UMA ## Rifagut is a poorly absorbed antibiotic which is designed for the control of "small intestinal bacterial overgrowth" and it's many symptoms. 200mg a day is not a high dose and is quite safe however, what springs to mind immediately with this dose is the probability of bacterial resistance due to the initial low dose. Research is showing that a shorter cou...

I found this site to further understand a product I purchased yesterday at a truck-stop. Its a six pack of caffeine tablets with the imprint MW 200 on one side and in fourths on the other. The name of the tab is Xtreme PEPTIME Mini-white. I hope that answers your questions. ## Thanks for sharing your finding. It can sometimes be really difficult to locate a lot of these over the counter supplements online, so having other people post it like this is very helpful! After a bit of research, I can also verify that the imprint "MW 200" on a white round pill, is an 'Xtreme Peptime Mini-White High Energy Pill' containing 200mgs of caffeine. How long is this medicine good for. ## Hi rae, According to Roche Pharmaceuticals, the tablets as well as the oral suspensions of sulfamethoxazole + trimethoprim both have a shelf life of 5 years. However I'm assuming this is based on their recommended storage temperature being below 30 degrees celsius (86*F). On the contrary, a news article by the LA Times suggests from prior studies that many medications are actually good for up to 40 years beyond the listed expiration date. They also go on to state that expiration dates are often set solely based upon one's own discretion without a specific reason or evidence indicating that it truly has expired. And apparently the reason behind this is that the FDA doesn't require pharmaceutical companies to check how long their ingredie...

I have recently been dealing with a uti issue. I was prescribed doxycycline for a week and got better. By the end of the week I'm not going to go into details but I'm pretty sure I reinforced myself and started to get the feeling of the UTI symptoms again. So I found a supposed to be trusted pharmacy delivery service from Canada. They didn't have any research on them being a bad or unreliable source from the FDA or anything so figured it was ok. It even explains on there how to take your prescription, like times, etc. and what the side effects were and what not. So I filled a prescription for the 200 mg of doxycycline they said they had in stock. It came in today and it's labeled in a package from a company called Combitic Global Caplet Pvt. Ltd. Based out of India. I lo...

I am 60 yrs old and have been menopausal 2 yrs. A hysterosonography Aug. 7, 2013 revealed I have hyperplasia (thickened uterus wall). I had 2 days very light spotting in June and I am scheduled for a DNC in mid November. My Dr. prescribed Progesterone to take orally 1 per day. I asked her if I could use Prometrium - the botanical based "natural" alternative to synthetic hormones. She said yes. I just picked up my prescription and it was for Progesterone 200 mg. The pharmacist said Prometrium is just another name for Progesterone and is no longer manufactured? This is not what I have researched and is it true Prometrium is no longer manufactured? I am obese, have a slight thyroid condition for which I take Synthroid and I also take meds for hypertension. I am very reluctant to ta...

I'm taking susten vt 200 2 days after my ovulation for 14 days. will my periods get delayed or comes after i stopped taking it? will susten vt 200 affects the periods? ## Susten contains the hormone Progesterone, so yes, it can affect your menstrual cycle, but there is really no way to say how it may do so. It can be different for each individual person, due to your own levels of the hormone. It may be delayed, you may skip or it your bleeding may be heavier or lighter than usual. Are there any questions or comments? ## thanks for your reply, its true susten tablet delayed my periods (3 days). but my dr adviced to take from 18th day (ie 2 days after ovulated) till 14 days which affects my cycle. can you please explain for how many days it is advicable? Hello. My wife is 5 weeks pregnant and she was taking Susten 200 as her doctor prescribed. I live in Bangladesh and I cant find this medication locally. My doctor in India said to use a similar generic medicine. But I am not willing to use any medicine prescribed by local doctors due to a lack of trust. Can you suggest what can I use or the generic name of this drug so that i can find any good alternatives locally. Please help us. ## Hello, Nazmul! How are you and your wife? The generic for this would be Progesterone, she could also take another medication that contains it as the active ingredient, as long as the doctor approves. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and PMS-like symptom. How is she doing? Congratulations on the baby!

I was given the kids liquid form of amoxicillin but please answer for pill form as well. Is it safe to take 1-2 (200mg) of ibuprofen while using the liquid or pill firm amoxicillin?? My need for the antibiotic was for strep throat and now that I've finished it my wisdom teeth are coming through, so I'd prefer to take ibuprofen for the pain of these teeth coming through. I read somewhere that taking ibuprofen while on antibiotics could give ypu a high chance of convulsion seizures is that true ?? ## Hello, Linn! How are you? I've not found anything of the sort listed, though it is always best to double check to be sure, but I have checked multiple sources and found nothing showing any negative interactions. Have you asked your pharmacist to check for you? I've taken them ...

I have been on the name brand of Protonix since 2000 and it has worked great. My problem started when the generic became available and my insurance company would no longer cover the brand name. The generic medication didn't work at all. I thought it was me, that I became resistant to it. But after talking to the Pfizer nurse (their US Drug Safety Unit) I was told there are bad generic versions of Protonix on the market. I was able to get my insurance company to cover the brand name up until last September 2016. Now they refuse to cover it. There are approximately 17 different generic manufacturers I found on the internet. Has anybody had a generic version of protonix that worked as well as the name brand one? The manufacturer name should be somewhere on your medication bottle. If yo...

This is a generic form of Truvada. It contains Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (300MG) and Emtricitabine (200mg) and is manufactured by Mylan Laboratories in India. This pill is used as Prep - a once a day pill for those at risk of contracting HIV, or for those already diagnosed with HIV, to reduce the viral count of HIV in the system ## I would like to ask i found blue pills M117 I'm my girlfriend bag hidden what are they for? I also found brown oval pills GAL WHAT are they for Am I safe from HIV ## Hi Zakes, If you know or suspect that your partner has HIV based on these pills that were found, it seems to me like your best bet would be for the two of you to go in for testing or at least a closer evaluation. But before that, I would probably encourage you to sit down with your partne...

RECENTLY I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT KETOPROFEN 200 MG EXTENDED RELIEF IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. IS THIS TRUE? ## what are the side effect of ketoprofen 75 mg mfg. by mylan? ## I just got a new prescription for the 200mg tablets with no worries. I live in the USA. ## My husband has been on ketoprofen for at least 15 years and has tried other meds for his arthritis. None have worked as well as ketoprofen, he was told by Rite Aid and Walgreen's that it is no longer being made. ## Boo-boo, I don't know why those stores told you that cause my mother was prescribed a pump bottle earlier this year on 4/20/2016. 120 mg from a 24hr rite aid store. ## I was on 200 extended release Ketoprofen was told by Walgreens it is no longer being manufactured. I had a gastric bypass in 2001. I have anemia now and someone told me that in order for iron to be absorbed, there must be presence of acid in stomach. After bypass there is no gastric acid present. Is this true? Has anyone else had this problem? And if so, how is it treated ## If there were no gastric acid, then you would not be able to digest and absorb any food/nutrients. I suggest you speak to your doctor. ## You have plenty of acid. Enough that acid ate thru my staple line, ate 6 holes in my pouch and stomach, and I take 3 Rx of antacids. ## From what I've read, iron does need gastric acid to be absorbed. The way my surgeon explained it (14 years ago), the part of the stomach used to make the pouch is less elastic and produces less acid. And, my GI doctor said the bypassed part...

I am a vet injured I have been going to the same pain clinic since 2007 And they lowerd my pain meds so low they dont work anymore Anyone know of a compashinat pain doc nw ga area Dont trust va Need help ## Hello, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I may not have a doctor I can refer you to, but down below are a couple links that may be of service to you in your search for pain management doctors within your general area. Also, when seeing a new doctor just make sure to transfer or take a copy of all your medical records with you. Then, the best approach in my opinion, is to discuss up front and honestly what has or hasn't worked for you in the past. Let them know about the experience you had with your previous Doctor as well. Most doctors will take it under consideration a...

Has anyone tried the 2mg clonazepam by clozerid, 200 in a box? Are they effective or are they just another underdosed product? 200 in a box of 2mg pills for the price I see seems far far too good to be true. I can't see any history of them online anywhere either. ## You probably figured out the answer to your question by now but just in case, make sure to be careful with this brand. I tested some of the tablets received and some contained no clonazepam at all (sketch). There are certain generic brands that are being marketed that are either made with a cheaper benzodiazepine, a smaller dose than advertised, or a different substance entirely. I am never getting these again, just be careful.

Some people state the pro soma is weak compared to the old Dan soma? Is this true? I just refilled my prescription of 600 prosoma for leg and hip spams. I need a med that works, tried ocaridoxen 250/200. It has not had an effect on me ## Most foreign Soma is questionable. Always keep in mind that ordering these medicines are illegal ## Soma is not a C-IV Controlled Substance in, I THINK, ALL 50 STATES in the UNION. It's inferior to the parent drug, MEPROBAMATE (Equanil, Miltown and many others). I've taken it and it's in no way equal to EQUANIL, MILTOWN or VALIUM. The pharmacist asked if I wanted I him to call my brother and get the "real deal". It is illegal to import Controlled Substances (and both SOMA and EQUANIL are C-IV in, I think, the entire Untied States int...

My son had his tonsils removed on 6/2/2009. He has been on this medication for 10 days for severe ear pain/throat pain especially before eating/sleeping. Is this drug addictive? Should I be concerned that he is still taking? My husband is more concerned. I would like to trust physician's recommendation in that they would not prescribe for so long if it were a concern. I need a second opinion please. ## When I worked pain management in a very large hospital in Atlanta, I was taught that if you take the medicine for pain, there is almost no risk for addiction. If, however, he is taking it for a "feeling" then there is an issue. True pain needs to be treated. I hope this helps.

My Dr,after 9 years of pain management is cutting off each of his patients, were talking at least 2000.He says due to increasing scrutiny from the D.E.A and other people, within the political area.Is this true,I have tried everything to relive my pain, and oxycodone does the best,Now what?I have the actual letter that he has given all of his patients. What do I do?? ## I am very sorry about the predicament you are now finding yourself in, but yes, this has been happening all over the U.S. New regulations went into place at the beginning of the year requiring stricter monitoring of the prescribing of pain medications. Additionally, general practitioners and surgeons are being directed not to prescribe them, at all, for long-term use. They want them only to be prescribing them for a short per...

I had my foot impaled by a forklift blade in 2007. I almost lost my foot. Four surgeries including nerve and skin grafting from multiple graft sites. My dr to this day has me on a 5mg oxy dosage and will not budge. Yet I know someone who gets 225 oxychodone 30 mg every two weeks for a VERY trumped up injury. This is Bs. Sorry just venting. Cold as hell in Maine. ## No problem, venting is freely allowed, we get many posts of such a nature. There are many people who get such prescriptions for invalid reasons and it is very unfair to those that actually need them. If the 5mg Oxycodone doesn't help and your doctor won't prescribe a higher dosage or let you try anything else, then it may be time to see a different doctor. There is no harm in at least trying. Just make certain that wh...

There were new regulations put in place that restrict their prescribing practices and those who need such medica...
