It is used for the short term treatment of insomnia. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, sleep actions, odd taste in mouth, and hallucinations. Liza, it would be best to consult his doctor to discover the root of the problem. How old is he? Is he on any medications? Does he have any diagnosed medical disorders?

I have been on Cymbalta for a couple of weeks. I don't have any problems falling asleep.Every once in a while I use to fight in my sleep or have nightmares, but maybe once every couple of months if that. But now since I've been taking the Cymbalta it's like every night I'm fighting and or talking in my sleep. Have you heard of anything like this? Thank you for your time. ## Hello, Shonda! How are you? Virtually all medications like this that act on brain chemicals cause disruptions to the sleep cycle, usually by REM onset latency, you spend less time in the REM stage and it is much more vivid, while you are in it. Have you consulted your doctor? It just might not be the right medication for you to take.

Help help help. The most sleep i get at night is an hour here or maybe two there. I take ambien but they only seem to help the first couple of days after i have them filled. I am so tired. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I'm getting desperate. ## What other things have you tried? Have you discussed it with your doctor, because there are other medications that can be used. You may also want to try staying away from any type of stimulants, in the evening, such as nicotine and caffeine. ## I'm the same way, I even did Ambien and it didnt work for me, try Lunesta i heard that will help a lot. If not then you may need something stronger like restoril, or halcion. I hope this helps.. ## Hopefully the Lunesta, Restoril or Halcion I told him to try will help him.

My husband is taking the following medications: Olmetec 40mg + Zanidip 10mg + Plavix 75mg + Lasix 40mg + Cartia aspirin 100mg; 1 each morning. He is also taking: 2 Panadol Osteo 5mg x 3 times daily + 1 Pregabalin 25mg + 1 Vytorin 10/40mg at night. All prescribed by his GP. He had a triple bypass in 2014; stents 1 in Feb, 2 in Nov 2016; Radical prostectomy for cancer in 2006; Radiation for secondary cancers in 2009; Neurosurgery for a subdural hemorrhage in 2013. He has had breathing problems and used inhalers off and on for 4 years (is now off these). He does have asbestos fibers in his lungs, but thankfully no major problems there. But he is having problems with tiredness throughout the day and is constantly sleeping. Is this due to the mixture of drugs he is on now?

I need to order to assist w/ insomnia, have been told Remtyme tablets have no after effect. Unlike other sleeping medications. ## this site does not manufacture, prescribe, nor sell any products or any type, this is an information only website. RemTyme is a natural supplement that used herbs and minerals, which are claimed to help with sleep issues. However, as a natural supplement, there is no proof that it will work, nor has it been tested to see if it will or will not cause any side effects. The ingredients are listed as: L-Theanine, Melatonin, Magnesium, Chamomile Extract, Passionflower, Lemon Balm and Hops. It can be ordered through their website, but I am not certain of the prices or what locations they will ship to. Are there any other questions or comments?

I stopped taking Zolnox after using it long term. How long will it take for the heart arrhythmia side effect to stop? ## How long ago did you stop taking it? Are you on any other medications? The NIH lists various reasons one may experience an irregular heart beat, including medications, and heart disease. It is an issue that you should always have checked out by your doctor for your own safety. ## Stopped taking Zolnox 2 weeks ago. I dont take any other medication at the moment. I plan to go for a proper checkup, but only when the negative side effects of Zolnox are not going to influence the outcome of tests. Will one month after I stopped taking Zolnox be okay? Thankyou, Sandy

I phoned Remtyme last eveing and placed an otder (2 bottles plus one free). I was told it would take up three weeks to receive the order. I phoned again at 11 a.m. to cancel my order as I find I cannot take this producat with my present medications. They have refused to cancel the shipment. WHY? October 17, 2001. ## Made order for REMTyme sleeping pills (Order Date: 09/09/2011; Order ID: 8489529) and on 09/21/2011 got an email informing me items have been shipped. I rang 1800 039 118 and a female asked me to ring 1866 359 4510 or 1877 259 7541 which are now both disconnected and no longer in service. I've been on bondormin sleeping pills for a few years now and I'm having concentration problems and memory loss.Is this irreversible damage or just side effects which will vanish if I stop taking them??? ## Hi, Aline! Bondormin contains the active ingredient Brotizolam, which is a sedative hypnotic that's an analog of a benzodiazepine and those types of side effects are known to occur in some people that take these medications. Usually, they do go away once the medication is discontinued, but it may take awhile, since you've been taking them for so long. Learn more Brotizolam details here. You shouldn't abruptly discontinue this medication, however, because doing so may create the risk of seizures. Is there anything I can help with? ## My grandmother has dementia and...

I was prescribed Seconal during my stay at the hospital in 1970. It was an effective medication for me. I think that it should be available in a hospital setting only for the same reason why other potent medications are not readily prescribed to ambulatory patients. Moreover, I think that its use should be limited to the terminally ill patients who are unable to sleep due to the severity of their condition. Lastly, I think that strict rules should be in order for this medicine because it has been sadly abused in the past. ## Then I would recommend that send an email or a letter to the FDA regarding your experiences and opinions on it. this site does not have anything to do with controlling or approving medications, this is an information only site.

i cant sleep in the nights Please suggest me and give the tablets names ## Have you seen a doctor for this? Insomnia can have natural causes, or it can be caused by other medical conditions and if that is the case, you will need proper treatment for such a condition, in order to rectify the problem. Some medications used to treat it require a doctor's prescription, while some are available over the counter, however, since I don't know what country you are in, I don't know what your exact options are. Many over the counter products use Diphenhydramine as their active ingredient, since it is an antihistamine that causes drowsiness as a side effect. ## i just want to know about the tablets like alprax .. for my knowledge ...and suggest me in every posible way

I've been taking Synaleve as a painkiller at night as I've just had a knee replacement. When I didn't take any because the pain had eased, I couldn't sleep. Is this a dependency issue? ## Synaleve is listed as containing Paracetamol/Acetaminophen, Codeine, and Meprobamate, so not being able to sleep could be a withdrawal effect, if you stopped taking it abruptly, rather than tapering off of it. The FDA also warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and constipation. I have started taking Newcita Plus to treat my depression. I am on the 10mg tablets and can't sleep at night. Is this normal? ## How long have you been taking it? In the initial stages, before your body adjusts to the medication, medications in this class can cause disruption to your sleep, due to the fact that they can delay the onset of the REM stage of sleep, according to the NIH. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and weight changes. It should improve after about 4 to 5 weeks of taking it, once your body adjusts.

is this cerizine ia a sleeping tablet?. FOR WHAT PURPUS IT WILL USE? MINIMUM HOW MG TAKE A NORMAL ASTHMA PATIENT ## No, this is not a sleeping pill. Cetirizine, the active ingredient in Zyrtec, is an antihistamine that is used to treat or prevent allergy symptoms, however, it can cause drowsiness in some people, as a side effect. As to how much of a dosage you should take, you should really consult your doctor, especially if you are on any other medications and have other health conditions. The standard dose is usually 10mgs, once a day. Has your doctor advised you to use this? ## I've taken 20 cetzine tablets each of 10 mg few months back. But due to stress i didnt slept that night and nothing happened so far. Why nothing happened? Will there be any side effects in future? ## Its gud

otc sleeping pills ## Pale orange little pill nothing on it silky smooth ## I'm afraid that in this case, at least so far, I have no guesses. Even knowing it's an over the counter product, with the basic description and letter M leaves it open to many possibilities ranging from actual medications to herbal or Ayurvedic products. I can however, add one warning, that regardless of what their source or origination, all of them are known to cause dependence in some people, which means terrible bouts of insomnia, when someone tries to stop taking them. Does anyone have any idea of what this might have been?
