I was told by my NP that Cialis can raise my blood pressure. I am taking BP meds regularly to lower BP for several years. Has anyone experienced blood pressure issues while taking Cialis? Thanks. ## Actually, this class of medications usually lowers it more, which is why it's advised they not be taken with blood pressure medications, because, as reported by the NIH, it could cause your blood pressure to drop too low, which may put you in danger. You could become ill, faint, enter into a coma, or encounter a fatal issue, if it drops too low, such as heart failure. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I took my very first 10mg Cialis 4 days ago. Had a little effect in the bedroom but not as good as advertised. Also within 2 hours my B/P was 180/95 (I do not have high B/P). I was...

Blood pressure (BP), sometimes referred to as arterial blood pressure, is the pressure exerted by circulating blood upon the walls of blood vessels, and is one of the principal vital signs. When used without further specification, "blood pressure" usually refers to the arterial pressure of the systemic circulation. During each heartbeat, blood pressure varies between a maximum (systolic) and a minimum (diastolic) pressure.[1] The blood pressure in the circulation is principally due to the pum...

I start a new job that is very phsical and cold. I have been advised to use the epsom salt and soak in a tub of water for 15 minutes. i am taking 20mg of lisnopril once a day, will I be O.K. ## hey, i tried this last year for arthritis, and my blood pressure shot up to dangerous levels...also causes dehdyration, its great for people with normal blood pressure, but i would look for an alternative as salts and blood pressure dont mix. try some oils or muscle rubs. ## It really depends on how much you use, and if your doctor approves. Many people do not absorb enough of it to cause an issue, but we are all different, so some people might absorb more of it, and some people are more sensitive to various salts/sodium forms. For instance, I have high blood pressure, and my cardiologist okayed ...

I have noticed that taking 100mg of Provigil raises my blood pressure. Anyone else have these same issues? Will it go away over time? ## That is normal, when you take a stimulant, such as this. The FDA does lists it as a common side effect and no, it most likely won't go away, it may actually worsen with time, which is why these medications are not usually prescribed for people with existing high blood pressure. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, insomnia, and anorexia. How high has your blood pressure been? You might need to switch to a different medication.

Does anyone know if cymbalta raises your pulse rate . Mine is running 90- 110 since I started taking it. ## Cymbalta - I am on the lowest dosage but my B.P. has really climbed. Other than that, it seems to do wonders. Is there a remedy other than go off? ## There aren't any warnings listed for that, but you should speak to your doctor about your concerns. ## I started taking Cymbalta because of a sever neck ache and head ache, My bp is always around in the 60 range, then after taking the medicine it shot up to 90. Which my heart felt like it eas going to jump out of my chest. ## Wow! My pulse also increased to 90-100 since being on Cymbalta. I went off for awhile and it went back down. Now that I'm back on it I am staying above 90. My doctor doesn't believe there is a connec...

Does Trepiline increase my blood pressure? Please help. My blood pressure rose since I began taking it. ## It is possible, according to NIH reports, though not a common side effect. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and weight changes. Are you on any other medications? How high have your blood pressure readings risen?

Why would my doctor prescribe gabapentin when my blood pressure is difficult to control? It's 100/150 at times. I was complaining to my Dr that my hands are becoming difficult to control; I drop & throw things. Very miserable not being able to hold a phone, etc. ## I honestly can't say, since blood pressure elevations can be a side effect of it, as reported by the FDA. Gabapentin is an anticonvulsant that can also be used to treat certain types of nerve pain and some mood disorders. Its other typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, and weight gain. What other medications do you take regularly? I wonder if one of them may be contributing to the issue with your hands. ## Does gabapentin cause high blood pressure? My heart...

Can I take hydrocodone and losartan and be ok ## Hello, Luis! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between these two medications, so that should be fine, as long as your doctor approves. The FDA classifies Hydrocodone as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Losartan may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

Earlier today my bp was 139/113, a few hours later I checked again and it was 155/86. I have numerous health issues. I'm hoping blood pressure isn't being added to the list? ## When did you check it? Was it after eating? And if so, what did you eat? Was it after activity? If so, what kind of activity? What time of day did you check it? There are so many things that could cause such blood pressure fluctuations, according to NIH reports, so it is very hard to say from this limited information.

I started the Methylprednisolone dose pack for sciatica yesterday and my blood pressure was 98/78 and pulse 89. Today my blood pressure was 121/98 and pulse 109. ## That is normal, Methylprednisolone is a steroid class medication and it is well know to cause elevated blood pressure and heart rate as side effects, according to FDA reports, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, weight changes, and acne. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?

Is 10 mg. Less than 10/12 mg ## Hello, Connie! How are you? Can you be more specific as to what medications you're asking about? The 10/12mg denotes a medication that contains 2 active ingredients and then the 10mg would contain just one, so I'm afraid I can't be more specific, without having more information. The FDA lists the typical side effects of blood pressure medications as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, stomach pain and hypotension.

Recently while on vacation in Arizona, I got a severe headache ( I think from a strain?), went to a clinic & they said my blood pressure was 185/110. Their first drug (lisinopril 20 mg) was for blood pressure and also an injection of toradol. Two days later the headache was still there and they prescribed a pill (Butalbit/acetam/caf 40 mg/tablet ). The headache and BP are in control but I am concerned on taking a barbiturate, is there an alternative and what would be the process to eliminate the drugs. General research shows Butalbit is being discontinued?? or not a preferred choice. ## Hello, Marie! How are you feeling? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having. There is a chance that the headache was due to your blood pressure being so elevated. It can cause sev...

Could you take the Lipozene if you have high blood pressure? ## My blood pressure become very high at times, is it safe for me to take lipozene , I'm kinda afraid, don't know what to do,please help. ## Can u take lipozene while taking high blood pressure medication norvasc 2.5mg ## This medication is a supplement, so it has not been approved by the FDA, nor has it been proven to actually aid in weight loss. Thus, there is no way to say if it is or is not safe with any given medical condition, or any given medication. The manufacturer, which is listed on the website as being Obesity Research Institute, states that it contains a natural fiber that absorbs water in your stomach to help you feel full faster. However, that can cause problems with some medical conditions, for instance...

My husband was on Linzess and it caused his blood pressure to go up and had a heart attack. Now the doctor has put him Monvantik and his blood has been going back up. It doesn't say that it causes high blood pressure online, but we are starting to wonder if this is the cause of his problem. Has anyone else had a problem with Monvantik? ## That is not a listed side effect, according to FDA reports, but there is never any way to know how any medication may affect any given person that takes it. Other users have reported similar occurrences, though. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and withdrawals (if someone is using opiates.) Is he on any other medications? What does his normal diet consist of? Does he eat a lot of salty...

is it safeto take this medicine if you are on blood pressure meds that also has a diaretic in it? ## It really depends on the exact ingredient of the blood pressure medications. I did check the interactions between Metformin and several of them and, so far, they have all come up with the same warning that if the patience experiences any type of renal impairment and dehydration, it can increase the likelihood of Lactic Acidosis. Have you asked your doctor or pharmacist about this? Can you post back with the specific blood pressure medication you are asking about? ## Metropitol is my blood pressure meds will lipozene interfere with it ## my high blood pressure pills are called coversyl i take them with metformin and asa 81 also glicizide is this safe?

I took Clonidine for three years for high blood pressure. I had severe itching and stinging in both shoulders intermittently. I was miserable. It took me three years to confirm that Clonidine was the culprit. The doctor didn't believe me so ordered x rays for neck arthritis. Nothing showed up but a touch of arthritis. I'm completely free of the Clonidine symptoms now that I've cut out Clonidine. Not one single Doctor thought Clonidine could have such debilitating symptoms that I faced. This is for anyone out there who is suffering from side effects of Clonidine. ## Hello, Debra! I am very sorry about what you've been through. It is sad that your doctor didn't believe you.
