausea, headache, weight gain, fluid retention and irritability. I'm age 37 and I have a problem of irregular periods. My gynecologist suggested I take Regestrone 5mg. Is there any need for me to take this tablet at the same exact time everyday? Is a time gap of half an hour acceptable or not? My doctor said after taking this tablet that it will stop my periods, but that has not happened. Kindly advise. ## Hello, Pooja! How are you? Yes, a small variation is fine and will not change anything, just try not to go too far, keep it within that half-hour window, if possible. How long have you been taking it? It may take awhile for it to reach its full level of efficacy in your body, to see if it stops your period. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and PMS-like symptoms.

will sandoz regestrone destroy early pregnancy? i am five days late and a really scared..please help me..suppose am pregnant and if i take sandoz regestrone will it make my periods come? ## FAST ANSWER ## Yes, if you are pregnant, there is a chance that the synthetic Progesterone that is contained in Regrestrone could cause a miscarriage, when it is suddenly withdrawn. For instance, if you're pregnant and take it for 5 to 7 days, then stop taking it, the withdrawal could result in your not having enough Progesterone in your body to continue to support the pregnancy. This is actually similar to how some of the emergency contraceptive pills work, aka the morning after pills. They add a high dose, then it is suddenly withdrawn to prevent pregnancy from occurring. This will not happen, ...
