i have had a terrible cough for several months. lose my breath my tissues burn when i cough so hard. been on socoe for years. could it be causing cough ## have you consulted your doctor? It is always possible for something to change in your body and its reactions to a medication, which can cause different reactions, or side effects, than what you've experienced before. You should talk to your doctor, to see if it is from the medication, or may be happening because of some other issue.

I have been taking simvastin 80 mg for 2 1/2 months and have a lot of side effects. I stopped them. How long before I feel better? ## Hello, Linda! How are you? What side effects were you experiencing? The FDA lists the typical ones as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and joint/muscle aches. According to the NIH, it may take a week, or 2 for all of them to taper off and eventually go away. Is there anything else I can help with?

i have recently started taking simvastatin and i was curious if it would be all right to take over the counter cold remedy medice (alka seltzer cold relief) with this? i have a head cold and need relief from congestion. ## There are no interactions listed between the two, but you may wish to check with your doctor, or pharmacist to be certain. Alka Seltzer Plus Cold contains Aspirin, Chlorpheniramine and Phenylephrine and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, drowsiness, stomach irritation and blurred vision. I have been taking simvastin 20mg for over a year now and it has always been an eliptical tablet with the number 20 impressed.I have just received my latest prescibed tabs and they are small round tabs wit CT impessed. They both say Simvastatin 20mg film coated tabs... are they the same? There is such a drastic change in size and shape. ## I was geting small round tablets since one year. i take simstatin for 2 years after heart attack but when i have been sat down or driven a car for a while i find i can hardly put one foot inj front of the other for a few minutes?is this va side affect ## I had a heart attack last August and have been taking Simvastin. Hi everyone, I am curious if anyone has experienced intermittent vision loss while being on levothyroxine. For about two months now my vision in my left eye will randomly disappear for 2-3 seconds and then slowly dissipate back to normal. Am taking losartan/hct100-25 once every day, for hgh blood pressure, and simvistatin for lowering high cholesterol, one every other day, are these two drugs prescribed work the same, am I over dosing on the same drug? ## No, they are very different medications and do not treat the same things.
