It was very interesting to read all of the complaints about the different brands of percoset and their effectiveness. Watson was the only brand that helped me. It was a sad day when Actavis took them over and stopped producing their percoset. I even called the company and complained. I have the same issue with Fentanyl patch brands. I'm so happy to see I'm not alone! ## Hello, Marie! How are you? There are two name brand Percocet tablets currently available, both listed by the FDA as being in the 5/325mg dosage. One is a round, white tablet with the word PERCOCET on one side and DuPont on the opposite. The other is a round, white tablet that has the marking PERCOCET 5 the front. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit formi...

My pharmacy keeps trying to change my generic 10/325 percocet, I always check ahead of time to not get the crappy generics. So I have just been told the ones they have now are oblong, flat, yellow with markings E712 on one side & 10/325 on the other side. & was told they are made by Endo. Do you have any feedback on how good this particular generic is? I have chronic intractable pain so I rely on it for breakthru pain, I am also on 100 pgu Par brand fentanyl patch. ## @glokim, This is just my feedback from reading personal reviews here on MedsChat, but it appears that Endo is widely thought to be one of the better manufacturers of generic Percocet; at least to the extent of many patients here preferring it over other options. On the contrary, each medication can affect each indi...

I found a fentanyl patch in the closet that's probably 3 months old , it wasnt ever used but it's out of its packaging . Can I still use it ? ## Hello Hunter, Yes like all medications they have an expiration date. I'm looking right now at some old 100mcg/hr for 72 hours that I use to use. I got them from the pharmacy about 6 months ago and their expiration date is Aug. 2016 So that would be about a 1 year and 8 months expiration since it was dispensed. As long as the backing hasn't been removed it should be OK and stick to the skin. Be sure to apply it where you have the most fat tissue for best absorption. DO NOT try and ingest any part of the patch's active ingredient. It can cause an overdose! The total amount of Fentanyl in the 100mcg/hr patch is 11mg total and t...

Does this come in a extended release pill form? ## I would ask a pharmasist, or look it up on google, but I am pretty sure it only comes in patchs and lollipops Pat ## Good Morning I have been on fentany patches for about 2 years, and have recently had major reaction at site causing bliistering, scabbing, some bleeding, and feeling up and down regarding pain.I have spinal injuries in neck, and back.I have also had neck and back surgery, but have since fallen on ice very hard and have damaged neck and back.I need to know if there is a pill form in controlled release to replace patch?.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.Thank you so much for your response. I am always tired. Looking for energy. Friend gave me a fentanyl 75mcg patch. Will that give me energy? ## Hello, Mozzy! How are you? No, the FDA classifies Fentanyl as a narcotic analgesic and it can cause dizziness, drowsiness and fatigue as side effects, along with nausea, dry mouth and constipation. This is also very potent and should not be used if it wasn't prescribed for you. If you are not opiate tolerant, you could easily overdose. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am having a problem where it feels like my brain is spinning inside my head. Sometimes it spins so fast it feels like my head is going to explode.I'm not sure if fenatynl is the problem if I don't remember to change it fast enough or if the percoct 10/325 are the problem but I am tiling crazy and I need some help to understand.PLEASE . ## @Wheeles, Based on my research, it looks like both Percocet and Fentanyl could be the cause for what you've been experiencing... "Percocet's most frequently observed non-serious adverse reactions include lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness or sedation, nausea, and vomiting." Referenced from: dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?id=22184#nlm34084-4 Fentanyl also lists very similar side effects: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/...

I bought fentanyl / fentermina 30 mg in Mexico it's a small off white pill with letters apo on one side and a line down the other. Is this what it is supposed to look like? ## I got the same things yesterday. Did you find them to be real? Did they work? ## If you filled your prescription in Mexico I would recommend contacting the pharmacy there for any additional details pertaining to this medication. Perhaps they can at least provide you with manufacturer information as a means of verifying its legitimacy. Since countries outside of the US don't have the same rigorous evaluations and standards that the FDA requires, another option that may feel more secure is to have its contents analyzed by a lab or drug panel. Just going off the description alone it still seems like too much ...

It's a very potent narcotic opiate, over 80 times stronger than Morphine, so it generally requires just a very small dose to work. Learn more Fentanyl details here. Nothing on other side what is this pill Ah 511 other side small white pill ## Hello, Christine! How are you? I think the marking you're looking at is actually AN 511, I have a bottle of these that I just picked up from my pharmacy. These tablets are manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and they list them as containing 25mgs of Spironolactone, which is a potassium sparing diuretic used to remove excess fluid from the body. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and dehydration. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks, yes I'm very disabled in my neck, back, was on 150 mg fentinyal duragesic patch,I lost pain Dr over something none medical related, how do I get my fentiyal again? ?? ## Fentanyl is a ...

I am wondering if the new pain management patch Fentanyl 100 mc I've started would interact with Ritalin 40 mg day I'm given for severe weakness due to my old and misdiagnosed CIDP - I was looking for a better pain relief option, (OxyContin 80OP 3 day would "poop out" after 3 years), so this patch appears to be working (fingers crossed), but after reading many horrid stories of OD upon misusing, I was afraid now of my Ritalin intake along with the patch - I couldn't find any warning posted against it. Anyone knows anything? Please? Thank you, friends! ## Hello, kSasha, how are you? The issue here is that the Fentanyl causes sedation, since it's a narcotic and the Ritalin increases alertness. It's not that they can't be taken together, but there may some o...

I was on hydrocodone, xanax, soma and I was given a fentanyl patch 100mcg due to a fall. It damn near killed me. Because of sheer stupidity, I cut this patch and took a minuscule amount of the gel, evidently an extreme amount went into my system. My nurse at the time (I actually had a HH RN) was there 30 minutes after I took it, I was having chest pain, was very confused. And a ROOKIE paramedic gave me Morphine! 4mg IV push was added to the prior "recipe/concoction" and it through me in to SEVERE Respiratory Depression. I was breathing 6RPM in less than a 7 minute ride to the ER / unconscious of course; and a Nurse Practitioner in her infinite wisdom without looking at my med list, or seeing I was taking medication for chronic pain gave me Narcan which could have put me in full ...

If a person is not getting enough Fentanyl in the prescribed patch, will they experience withdrawal symptoms? ## That's hard to say, were you switched to the FTC from some other opioid? Is the dosage equivalent to your former opioid. If not then yes, you will have W/Ds from this sudden drop in dosage strength. Inside the FTD box is a very comprehensive PI that includes an equivalency chart for other opioids, have a look at it and if you are being under-Rx'ed, show it to your Dr. so that he will increase your dosage strength. FTD, on it's own, will not produce W/Ds . . . Q ## It is possible to experience withdrawal symptoms anytime your dosage is suddenly lowered, or a medication is withdrawn. When it comes to an opiate, like Fentanyl, the FDA warns that the possible withdraw...

When I was going crazy with pain and looking for relief ,the patch was a Godsend.I started the patch at 25mcg about 7 years ago, I am now on .75mcg.,and using percocet for breakthrough.I have stopped the Percocet because of the similar affects on the stomach I have become plagued with bowel obstructions and Opiod induced constipation ,have resorted to double dose laxtives and Citro-mag every other day in order to go to the bathroom. On a soft diet for last 4 months and losing weight,Ensure and Gravol have become my new best friend.I would kill for some KFC.Problem is I am going for nerve blocks in a couple of weeks, hoping to reduce the strength of the patch needed, hoping that will help with the bathroom problems. I am terrified about going through withdrawal.Going from 75mcg to 50 mcg se...

Is there any way of finding out which pharmacies contract with certain distributors? My pharmacy informed me when I went in to fill my prescription that they've been unable to order the fentanyl patches I've been receiving (used to be Mallinckrodt, recently Alvogen), and tbh anytime things deviate from the norm they don't provide me with much information, are very difficult to communicate with, and not very helpful, so them trying to track down a distributor that does have them or arming me with information to remedy the situation some other way is pretty much out of the question. They probably have a contract with only one or two distributors anyway, and apparently they're the distributors experiencing shortage. I looked up fentanyl transdermal shortages and a post ment...

We moved from Connecticut down to Florida, with medical charts in hand. We were told in Connecticut that we could go into any CVS/Walgreens stores to refill prescriptions, as it's a universal drug store. Now, I know the Duragesic Patch cannot be refilled through the system and must be handwritten and handed to the pharmacist. We complied with those rules (Florida having many!). We went to CVS, they looked up my mother's record and saw that she indeed has the Duragesic Patch. I handed them the script and it took them 10 long days to get it in. We then decided after that experience we would use Walgreens down the road from our home. We went in, explained the experience we had with CVS, they rolled their eyes and told us it would only take 3 days at the most with them. So, when it ...

I have been having problems since they took me off of the duragesics made by jennsen, I am looking for a similar brand that helps my pain and does not fall off, I liked the sandoz but there is some back up on those i do not like the matrix because I get no relief, gell patches fall off ## Why did they take you off of it? Do you mean your pharmacy just switched which one they're providing? If that's the case, you can ask if they can order that one back in for you. You just may have to pay any price difference between it and their current one, because your insurance usually won't. As to the ones that fall off, there are also solutions available for that, there are some medical tapes and overlay patches that you can get to prevent them doing that. ## @vERWON PLEASE if you could...
