I have been diagnosed with alopecia aretae . I m going thru severe hair loss. Doc prescribed me tricovit tab . Is Tab Follihair and Bitozed Forte equivalent.. ? As my earlier dr had prescribed for hair loss Follihair tab to me, & now another dr had prescribed Bitozed Forte...now since I have Sufficient BItozed Forte tablets with me,can I continue finishing same before I switch over to Follihair? Hi All, I'm 34 year old male suffering for hair loss & thinning. Want to start treatment with I've planned to start some non "DHT Inhibitor" treatment for my Norwood 4/5 & thinning hairs with Minoxidil 5% (topical solution) & Ketoconazole-2 % based shampoo but got too confused on vitamins and supplements. I need to know if it's true that it helps offset the loss of hair some people experience(1/3 of hair some need wigs) and what are the dosages 10,000 mcs or mls plus Vit B complex and what vitamins/mineral supple ments? ## Biotin may help, but the only way to find out is for you to try it. However, you should always check with your doctor to make sure that it's safe for you to do so. You shouldn't exceed the dosage suggested by your doctor or on the product packaging. How can I stop hair loss due to taking Amlodipine 10mg? ## I would personally recommend natural alternatives to counteract it, that way there is no risk of having even more side effects associated with another prescription medication. I found that supplementing with liver pills is a great source of iron, biotin, and B-vitamins which help to keep hair strong and healthy. Another reliable option is supplementing with fish oil or hemp seed oil; particularly the omega 3 and 6 fatty acids are great for hair. One last option I would recommend is ceedarwood essential oil for stopping the hair from falling out. I am on my fourth month of androgel. I have noticed that my hair has gone from a white gray color to a darker color with tones of brown coming back. I am 60 years old and find this strange. Has anyone else noticed this? ## Testosterone and gray hair are not known to be related, but I supposed it's possible that a hormonal imbalance may have cause you to gray more than you naturally would have otherwise. I am 17 year old and I have many gray hairs please tell me how to.stop the spread of gray hairs ## @Niranjan, I do think gray hair is a bit unusual at that age, but if you consider yourself to be an otherwise healthy individual, I'd be curious to find out whether its presence could simply be a naturally occurring genetic trait? One thing I would encourage you to do though is to have blood work done in order to check for any important nutrient deficiencies (specifically B vitamins). According to an article I found online, if you don't obtain enough vitamin B5 and B6 through your diet, your hair can actually lose its natural color. These are the only two vitamins that are supposed to be made by your body, but you will not be getting enough if you are sick or taking prescription drugs.
