Script Got Wet

I left my 60 mg chewable Vyvanse on my windowsill. The window was open and it rained. Some got wet and dissolved and then dried. Now they are bumpy looking and deformed but still in tact. Are they still safe to take? ## If the pills are fully intact then I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to continue taking them as prescribed. I suppose the partially dissolved tablets would be the only ones that remain questionable, at least in so far as their potency is concerned. However, when it comes to their 'safety', I personally don't consider water to be an adulterant. As a last resort, you could always bring the damaged pills to your prescribing doctor and see if s/he is willing to replace them with a new script? Hope this helps!

I had both .5 and 1mg in the same bottle, I am unsure of how many were there, although it was only 4-5 .5 mg and around 5-6 1mg pills. Pink and blue. I went into a depressive episode, because I couldn't find the 1mg ones. The next day I found the pink packaged ones in the shower, dumped them into the bottle not realizing what I was doing. The pink ones are chunked up and the blue ones are pure dust. I am unsure of how to dose them. I am cycling between manic and depressive very quickly, (Ie: 2 days d, 3 days m, and now back in d. Hi, my Percocet prescription bottle got water in it and 40 pills were left in it. Now they have dissolved into mush. If I measure out 1 pill How much would 1 pill measure at? I don't want to take too much at one time and I really need these pills for pain. The strength is 10/325 also. Thank you. ## Hi Chad, Honestly from your description of how they dissolved into mush, it sounds like trying to salvage them may be a lost cause. I'm not sure what good this would do, but if I were you I'd consider taking a photograph and/or any evidence of what happened to your doctor, in hopes that maybe he/she will have sympathy to write for the remainder of the script. I have oxycodone 10’s (5 of them) and it looks like they got wet or something. The imprint is kind of faded. I can barely see the numbers and it didn’t take the pain away like it usually does. My question is, what could it be? Could they have gotten wet or is it a bad batch from the pharmacy? ## Hi Red, Sorry to hear about your situation. In my opinion I think you should contact your primary care physician since the pills are not working for you in the way that they normally do and explain the situation. Script got wet n now is like a wet paste mess. What's the best way to dry this out. ## There really isn't one, either way some of the active ingredient will be lost and you're likely to end up with some mold and mildew by trying to dry it out. I understand that it creates problems, because you can't readily get a replacement for a controlled substance, so I am sorry about that, but really the best thing to do is dispose of it. In the future, you should make sure not to store any medications in a place where they can easily fall into water or other liquids. I have a blue pill the guy said it is a ocycodone 20 But I can not tell I guess they got a little wet hpe else could I verify what they are ## Hi Canun, I'm assuming that you're referring to the pharmacist when you mention "the guy"; but if not, there's no guarantee that it is what "the guy" said it is. Depending on whether you filled a script at a licensed pharmacy, received a pain pill at a hospital, or obtained it through other means, the answer to this question should be pretty obvious in that licensed pharmacies and hospitals usually dispense identifiable tablets. I got a script from the drugstore for 2mg dilaudid and when I open the bottle there were white ones in there but I saw some cotton in the bottle pulled it out and the rest of the pills were orange whats up with this?
