Swelling Face

While traveling on a small aircraft I developed a sudden swelling on my face. It was diagnosed as Bell's Palsy. Any information on this ailment? ## Bell's Palsy is a form of facial paralysis, not swelling. What doctor provided you with this diagnosis? Have you had a stroke, Lymes disease or other severe illness recently? A sudden swelling, such as you've described, would be more indicative of an allergy.

I just started taking 75mg of irbesartan..I am fine when I wake up but when I have a black cup of coffee within 30 minutes my lips start swelling...is this common and should I switch medications ## Hello, Graham! It seems that you may be having an allergic reaction to something, and if that is the case, you need to cease exposure to that substance, because as reported by the NIH, such reactions tend to get worse with repeated exposure. It might be due to the medication, or it could be due to something else, has anything else changed recently? Are you drinking a different brand of coffee? It would be best to have this checked out by your doctor for your safety.

Hey has anyone had under eye and cheek swelling? I have had derma fillers placed in my tear troughs and cheeks over a year ago and my earlobes repaired and filled with derma filler 2 years ago. My GI Dr insists it’s the derma filler. I went back to the dermo who injected the fillers over a year ago and he said it’s not from the fillers, there is nothing left but injected the dissolving enzyme just to be sure. I have had 8 full under eye and cheeks flares in the last 3 months. It always comes on 3 days after my Humira dose and remains for 2 or 3 days before going away completely. Hello... I es suffering from Tb so my doctor hs advided me to take steroid (Decadron)24 mg per day bt slowly n steadily he reduces it n after 3 & half months i stoped taking it.. bt due to tje side effect of that drug i developed swelling on my face. I stopped taking my Neurontin after having what I think is an allergic reaction to the med. I was started on 100mg once a day for a week, then went to 200mg once a day for 1 week. A few days after starting the 200mg my eyes started itching, I didn't really think too much about it. Then about 3 days after I was increased to 300mg my eyes started swelling with blurred vision and runny eyes. I also couldn't understand why my throat felt as though it was shutting off and I started getting flu like symptoms and my face was swollen as well. My dr started me on eye drops with antibiotics in them, but my stayed swollen. My mother has had radiotherapy, and now there is swelling in her face near the cheeks . Her doctor has prescribed Emanzen D. Will this treat the swelling? ## Emanzen-D contains Diclofenac and Serratiopeptidase, they are both types of anti-inflammatories. My feet and legs/stomach are very swollen. The only thing new is the pantoprazole. Recently my gall bladeder was removed due to stones and the doctor send one piece for biopse test. In this test i am suffering sarciodiasis problem. Hi, i was put on Ciplavasv on the 20th December.. i wasn't told why.. 1 per day. I'm a 32 year old female. I have taken omnacortil 10 mg 4 times and began to experience swelling on my face and body. When will this puffiness go away? ## That can be a normal side effect of taking a steroid class medication, along with nausea, dizziness, insomnia, and acne. My 32 year old Daughter is currently on Eloquis 5 mg twice a day and lately she has been expressing her concerns about the Eloquis. She has been experiencing considerable numbness in her legs and stomach and mildly in her face. I had a very unique type of injury happened to mewhen I was in a salon chair and I used the foot stare up as usual to get up as I felt the force and momentum of the chair falling with me towards me on me. I had no choice but to save my face and throw my right forearm and hand up onto the ledge of the station. I've been using Humira since 27 Aug 2015. Changed my life completely .... Felt so much better, but now my face / glands / whole body seems to swollen all the time (especially my face and neck area) .... I started smoking 2 months ago ....
