I have been on Multaq 2x daily for just over 2 years and was wondering if anyone has had an adverse effect to sun tanning naturally or in the booths? I have not tried the booths while on this med and was contemplating using one before we left on a vacation- anyone have issues? If so, what where the side effects? Thanks ## Many medications can make you much more sensitive than usual to the effects of the sun and heat, that also includes tanning beds. You may burn much easier than usual and you may develop heat stroke or become dehydrated much faster than usual. Learn more Multaq details here. The final decision on doing so is up to you, but if you are going to, then you need to be very careful. Is there anything else I can help with?

I just got prescribed low-ogestrel a couple days ago in the mdidle of my period. The directions explain that you can start on the sunday after your period starts, but if you got your period on a sunday, you should start it that same day. I got my period on sunday, does that mean I have to wait another month to take my first pill, or can I take it this sunday (tomorrow)?? ## If you started your period on a Sunday, you should have taken it that same day to start the pack. However, that is just to provide you with immediate protection against pregnancy. You can start them, at any time, you will just need to use some other form of protection for the first 7 days, to allow them to become effective in your body. So no, there is no need to wait another month. You don't have to be experienc...

I'm having a problem of turning bright red when I am out in the sun for just a short while.(NOT sunburn) Does Opana cause a reaction to the sun? ## It has been known to cause the redness, as a side effect according to the FDA reports, and being out in the sun likely exacerbates it, which can happen with many medications. This medication also carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have quit treating my face and neck with Efudex and I am still peeling and having breakouts and the usual recovery. I am still treating my arms and hands. My work commute is 45 mins to 1.5 hours each way depending on the traffic with the average time in my car 2 hrs per day. When can I start getting that much sun exposure and it be safe? Always wear sunscreen too. ## Hello Daisy, According to the [1] NIH Efudex page warnings section it says that exposure to ultraviolet rays should be minimized during and immediately following treatment with Efudex because the intensity of the reaction may be increased. To me this sounds like you should avoid exposing the treated areas to the sun until it has completely finished recovering. The NIH goes on to explain that the redness and peeling typica...
