I take cymbalta for knee pain (after 4 knee surgeries). The cymbalta works ok for the pain, but my husband googled it and assumes I am hiding a mental health disorder. Has anyone had a similar issue? Not sure how to explain that I am taking a depression med for pain purposes. ## Hello, Jo! How are you? You could have him talk to your doctor by going to an appointment with you. Your doctor can talk to him and explain it, if you give them permission to do so. The FDA lists the typical side effects for this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain. However, it is a shame that he's making such a big deal out of mental health issues. They are nothing to be ashamed of and there shouldn't be any stigma associated with them. Is there anythi...

My friend thinks her pills are vicodine, I have looked them up and found they r naproxin. is there any way a white oblong pill with ip190 on one side and 500 on the other b anything other than naproxin ## Hi Ashley, The imprint you mentioned "IP 190 500" is identified as Naproxen 500mg, and ONLY that. It is manufactured by Akyma Pharmaceuticals. I was able to verify this on a number of websites as well, so you can be rest assured it is just that. Some people actually misinterpret the look of the pill and think that it is Hydrocodone (Vicodin), since the look of the oblong white pill is "similar" but this is not the case here. For more information about this drug please refer to the link below... If you have any more questions or concerns, please post back and I will be h...

So, after taking Viibyrd. My dr thinks I have Serotonin syndrome. Caused from taking this med. I went from being a very healthy, active 42 yr old to a 70ish yr old acting old woman. Did the med help ,my depression, yes in the beginning. I thought I had found the miracle drug. It even helped with my pms! But, then I began to to have restless legs. My joints ached. I was dizzy, my vision was blurred. I had severe confusion, not being able to complete my sentences or hold conversations. I gained a bunch of weight. I had night terrors... Blood hurling scream nightmares. I would wake seeing images standing over my bed. I would have these bad dreams and wake up, when I would go back to sleep It would start right up where it left off. Got someone with these and she thinks they have been remaking them. Is there a way to check them to see if they are the original formulation? ## Hello, Sarah! How are you? Where did she get them? If they are from a legitimate U.S. pharmacy, then she shouldn't have anything to worry about. The tablets with the M 523 marking are manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and they list them as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, if they are from some other source, the only thing she could so would be to pay to have them lab tested somewhere. Is there any...

I want to know why the government thinks they can determine what medication the doctor cN give to someone. I need a doctor that can treat my husband and myself. My husband & I are in so much pain from different things over the past 35yrs. Very bad car wrecks, standing on my feet (via my jobs) for 20 or more years. We both have severe degenerative disc disease, my husbands cervical neçk is completely fused together from a very bad car wreck, he's had back surgery, arthritis in his shoulders & knees. We've both had MRI's and the doctor's have told us that we need to be on pain medication. Shots do not help, they're painful & neither one of us want them. Why can't we just stay on the meds we were getting? They helped with our pain, we didn't abuse

Need relief from my back pain and my dr thinks I'm a junkie and won't give me any Vicodin even though I have told him ib800 r not working and it is limiting my ability at work. Do u know of a dr in story county, iowa that will give me Vicodin. ## I'm sorry, but if you're asking for a specific medication, most doctors are going to act like that. They are taught to view it as drug seeking behavior. Additionally, since the doctor is the one with the medical degree, they usually expect to be the one suggesting what medication you should try. Any doctor can prescribe Vicodin, but due to the new regulations and government reporting requirements they have to be very careful about doing so. What has your doctor suggested to treat your pain other than the Ibuprofen?

I heard about a man who said that he thinks Lipitor made his wife get memory loss. Is this true as I think I have the same thing ## Me too, my memory loss just keeps getting worse ## That is not a normal side effect of this medication, as reported by the FDA, but there is no way to be sure how any given medication will actually affect anyone that takes it, since we are all different. Its typical ones are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and joint/muscle aches. Has there been any change? Have you each consulted the prescribing doctors to see if there is another option you can try?

Is there an alternative to Myprodol with the same anti-inflammatory proerties and pain relief, that will not be harmful in terms of stomach acid production? ## what is the alternative drug of myprodol ? ## Myprodol is listed as containing a combination of Acetaminophen, Ibuprofen, and Codeine, it is used to alleviate moderate to severe pain. I also take ambien to sleep and percocet plus tramadol for chronic pain disorder. Is there any interactions I should be aware of with taking these medications together.....within the same 24 hr period obviously lol ## The Ambien combined with the Percocet and Tramadol could result in your experiencing more severe side effects, according to FDA warnings, which may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, sedation, shallow breathing, respiratory depression. How are you doing while taking them? And did you mean that you are also taking Remeron?

My doctor put me on low dose hormones because he thinks i may be in peri menapause. . He told me to take both white pills at the end but that i dont need to take the brown ones. Im wondering if i should go on to the next pack whether i start my period or not. I believe they told me keep taking them ## Hello, Jojo! How are you? Unless your doctor specifics otherwise, what that means is that you just don't have to take any pills those days, since there are no active ingredients in them. You just wouldn't take any those days, then start a new pack after those days pass. And yes, you continue onto the new pack, whether you get your period, or not.
