Prescribed 150mg clindamycin 4x/day for throat infection. Have taken 4 doses. See sores on the side and back of my throat. Am very concerned. Do I stop taking it. ## To be honest, it is most likely that any sores you see have been caused by the infection, rather than the antibiotic that is intended to clear it up. You really need a medical professional to make sure that it's strep and then to prescribe the proper antibiotic, if it is, because if it isn't actually an infection, or the proper amount of an antibiotic isn't used you run the risk of them developing antibiotic resistance bacteria.

I started using cymgen60 two months ago, to treat deppresion and anxiety. It was ok until I started to have these flu like symptoms i.e blocked nose, dry throat and mouth. My GP gave me nasal decogastant but it is not working. It helps for ten minutes, then I'm back to square one. Hi Doctor I was diagnosed with acid reflux & placed on 6 months treatment of Altosec 10ml, over the past two months my throat & mount had been drying up causing me to drink lot of water & this gets better when I eat something, the dry throat & month is really uncomfortable at times if I don't pay attention to it I get dizzy & weak, lastly I've been getting a slight pain on the sides of my stomach - feels like my kidneys are uncomfortable. Every single day I wake up and spend about 5 minutes hacking up thick, yellow mucus. It is so thick it keeps me from swallowing and even blowing my nose. I have been to 3 Odontologists and no one has been able to help me. I have tried a number of nasal spays and prescription medications with no success. In contrast my nose runs excessively to the extent that I blow my nose on paper towels instead of tissues. Mucinex doesn't help either. I am desperate for some relief. I have had a slight throat ache and nasal congestion with a fever of about 99.3. My doctor gave me ceftum 500 for 5 days. After 5 days fever still is coming up to 99.3 and becomes normal if I take a crocin. My wbc count is 11600 with nuetrophiles at 63%. is this some kind of viral infection as the antibiotic does not seem to help

I take Amlodipine 5mg - it is sort of oval shaped and I find it difficult to swallow. I take it with nearly half a glass of water. However 2 days ago the pill got stuck at the back of my mouth and actually dissolved. I immediately felt a severe burning pain which was agony (I have a high pain threshold but this was unbearable). After some minutes the burning passed but for a time I couldn't eat or talk. My voice is still affected and at times drops to a whisper. I tried posting this as a reply in another thread, but occurs to me that I should post iot in it's own thread, rather than hijacking someone else's. I'm new here, so I apologize if I've done anything wrong! My problem / question: I take several medications before bedtime every night. My mistake, having read about it elsewhere, is probably taking a couple or three different pills at a time. Three nights ago, one of the smaller pills got stuck in my throat and caused some painful burning. I washed it down with water, but the damage was done. Now I can only whisper and sometimes it hurts to swallow. Can anyone tell me which of the following medications might have been the one to burn my throat? I got a bad cough and raw throat (from constant coughing and hacking) from taking liprosil. Has anyone had a simular experience, and if so, have your symptoms cleared up since you stopped taking this...its been about 2 week since I stopped and I'm still experiencing some sporadic coughing. Hi, I will be frequently getting throat infection. When i consult the doctor i came to know it happens due to dust and less consumption of Water. So please suggest me any tablet for emergency. ## Actually, if that's what's causing your problem, then the best solution would be to avoid dusty areas and drink more water. Prevention is much better and safer than taking repeated courses of medications. Medications cause the risk of serious side effects and complications, but there are none associated with drinking a little more water and staying away from dust. The only reason you can't do this would be if you're on a fluid restricted diet. Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm on my last nitrofurantoin, but I woke up last night with a sore throat and still have it now. I have been feeling very weird alday, I suffer with anxiety and this is setting me off now its night time. Do I just take the last one in the morning ? Or stop.

I was prescribed this medication for a breakout of hives I was experiencing. My doctor prescribed what is commonly known as the Z pack consisting of 6 tablets the first day, 5 tablets the next, and so on with one tablet less each day for six days. Well since I was instructed to take the first day's dose all at once, I assumed the same instructions were to apply to future doses. The next day I took all 5 tablets at once, when I should have taken only 1 before breakfast, 1 after lunch, 1 after supper and 2 at bedtime and so on for the other doses.
