My daughter was diagnosed with stomach flue. The doctor gave her ondansetron or zofran 4 mg and Bella phenobarb after 48 hours she was diagnosed with acute viral myocarditis and died. I was shocked can any know if this was related to these medicines? ## I am very sorry for your loss. What do the doctors say was the cause of death? The greatest likelihood is that it was caused by the myocarditis itself, it can cause sudden death in approximately 20% off younger people that are afflicted with it. ## My daughter died by the same sympotms. She had myocarditis and was given Zofran and died less than 6 hours. The doctors knew that she was going to die after receiving the drugs and were powerless to prevent her death from occuring. ## The Dr. at the coroner office that performed the autopsy to...

Does it owe the avoidance of the drug (for sleep) or lack of oxygen, or stenosis. Kindly help me save. Doctors consulted donot understand. Surfing web, although the symptom not quite identical found, but it revealed some information which attributes the cause to brain and heart stroke. As I am 63 years old without D.M. or BP, but diastolic dysfunksn. My spouse has been on multaq for A-Fib for about 16 months. He was previosly on flecainide for many years. About 3 months after Starting multaq, he went into V-Fib,suffered Sudden Cardiac Death. He was brought back witin 3 minutes, spent several days in the artic blanket and and much more time recovering. His doctor insists that there is no evidence to suuggest that multaq has anything to do with this. Does anyone have any info on this? He now is living with a-fib, an implanted defibulater in case he suffers SCD again. Plus he has bad dreams, bloating, constant pressure which burping relieves temporarily, very tired all the time, itching back and arms. ## Back in July, the FDA issued a warning about Multaq, which contains the active ingredient Dronedarone, because they found it can more ...

In June of this year, I had an acute event in which my intestines started dying and I came very close to death myself. My son, who is an er dr collaborated with my Drs and suggested they give me Heparin which eventually reversed the condition, saving my life. This week, I have had to see eye specialists regarding the sudden loss of vision in my left eye. After many tests they believe that I had a stroke of the optic nerve. I am a 62 year old female who is on 75 mg. of Plavix a day due to having stents placed in an artery in the back of my heart a year and a half ago. Initially, after having the stents put in I was on Effient but the cost was prohibitive so after about 6 months a new Dr prescribed Plavix. Could these two health emergencies be related to the Plavix? ## Dear Shelley, Sorry...

A year ago I had a catheter ablation . Been on Flecanide for 20 years after the op they cut my dosage to 50 mg twice a day . I recently had a weekly heart monitor fitted and the result being a 7 second occurrence which has made the doctor tell me to stop the flecanide right away as it could cause sudden cardiac death and to dial 999 when my heart goes out of sync again Is it me or does this all seem very contradictory ## Hello, Paul! How are you doing? Your doctor didn't replace it with a different medication? Yes, that seems very contradictory and odd. Is there any way you can see someone else to get a second opinion? ## Hi since I've stopped the flecanide I have been blue lighted to hospital twice with episodes of AF . Whilst in hosp I was informed that at 58 I am to old to be...

I have been diagnosed with this about 3 to 4 years ago and have tried many treatments. Ultimately I am on CellCept 500 mg 4 a day. My concern is taking this long term. Are there other alternative medications that have worked for any of you? I don't like the long-term side effects including sudden death and cancer. Also, how will you know if you're in remission because you're on the medication? I I know I can ask my rheumatologist about other therapies, but I was just wondering if anybody had any positive results with any other medications? Thank you very much for your time. ## Hi Cynthia, I started CellCept about a month ago for MCTD with Scleroderma that has started attacking my lungs. I have been on Methotrexate before this for a couple years. The methotrexate really helpe...

Can someone enlighten me, please? I take the following medicines: Eltroxin, Cardicor, Zartan, Amloc, Puresis, Allopurinol, Plenish K, Ultimag, Estro-pause, Adco-Dol (for migraines. Allergic to everything else, also those supposed to be preventative.) My concern is the Allopurinol. I have read somewhere that it may cause sudden death. Because of the Puresis I have no alternative, as nothing I do dietwise, do anything to bring down the uric acid count. Please advise me, as I am with my back to the wall. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Also information concerning the negatives of proton pump inhibitors. Thank you ever so much. ## I’m 74 years old and had gout cause by excess Utica acid for 10 years until I read on the internet the “CHERRY REPORT “. I now take...

what are the side effects of drinking beer (too much) while taking oxycodone, can there be brain damage? ## It is a possibility, according to FDA reports, such a mix could also be fatal, since they both act as depressants of the central nervous system, which could result in lowered rates of respiration, and heart rate, any of which could suddenly drop too low and result in death. Thus, it is best to avoid alcohol, while taking such prescription medications. Has this happened to someone you know?

Background: I'm 47, male, 5'7" 170 lbs. Married 20 years to a great wife, two wonderful children and successful entrepreneur. In 2010, things began to go downhill. My 80 yr old father, to whom I was very close died suddenly. He was the most influential person in my life...a great father and a common sense man that made me the person I am. I followed him into the same career that he pursued as a television broadcast engineer. To say his death took a toll on me would be a massive understatement. Shortly after his death, the television station I worked for (20 years) began to experience major financial problems. It went up for sale. As the guy in my department with the the longest tenure, most experience and making the most money I was in a bad position. When a television stati...

Can putting a bit of sunblock on the back of a person cause that person to start shaking & have anaphylactic shock making them hospitalized in intensive care? ## It could, if they are severely allergic to an ingredient in it. The NIH warns that such an allergic reaction can come on suddenly and could include the symptoms you've mentioned, as well as nausea, dizziness, fainting, swelling, hives and trouble breathing. In some cases, allergies can be so bad that they could result in death. Do you know someone that experienced this?

i was on klonopin for over a year and on 1 mil 3x a day. how and what do you do if i took myself off all at once. i feel like my body is falling apart. how can i make myself feel better ## You made a mistake stopping Cold Turkey. Benzodiazepines can make you very sick when discontinuing them. 3 mg a day is a large dose. I knew I was getting sick for a week before I went to the ER. Arrived in near death condition! If you are feeling worse than when you posted this get to the EMERGENCY ROOM! ## I have to agree with Eddy, it is very dangerous to stop a high dose suddenly. On top of the withdrawal dangers, doing so also creates the risk of seizures. Learn more Klonopin details here. So yes, if you start feeling really bad, please seek medical attention immediately. For years now I have been taking 4 tramacet and 2 lyrica every day. The side effects are weight gain, a bit of finger and arm numbness and sleep disturbance. On the good side the tramacet is all that really works on nerve pain (S1 root damage chronic) and the lyrica takes the second edge off the pain. If you are careful it should be ok. Always best to eat something with these two medicines. You have to slowly taper off either of them. No sudden stops because a sudden stop can cause seizures. ## I took Lyrica for 2 hrs for periphiel neuropathy pain and then it turned on me making me unable to see, bad uneasy feeling and kidney cancer and failure. I am scared to death to take even 1 -50 mg! And the withdrawal! Felt like I was burning alive! Ought to be against the law! the only drug that ...

this is something i was perscribed by my doctor for nausea. the phenergan and the phentermine was prescribed may of 2010.i wanted to know is it safe for me too take them together? ## I really wish I had read this post much sooner and I certainly hope that Canotta is okay. For anyone else seeking information, no these two medications should not be combined, unless your doctor has specifically stated that it is safe for you to do so. Taking them together creates the risk of developing a dangerous cardiac arrhythmia in some people and the risk of sudden death, so this is one that can't be taken lightly. You can learn more Phentermine details here and you can learn more Phenergan details here. Are there any comments or questions?

HI, I AM TAKING 14 STILPANE TABS A DAY & I WANT TO STOP. WHAT SHOULD I DO? I AM A MOTHER AND A WIFE. ## Have you consulted a doctor for assistance? Stilpane contains 370mgs of Paracetamol, 185mgs of Meproamate and 8mgs of Codeine. And if you have been taking that many of them in a day, there are actually 2 possible problems. The Codeine is a narcotic, so it can be habit forming and addicting, a sudden cessation of it, in such instances, will cause withdrawal effects, such as fever, chills, nausea and vomiting. However, the most concerning ingredient, wit your level of usage is actually the Paracetamol, long-term use of just regular amounts can cause liver and kidney damage. Amounts over 4,000mgs in a day can be toxic and, in some cases, this have resulted in death. With the amounts ...
