I've taken Fiorinal Butalb/Asa/Caf (Westward pill) for 15 years, it's been very effective for my migraines. Since they've taken the tablet off the market and I can't get the old one anymore, i just filled the RX for the capsule. I haven't taken it yet, I'm nervous about it. Also annoyed as I used to split the tablet in half as I didn't always want to take an entire pill. Has anyone split the capsule? What are overall thoughts/experiences with the green capsules Butalbatol/Aspirin/Caffeine? ## Hello, Sue! How are you? No, it is not safe to split the capsule. As to how well it works, it really varies from person to person. Some have said they work great, but others haven't had good luck with them. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as...

Where can I get L-Lysine Capsules or Tablets at Chennai, India ## I want to purchase L-Lysine capsule or tablet at Chennai for personal use. If this is not manufactured at all in India, what other capsule or tablet is manufactured in India with equivalent ingredients? ## I'm sorry, but since we are based in the U.S., I am not sure where you could obtain it in India. Why the difference in price ? Which is better tablet or capsule?Do they both perform equally? ## Hi John, If you ask me, I think the difference in price is directly related to the cost it takes to produce tablets vs capsules. Please don't quote me on this, but from what I've read, tablets are reportedly much more cost effective to produce since they allow the manufacturer to pack the most material into however much space they need; whereas with capsules their space is limited. Also depending on the type of substance, drug companies may use expensive encapsulation techniques to keep the contents fresh and stable. Have you tried one or the other yet to see how you react?

Pharmacy has changed my RX from a capsule to tablet (with approval from Dr.) Dosage is the same 240 and both are XR. Pharmacy says they can't get capsules any more, only tablets. Since the change-over (about 2 -3 months ago) my blood pressure has been inching back up and now soldily back in the "high blood pressure" readings. Doctor has temporarily increased my dosage of lisinopril (I take both) but wants my primary care to do a complete work up. Has anyone else had problems with tablet form not working? (Capsule worked for at least 2 years or more the change is only since switch to tablet.) My symptoms with uncontrolled high blood pressure include severe headaches and double vision. It is my top number (systolic?) that is increasing from 80s range to avg 150 and up. (I am f...

Is there a difference between the white tablets- WESTWARD 785 and the green capsules that say Lannett 1552 on them? Butalbital/aspirin/caffeine- 40/325/50 - I take 2 tablets and my headache goes away, the green capsules two of them and I throw up, so I'm scared to take them. Butalbital is discontinued anyhow, so now I have nothing to take for a headache. Any alternative that hasn't been discontinued out there as effective as Westward 785 white tablets are? Thanks. ## Hello, Debbie! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you've been having. There are two possible reasons that the capsules might have made you ill, though the tablets did not. The first is due to how fast the medication hits your stomach, when you take the tablets, you have to digest them with stomac...

I want to know that what excipients are used in alaxan fr ## Hi Thinzar, From what I could gather Alaxan FR contains Ibuprofen (200mg) + Paracetamol (325mg); a combination indicated for use in treating mild to moderate levels of pain. Unfortunately I can't seem to locate any specific details pertaining to the inactive ingredients found in these tablets. However, I believe that type of information is usually listed on the packaging itself. If I had to guess I wouldn't think this product is manufactured in the U.S., due to the lack of available information on it. If this is something you can pick up at your local pharmacy, you might want to double check with them as well. Does anyone else have more info on these tablets?

I was prescribed oxycodone 5 mg capsules (immediate release). The pharmacy only had the tablets. My question is, are they the same strength? ## Yes, it will just take a little bit longer for the medication to enter your blood stream and start working. Usually, about 15 to 20 minutes. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. I have ankylosing spondylitis and have been taking Beline capsules for nine months with remarkable results. I am largely pain free with an all round feel good benefit. Even a very long standing skin rash has disappeared. When I stop taking them the pain returns quite noticeably. Nonetheless I have strong reservations about herbal medications and intend to consult with my Rheumatologist shortly. Pity!!! ## My wife started Beline Capsules recently for her arthritis with remarkable almost instantaneous relief. I ordered them from the UK and it took forever for them to get to Colorado. Where do you get yours? I share your concern about possible interactions with other drugs and possible negative consequences. ## It's good to hear that they are successfully helping some people. Is there a difference between the drug Diltiazem 120mg taking tablets or capsules? ## Wow! Here was a really personal question, and I can't wait to see answers. I started taking 30 mg tablets three times a day for a total of 90 mg. When 120 mg capsules became available, I was switched to one a day. That dosage controlled my tachycardia well for some time, but then I was diagnosed with a defective aortic heart valve, and I rejected replacement, preferring to risk failure rather than accept the negative aspects of replacement. After continued control of tachycardia for a year or more, the episodes increased, and since I maintained refusal of valve replacement, my cardiologist, with some trepidation, increased the diltiazem to two times a day for a total of 240 mg a day. The episodes a...

I am suffering from osteoarthritis of knee I am prescribed celadrin capsules and kondro acute tablets. please let me know how it works in the body and its side effects and precautions if any. ## Celadrin is actually an over the counter supplement that claims to help with joint lubrication. The only ingredients they actually list are Esterified Oils, but they don't specifically say what they are. This also means that the side effect profiles have not been studied, nor have any precautions, since it is not a prescription medication. Kondro Acute contains Glucosamine and Diacerein. The Glucoasmine is another supplement of a substance naturally found in the body. The Diacerein is used as an anti-inflammatory to help treat pain and swelling. Its side effects can include: nausea, drowsine...
