Could someone tell me if they have ever heard of using methadone as a stimulate for memory. My boyfriend wrecked his motorcycle 1 week ago. He was just transferred to rehab because of his back and shoulder injuries and becuase of his mental state because of a concussion. Ever since the wreck he has been disoriented and confused, can't remember for very long. The long term memory is there, but short term was gone. When they transferred him to rehab, they started him on 2.5mg of methadone 4 times a day. When I questioned the nurse, she said this doctor uses methadone as a brain stimulate. I took many in the late 60's and early 70's. They were effective, very clean, and probably methamphetamine hydrochloric salts. They were very small tablets. Later on, around 1976 or so they started using caffeine, so that ended that drugs realm and into the methaqualone era that took many, many good people from this Earth. ## I'm surprised that they don't manufacture this medication illegally instead of methampetamine. I didn't find any interactions listed between these medications, but it would be up to your doctor to really say whether or not it is safe for you to mix them. I am 32 years old I was taking short acting adderall, my new job does drug panels and I did not disclose I have ADD. My Dr. said Straterra does come back positive for amphetamines so that is out.
