I have severe back and hip pain, my right hip has dropped down almost a half inch causing my back bone to off center. I have tried multiple forms of treatment with no success. I have taken a variety of muscle relaxers, and none of them have worked. I am currently taking 20 mg of baclofen 3 times a day. Long story short I had mega dose chemo (pen inj. & capsules) daily for 365 days. Almost killed me but afterwards when I took the pain med Oxycontin for the very 1st time I did not feel it till I reached unreal 500mg level. Then it was a miracle. 39 year old male, I've been taking 20mg of OxyContin twice a day for almost a year do to chronic back pain. I am not addicted but rather dependent and I never take more than I'm prescribed. The result of this is my testosterone has tanked to levels that a woman has and I determined that I'm going to quit. My pain doctor said he could wean me down, but I shouldn't have any problems with the low dose I've been taking.
