If you are on Subutex you can start as soon as you feel a little sick. But make sure you have gone at least 24 to 36 hours. Since there is no Naloxone in Subutex it is not like subuxone, Start with a small piece of sub try that and see if you get relief. If you are ok take a little more until you feel straight. Hello, I have been taking Suboxone for approximately 3 weeks. I was taking opiates, legally, for four+ years but recently I had problems after surgery by increasing my dosages and eventually running out quite often which lead all my doctors to a rehab place. I went through 3 weeks of Intensive Outpatient Treatment which was complete crap but it kept me busy during the morning. Hell no its a waste. No matter what order u take the 2, you run the risk of getting more sick, wasting your pill or money, or worse, both! Haha never take the 2 in the same day. I have had 7 spinal surgeries, 2 bulging discs in neck,DDD, Spinal Stenosis, faccett disease, narrowing of spinal canal, 2 more herniared discs in lower back, orthoarthritis,failed back syndrome, nerve damsge, muscle weaknessin legs & neruopathy. I can’t seem to find an answer. If oxycodone now has naloxone in it so that there isn’t an euphoric high, isn’t that the same as the Suboxone? Suboxone has naloxone in it but it must also have the narcotic also, otherwise how would it keep people from going into full blown withdrawals? The new pain pills are the SAME EXACT thing, they stop the withdrawals but do nothing for the pain? I took an 8mg suboxone strip this morning around 8 am and im still in withdrawal and it is now 5:30. Can i take a oxycodone without throwing myself into hard withdrawal? I'm in A LOT of pain. I smashed my toe this morning...the subs, which I've been on for 2 weeks to get of 35 mgs of Methadone, are not helping to relieve the pain. Need to talk to someone very bad. I've been taking methadone for 20 years, in May I started winging myself down. I got to 5 to 10 milligrams then ran out so I started taking 5 milligram oxycodone. I ran out of my oxycodone pills and I took some suboxone for about a week and a half so that I would not get withdrawl symptoms. About a week later I started back on oxy but it was the new pills which I did not like so I went back to the Oxy 30's. Now that I am taking them, I feel nothing anymore. No Euphoria, no pain release, no high, nothing. Could you tell my why this is happening? I know I have built up a toloarance because I am able to take 5-6 pills at one time and I still feel nothing. I read almost all your posts. I think I'm way off here probably just a little off in the head. I've been on vicoden and oxy's since 2003. 98% of the time I was buying the crap off the street. The other 2% I would intentionally hurt myself to get a script, pathetic I know. I took a leap of faith and stopped. Went to a Methadone clinic and regretted it ever since. Does suboxone help with severe pain? I have had several back surgerys and have severe hip pain. I have been on dr perscribed oxycontin and loritab. Seeing a new dr who only perscribes suboxone. I've been on suboxone for about a month. Before I decided to face my addiction of over 10 years of opiate pain killers, I was on 80MG of Ms contin 3Xs daily, 40 of oxy as needed every 4 hours, Norco 10s 1 or 2 pills as needed every 4 hours, Xanax, Lyrica and a few others. First my doctor started me on 1\2 tablet 2Xs a day. It wasn't enough so he went up to 3xs a day. It still wasn't helping. He wouldn't raise it so I switched doctors.
