Does tramadol 50mg contain codeine? The pharmacist that I spoke to while picking up the prescription assured me that it does not. I'm severely allergic to codeine and as I read the packet I got with the medication it says if you are severely allergic to codeine to not take this medication. Please help. ## Hello, Nicole! How are you? No, the pharmacist was correct. Tramadol is the active ingredient, it is a mild opioid analgesic. Thus, the FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. If you are allergic to one narcotic, there is always a risk that you may be allergic to others, but it isn't a very common occurrence. Tramadol itself, however, is not Codeine. ## is Tremadol hcl/apap an opiod angenstic? ## No, Tramadol with Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Ultracet is not an opiate narcotic, though it is derived from one and at one point it was classified as one. Learn more Ultracet details here. The classification was changed to place it under general centrally acting analgesics, when it was discovered that while it has the potential to he habit forming and can cause side effects similar to opiates, it doesn't alleviate pain as well as they do. This was actually the opposite of the desired effect, when this compound was being research and created they want to keep the potency of opiates for pain relief, but remove the negative side effects and addiction potential, so this one did a total flip. Are there any other questions? Is th... ...

I found a pill when moving house, its a round, white, almost chalky pill with T1 on one side and what looks to be a symbol very similar to the libra star sign on the other side (2 parallel lines, one with a semi-circle coming out of one of the lines). Can anyone tell me what it is? ## Hi Aaron, I have identified a small round yellow pill with the imprint T1 as Levonest; which contains the active ingredients ethinyl estradiol (0.03 mg) + levonorgestrel (0.05 mg). I've been taking Tramadol for 14 years and I messed up my dosage by a few days so I thought I was going to be out of Tramadol for this weekend, so I was given 2 suboxone 8mg strips and was told it would help. Well, I was wrong and I just miscounted my pills. I found them but I already took the 2 strips. I want to take my Tramadol but I am scared that I'm going to get sicker than I already am right now. I never should've taken that darn suboxone, but I've never taken it before today so I'm hoping it'll be out of my system faster! Anybody have any ideas or suggestions?? Thank you in advance!! :/ ## Hello, Sickone! How are you? Yes, I'm sorry, but whoever told you that the Suboxone would help was misinformed. I have been taking tramadol a long time. For it to work, now I take 7 at a time (my doctor doesn't know this of course) and I thing I've been having mild seizures from it. I also have Hep C and my liver enzimes were 500 (got lab test) and my Primary doctor actually called me at home last night to tell me to see my specialist and not to take Aspirin, Tylenal, Advil. Does Tramadol contain acetaminisin or aspirin? ## No, Tramadol is exactly that, it doesn't contain any other active ingredients. Learn more Tramadol details here.
