I had severe burning sensation on top of the head since mid November 2015. On 21/11/2015, my physician asked me to take Telsartan 40mg every morning as my BP was 178//100. Even after taking the tablets for one month, the burning in the head continued and on 23/12/2015, I visited a neuro physician who advised a CT scan of the head. The scan was normal but my BP was 180/114 and hence I was asked to meet the physician to bring down the BP immediately. The physician has prescribed Telma 40mg and Amlong, both to be taken twice a day. I am taking both these tablets twice a day since 23/12/2015. I checked the BP onn 4/1/2016 and 10/1/2016 and both times it was 120/80. However: 1. The burning on top of the head has not completely gone and i often feel this burning in the entire head sometimes. ...

I was taking repalol earlier which is quite helpful to control my BP but after i had my spinal surgery i asked to change my medicine from repalol to telma AM 80 which after few days caused difficulties for me in form of swelling and high risk of kidney damage which forces me to change again the medicine from telma AM 80 to Embeta XR 50 . but i am seeing that it's too not useful in controlling my high BP. Please suggest whether i switched back to my older medication repalol.

Telma H. 80 mg per day (Telmasartin + 12.5 hydrochlorothiazide) My mother , 73 yrs old uses Telma H. 80mg per day. Can she replace it with Metoprolol Succinate 50 mg per day.... Any major side effects....please advice....urgent reply requested ## Hello, John! How are you? She shouldn't make a change, without her physician's approval, since there is no diuretic in the new medication, which may be something she needs. Side effects to the Metoprolol may include nausea, dizziness, hypotension and hair loss. Has her doctor suggested this change?

I was taking Natrilex Sr 1.5 earlier. Now with the BP being higher than 80 (between 90 and 95) for many evenings, I consulted a doctor who advised me to take Telma 40 with Natrilex. However, I have experienced certain dizziness after taking this medicine. Should I continue or take only Natrilex? I have no diabetes or lipid problems. ## The dizziness could be caused by either of the medications or by the combination of taking them both. this site is not medical professionals to advise you on your treatment regimen. Have you spoken to your doctor about these bouts of dizziness to see what they advise? The dizziness could also be cause by the blood pressure fluctuating itself. ## I changed from Telma H to Telma 40mg plain on the advice of my doctor as my diastolic BP was dropping unusually...

My brother(age 40) is diabetic and has high BP. He was taking Telma 80,which makes the BP 100/65. Then doctor change the medicine to Telma 40. Now his BP is 140/90 and doctor prescribed him Telma H 40,which causes dizziness and low BP. What should he do? ## The Telma-H contains Telmisartan and Hydrochlorothiazide, this latter medication is a diuretic that removes excess fluid from the body. It is likely that he is experiencing some dehydration from it and that is what is causing the low blood pressure and dizziness. He may need to slightly increase his fluid intake to compensate for this and keep his blood pressure from dropping too low. Learn more Telmisartan details here. Learn more Hydrochlorothiazide details here. He does need to consult his doctor first though, because there are so...

I am 58 years of age. Just 10 days back I started Thelma H 40 mg for BP 160/90 as advised by my doctor. After using it for 8 days I got dizziness, frequent urination and a light strain on my right side. So I consulted my doctor and am now taking Telsartan 40. My BP is now 120/80. How long should I use 40 mgs for? Can I reduce to 20 mgs? Please advise. Also which is better, Thelma H 20 mg or Telsartan 20 mg? ## You should take the medication and dosage that your doctor has told you take, unless they direct you to make changes. As reported by the NIH, dizziness and frequent urination can both be normal side effects, you may also experience nausea, headache, and hypotension. There really is no better medication, it depends on what works for you and what is safest for you to take. Is there ...

My mom diabetic for 20+ yrs. Her recent TMT test showed positive. She has no chest pain or any other symptoms. All other tests are OK inclu cholesterol and ECG.. Her BP is 130-140/70-80 range She is advised Clopitab A 150 + Rozavel 10 + Betaloc 50 + Telma AM for BP , Heart and Cholesterol. Do you think all the medicines are required Also had read that Betaloc is know to precipitate diabetics. I have been prescribed this drug for control of my fluctuating Blood Pressure. Normaly my BP ranges between 80/140 to 90/150. Recently it shot unto 110/170. I am 61 yrs. and have been taking BP control medicine Tenormin 50 - one in the morning and Telma 20 - one in the night. Last week I got my Eco Cardiograme and CT Angeography done. The reports are clear and Normal. Do I need to change the medicine and what is the side effect of Tazloc CT 80 mg. ## If your blood pressure is still going that high, then apparently your current medications aren't controlling it and that's most likely why your doctor has prescribed something new. Have you discussed it with your doctor? It's usually advisable to follow their advice, since they have your best interest and safety in mind. Uncontr...

I had pacemaker implant surgery 7 months ago. I am taking blood thinners. Acitrom 2 and 3 mg on alternate nights, plus clopitral tabs daily. I'm also taking metapure 50 mg twice a day, plus Telma H 80, plus Nue gaba. During the last few days I have developed a blue patch on my tummy (no pain) and also another light path on my hand below the wrist. My PT INR was above 2, 2 weeks ago. What might have caused these patches? Need guidance/advice. ## Most of the medications that you're taking can cause bruising as a side effect, not all bruises hurt and you may not even realize that you've done anything to cause the bruising, according to the NIH. It is always best, however, to have your doctor check such issues to be sure, though. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am having High Bp 140/90 and some times 140/100, for the last 10 years. first 8 years I was put on Atenol 25mg. Two years back my cardiologist changed my medicine to Telma-H(40mg). This year when I went through regular check up my BP was 140/100 and sugar levels were 125 FBS and 170 PBS. The LDL was 140mg. Immediately he advised to take telma-H 80mg in empty stomach in the morning. I followed for three days it made lot of acidity and gas problems. I stopped 80 mg and revert back to 40 mg. My BP rose to 160/110. I went to some other cardiologist who suggested to take trazloc trio 40mg.(combination of telmaH and amlopress). For two days the BP didnt come down. I approached homeopathy doctor He suggested some medicine and my BP came down immediately, Subsequently I followed strict diet c...

I have been detected hypertensive seven years ago. Initially I took telmakind and later repace h 50 Mg with Amlokind. But after two three years when i went to see a Doc, he did ECG and suggested that I should continue to take Repace H and Ecospirin AV. I have been taking it since. And remarkably both keep my bp exactly at 120-25/80-85. But I want to know if I can continue like this. I havent experienced any side effects. So should i continue the same medicines or go for change

I have been recommended the use of Amtas-M 5/25 to control fluctuations in hypertension ranging from 130/80 to 150/100 (2 years ago). I have been taking one tablet in the morning daily. The blood pressure has since come under control ranging from 110/70 to 120/80. However, I notice swelling of my ankles/feet during the day from the afternoon through the evening hours. My doctor has now recommended a change to Telma-H 80. Which of these two is better and which has long term side effects? I am 61 years old and male. ## You should follow your doctor's instructions and take the medication they have recommended. The NIH lists the typical sid effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.
