I took 2 10mg hydrocodone 325 acetaminophen for the pain of wisdom teeth coming in. I understand to drink as much water as possible but should I take it on a full stomach or eat with it?? I feel kind of light-headed but in no need of emergency. ## It can be taken either way, but since it may cause some nausea, and dizziness, according to NIH reports, some people do better taking it with food. Other side effects are listed as possibly including headache, drowsiness, constipation, and dry mouth. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?

I took a 5/325mg hydrocodone for a toothache. It's been half an hour and no pain relief yet.. I haven't slept for 3 days, HELP. ## Hello, Rebecca! How are you doing? Have you consulted your dentist, yet? Not every medication works for everyone that tries it and if you have a dental infection, then the pain from that can be very severe. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Additionally, if it is due to an infection, you're going to also need an antibiotic to help clear it up. ## I took one hydrocodone 3604 for a toothache and the pain went away for about an hour and a half. Then the pain came back and it seems it was a little bit worse than befor...

Is there any drug that relieves toothache pain? ## There are many possibilities, however, since this site is not medical professionals, we cannot possibly prescribe anything or suggest a treatment. Have you seen a dentist or do you have any appointment with one? Some people do get some relief with over the counter items such as Acetaminophen, Naproxen or Ibuprofen, however, being nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, you have to be cautious in your use of them, especially if you take prescription medications or have other health issues. ## I just want to know if meloxicam helps with toothache pain? I have a real bad toothache that feels like the pain went to my nerves. So can this medicine help with the pain? ## Due to massive tooth pain I took 2 tablets of Joflam 50mg (Diclofenac potassium...

I have a very bad tooth ach and i have taken 2 500mlg lortabs and the pain hasnt even begin to barely go away would it hurt to take another one or take a vicodine please help cant handle the pain anymore ## Have you contacted your doctor, or a dentist? If the toothache is due to an infection, then it may be difficult to get pain relief, you are likely going to need an antibiotic. Both Lortab and Vicodin contain Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, so continuing to take more isn't advisable, as it could result in overdose.

I took 2 x 750 mg. Trying to help with the pain until I can get to the dentist. Will this help? ## It’s a muscle relaxant. While it won’t help with the pain, per se, it’ll probably help you feel better, by helping you stop tensing up with the pain. Take ibuprofen with it. You need an anti-inflammatory pain med. ## What Beth stated is correct. Methocarbamol is a muscle relaxant, most commonly used to treat pain and spasms associated with muscle injuries. It works by slowing activity in the nervous system to allow the body to relax. [1] The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Acetaminophen, or Ibuprofen may help, if it is safe for you to take them. Do you have an emergency dentist in your area?

issues surfaced with a tooth that was absessed, required a root canal. This was nearly three years ago. Severe pain occured 24 hours ago, saw dentist, may need tooth extracted. Was given 7.5/325 hydrocodone acetaminoph. I have taken two tablets. Pain persists. May I take ibuprofen with diphenhydramine in combinations with hydrocodone? ## Hi monica, Sorry to hear about your tooth abscess! Though, if something as strong as hydrocodone isn't helping with your pain, I'd have to wonder if the doctor made the right call on giving you pain meds instead of antibiotics for an infected tooth, since that's not necessarily something hydrocodone or any pain medication is supposed to help with. In my opinion, antibiotics would probably help with the pain more so than anything else, becaus...

I have a wisdom tooth infection, and I am scheduled to have it pulled out in two days, since my dentist say that the infection has to be healed first. But the pain is excruciating! What can I use, to ease the pain, for the time being. ## this site is not medical professionals to suggest a treatment and since you did not say what antibiotic you are taking I cannot check for interactions. Most people generally just use Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen, if it is said to be okay by your doctor or pharmacist. Have you tried calling your dentist to ask what you can use? ## When I had my wisdom teeth removed I was prescribed Vicodin. Worked really well for me. If you talk to your dentist I'm sure they will prescribe you a proper medication. Good luck and let me know how it goes!

Can I use this drug for tooth pain? ## ask ur doctor ## Have you discussed it with your dentist? While Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Vicodin, is an effective narcotic pain reliever that is often given for toothaches, it is not going to help with whatever the problem is that is causing the toothache. It is just a temporary solution. Side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more: ## The dosage you have is one of the higher doses available, so I wouldn't doubt that it would help with the pain (as it is used to treat moderate to severe pain); but whether or not it is the best option for your situation is not something anyone online can answer. Hi my dentist gave me hydroco/acetamin for a bad tooth. Problem is it keeps me a wake,I'm so tired but can't sleep, I dozed a couple times but had bad nightmares. I have some codeine from a arm injury would it be ok to switch to it and stop the hydroco.? ## Hello, Missy2ell! How are you? You should check with your dentist, before switching. The Codeine is a very mild narcotic, so it may not be enough to help your pain. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, there are other alternatives that they can prescribe. Is there anything else I can help with?

Dental related pain always seems to be some of the most concerning, since it's in such a sensitive area. Have you talked to your dentist about prescribing any sort of pain reliever (such as Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen) to help alleviate most of the pain in the mean time, so you can at least enjoy your food? It just may be that you have to have more of a liquid diet until the procedure is said and done. As far as the infection goes, I personally suggest looking into a natural r...

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I didn't find any interactions or problems listed between it and Ibuprofen, so that should be fine, as long as your doctor or dentist approves. Is there anything else I can help with?
