i am transplanted patient 31 yrs. of late my kidney has developed functional problem thus my creatinine level has gone up to 7.8 and my doctor has advised to take Nefrosave tab twice a day. I am 47 years male and I have creatinin range 1.5 to 2.0 but blood urea is normal. I have had high B.p since the last 10 years, high blood sugar for the last 6 years. I take medicine called jalra m, volibo 0.3, Trigilimsave forte for my B.P and I take losar H. I am a diabetic person for last 15 years.Recently I have noticed swelling around my both ankles. When contacted my physician, he checked LFT/RFT, urine routine, ACR & 24 hrs. urine protiene estimate. Where he found that the protiene presence is 200 in 24 hours urine collected. Otherwise all the other tastes are well within normal range. My age is 62 yrs. My mother is 56 years old very weak suffering from fully damaged left lung & 10% of right lung affected due to TB 40 years back. Now there is no TB but she is coughing and having breathing problem, both severely since more than a month. Dr. has prescribed her NefroSave from Fourrts (Taurine 500 & Acetylcysteine 150) 2 tablets morning 2 tablets night along with other tabs & inhalers. Will it be safe for her having 2-2 tablets daily for 1 month? Does it also increases cough in some patients? Please guide me soon I am in a great stress concerning my mom's weakness & her sufferings & rib pinching continuous cough

My serum creatinine level has been 2.0mg for four years and I've been suffering from diabetes for 12 years and high blood pressure for 8 years. To control my creatinine I have been taking a tablet called Al-donil OD 150mg (one tablet per day). My sugar level is normal as well after taking the tablet and my blood pressure is normal (130/90) after taking the tablet. Please advise whether I can use Nefrosave in place of the Al-donil OD 150mg? I want to know as my doctor prescribed nefrosave for high microalbumin in urine ? ## I have ++ trace albumin my urine shall it would be useful of taking nafrosave tab to get rid of microalbumin outflow in my urine ## Nefrosave is just a nutritional supplement that contains N-Acetylcysteine and Taurine, so it's not actually proven to help with anything. Studies have been done to check this combination for treating microalbumin, but no significant difference was found between those taking it and those that just took placebos.
