On my priscription bottle it list the amount of pills in the bottle as 30. Under that it says DS 15. Does that mean days supply or something else? ## Hi Bill, This may or may not be the case with your Rx, but I often see the abbreviation "DS" being referred to as "Double Strength" for some antibiotics such as Bactrim DS / Sulfamethoxazole + Trimethoprim DS / SMZ-TMP DS. However, I would still encourage you to contact your doctor or local pharmacy just to know for certain. What type of prescription is it? ## Xanax says Qty 90 underneath DS 30. I'm confused. TBH I'm going to have to start counting my meds before I leave my pharmacy BC there's no way there were 90 in the bottle. I'm confused. I've been taking this med since 15 and I'm now 43. Somethi...

I don't know if prescription this is for 20 or 30 days ## Hello, JR! How are you? That means it's to be taken orally every 6 hours, as defined by the NIH. So, at a one tablet dosing, that would mean you'd take 4 a day and it would be a 60 day supply. If you're supposed to take 2 tablets each time, then that would be a 30 day supply. If you can post back with more details, such as which medication it is, I might be able to tell you more. Can you post back and clarify? Thanks! ## My medication 1to2 pills every 6hrs

please let me know what this pill is. I found it in my 15 yr son's drawer, I specified arrow, but it is more like a arrow tip. ## Hi Lynn, Did you mean to type QT 200 as the imprint? If so, I've identified a white round pill with that imprint as Co-Quetiapine (200 mg) from Canada. Based on my research, Quetiapine is used to treat symptoms of schizophrenia, manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder, and depressive episodes associated with bipolar disorder. It belongs to a class of medications known as antipsychotics and works by affecting the actions of certain chemicals in the brain known as neurotransmitters. It is sometimes used off-label, often as an augmentation agent, to treat conditions such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, autism, al...

IBUROHIN ## i found a small white round pill with the number 30 on the very top. on the other side is a m inside a square ## I am sorry, did you mean Ibuprofen? If so, it is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that used to pain, fever, and swelling. It is available over the counter in the U.S. in doses of 200mgs, or less. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, easy bruising, and increased risk of bleeding. Qt, was the tablet possibly a light blue? Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals does list that they make a very pale blue one that contains 30mgs of Oxycodone, in a regular release formulation. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, and constipatio...

On our prescription label for sotalol hcl tabs, the sequence aptx2 appears in the bottom right hand corner. What does this sequence mean? ## What manufacturer named APTX2 makes generic atorvastatin? ## I think it is this Canadian company. Apotex. apotex.com/us/en/products/search.asp?qt=All&qs=&t=All%20Products ## Jim is right. I just got on their website. I have just been changed to this generic and have a suspicion that it is what is causing my recent brain fog and fatigue. The website does not tell what country it is made in.The fact that Canada is where the company is does not mean that that is where it was made. I did not feel this way when taking the former generic I was on or when I was on Lipitor. Has anyone else had trouble with this drug? ## That stands for the manufact...

My daughter has just been given this prescription: DILAUDID – 8 MG Take 3 Tabs PO TID for PRN 30Days Qty:270 Repeats:0 What does it mean? ## 3 pills twice a day for 30 days no refills, this is an unusual rx what is it for? ## The PO means per oral route, so that means to swallow them and the TID actually means three times in a day. Twice in a day would be BID. This is Dialudid, which is a very potent narcotic, so being told she can take 3 of them at once is very unusual and if she isn't tolerant to narcotics, they could make her ill, so she might not want to start with 3. Learn more Dilaudid details here. What was she prescribed them for? ## Oh and just to add a further note on part that I missed, the PRN means she's to take them on an as needed basis, so this...

I just took my first dose after our family doc got my Federal Blue Cross prescription plan pre-approved. Bought Wegovy at a Walgreens pharmacy in Pennsylvania (U.S.A.). I'm curious about why the Walgreens label says "QTY 2", even though the box has 4 single-dose pens. Same for my wife. Does anyone know what this QTY means? ## Did you and your wife fill your prescriptions together? I wonder if "QTY 2" means a quantity 2 total prescriptions being filled? ## I was told it says 2 because its 0.25ml of Wegovy and a 0.5ml of injection. That's what they said at Walgreens; however I would check with the doctor. I am not a medical professional; just sharing my personal experience. ## The quantity 2 on your label stands for 2 ml (milliliters). The medication contains 0.25m...

What does this mean: "CODE 96376 TX/PRO/DX INJ NEW DRUG ADON (Qty 2)"? I would like to learn what this means. ## Hi Bill, From what I've gathered, "TX/PRO/DX INJ" reportedly stands for Therapeutic, Prophylactic, Diagnostic Injections & Infusions. The code digits and text abbreviations as a whole are simply an admin/billing code used for various procedures & supplies that may be involved during such treatment. I hope this helps!

I have bottle of liquid hydrocodon-Acetamin 7.5-325/15 & the QTY:150 how many ML EQUALS TO ONE TABLET ## Hello, Mob! How are you? 15, that's what the 7.5-325/15 means on the label, that's the dosage you get in 15mls, 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## 5 mls is 1 teaspoon. 1 teaspoon of this med is 7.5 mg Hydrocodone/325 Acetaminophen. ## if 5 mls is 1 teaspoon, than the 15 would refer to 3 teaspoons equaling the actual dosage of 7.5-325. Am I right or am I right? ## I think Im right, 5mls, 1 teaspoon equals 7.5 mg Hydrocodone/325 Acetaminophen. 3 teas...

If your supposed to take a med 1pill every 4 hours how many pills total is that a day? ## Is that like 6 total pills a day? ## Prescription says to take 1 tab every 6 hours...how many pills is that taking a day? I'm thinking thats 4 pills a day. The total qty is 120 for a month. 4 pills a day for 30 days is 120 pills total...right? ## Yes, every 4 hours would be 6 pills a day and every 6 hours would be 4 pills a day. However, it should be noted that you may not need to take that many of all medications. Some, such as pain medications, may be prescribed to be taken as needed and that means you can take it a maximum of that many times a day, but you don't have to take them all, if you don't need to do so. But for others, such as antibiotics or cardiac medications, you should t...

my script is for clonazepam o.5 mg take 1 or 2 tablets by mouth twice daily. does this mean i can take 4 pills daily? should the qty for 30 days be 120 or 60/ ## Hi, Loumac! How are you? That would normally mean that you can take up to 4 pills a day, but you should check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain. Learn more Clonazepam details here. On the quantity, there is no specific amount that your doctor has to prescribe. There is a maximum that they can't exceed, but if they're expecting you to not always need 4 tablets a day, then they don't have to prescribe that many, they could just prescribe 30 or 60, if they feel it's appropriate. This medication does have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, irritability...
