I have found that the round orange Suboxone does not seem to be as strong as the 6 sided Suboxone....anybody have this experience? ## Hi Rick, I personally haven't had that same experience with this medication, but I am aware of the fact that certain inactive ingredients (that may or may not be present in each brand), are accountable for the overall efficacy of the drug itself. Whether it be dyes, propylene glycol, or corn starch, many of these kinds of fillers do have a large impact on how well the drug is metabolized and used by your body. If this is your first time switching over to another manufacturer's version of Suboxone, you may want to consider giving other generics/brands a chance to see if you have a better reaction. My pharmacy recently switched to a round orange Suboxone with the numbers 970 on it and it burns my mouth pretty bad and doesn't seem to be as effective as my old ones. Has anyone else had this problem? Why does it burn? ## Hello OhioKing, Sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble with your medication. I was taking a look into it and I've read a couple of other users that said they had a similar experience. It seems that most of these stories boiled down to either an allergic reaction or that their doctor had them taking too many dosages a day and that in the end the doctor had them go from 4x a day to 2x a day. Either way I suggest that you consult your doctor immediately in case it turns out to be an allergic reaction to the medication. Burning of the mouth is definite...

I have a round orange pill with AN on the top and 415 underneath. I'm pretty sure its a generic suboxone, but how do I take it? Do I swallow it or let it dissolve under my tongue? ## Hi Teresa, Just to confirm, the round orange pill in description is in fact a generic Suboxone tablet; containing 8mgs of Buprenorphine + 2mgs of Naloxone. Manufacturer: Amneal Pharmaceuticals As far as proper dosing goes, the guidelines state that sublingual tablets should be placed under the tongue until it is completely dissolved. Apparently, swallowing the tablets can reduce the bioavailability of the drug itself. However, you may want to discuss this more with your doctor first, since dosing instructions can be somewhat patient specific, depending on the case. You can learn more about this drug on ...

Most people find that Subxone works very quickly to stabilize things and prevent further withdrawal symptoms. Learn more Suboxone details here. However, it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Well it's been 10 days & all is well. If your not careful this too can be very addictive. How soon after your last dose of percocet can you take this? I want to stop taking them. ## You have to be in full withdrawal, before taking Suboxone, otherwise it may throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals, unless your doctor has instructed you otherwise. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Today is april 8th and all i want to know is will i go into full w/d even though i took opiates april 6th? Please help ## Hello, Juliana! How are you? Both of the tablets you've found are generics for Suboxone 8/2mg and 2/0.5mg respectively, which is used to treat drug addiction. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## To me whether it be the Films, The Round Orange one, The Round White ones, or The Original 6 sided one, if your doing them the right way, A suboxone is A suboxone. My Caresource Insurance Stopped Paying For Strips And Now My Pharmacy Gives Me 8mg White / Round Generic Pills Which Insurance Covers. Is There Any Way I Can Get The Orange Octagon N8 Pills? Does Anyone Know What Pharmacy Might Give These And Will Caresource Pay For Them In Ohio. Are They Better? ## I'm on the films and I prefer them to the pills. And no you can't get the stop sign shaped pills by reckitt anymore as they phased them out a few years ago due to "children safety" when there is no evidence backing this up which is why they are facing a mega legal suit from the FDA. You can get generic pills however but not generic films as those are only brand name. I tried the generic pills and didn't care for em so I take an 8mg strip a day and have for years and never...

I have been on methadone for approx 3 months. I'm on 55mgs. I recently heard that suboxone was a much better way of life as an individual coming off opiates (suboxone gives more energy, more focused, kills cravings even when leaving your system) so I, like an idiot, bought 4 of these generic suboxone orange pills, thinking I could convert myself. The night I bought the pills I had taken my dose of methadone around 9am. I took half an orange pill, let it dissolve under my tongue around 9pm. I had a slight stomach ache then fell asleep. The next day I figured the methadone was fully out of my body & I took a whole pill and a half. By 9:30 I broke out in cold sweats. I tried sitting at my desk and began feeling terrible leg and joint pains. I was scheduled for work that day and had...

I just got off 8mg suboxone strip a day and now my insurance won't cover any because of my rise in copay, I was just wondering is there any difference in the, an 415's and the films besides being slower to kick in and dissolve? I took 2mgs off a, an 415 . And not working near as well.. ## Other than what you mentioned about the tablets potentially being slower to kick in and dissolve, the only difference I'm aware of is the list of inert ingredients used in the AN 415 (Amneal Pharma) tablet, which reportedly contains the following set of binder/fillers: acesulfame potassium + citric acid anhydrous + FD & C Yellow No. 6 + lactose monohydrate + magnesium stearate + mannitol + povidone + sodium citrate + corn starch. From my experience, I believe a number of these fillers c...

I went to pick up my suboxone strips and was given the little white pill instead which I have read is the generic form. I normally take 1/2 strip twice daily and took the entire 8mg. tablet and did not have any of my normal effects from the strips. I then took another tablet a few hours later and still nothing. I read that this form of suboxone does not work and can cause you to go into withdrawal. Is this true? Why isn't it working? What can I do. The pharmacy told me that my insurance only covers the generic form, and not the orange ones or the strips. I'm obviously concerned about this and not sure what I can do. Any feedback would be appreciated. ## What are the markings on the tablet in question? Can you please post back and clarify? What effects are you expecting it to cau...

Does the Suboxone pill with 5721 on it taste like oranges to anyone else? ## No. I just googled the exact question, then put them in my mouth and are completely DIFFERENT tasting. The round white pill 5721 is almost like an Altoid, although I just brushed my teeth before I took the dose, so that may affect my tasting. Your answer is no. ## The inactive ingredients in this tablet were listed as: acesulfame potassium, citric acid anhydrous, corn starch, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, mannitol, povidone k30, trisodium citrate dihydrate. So. it's possible that the citric acid can cause a slight citrus like taste. The FDA also warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and const...

Has anyone out there experience the same thing ?? ## Same for me. I had to take 2 1/2 8mg pills to feel comfortable. Not cool. I wish the d****bags that approve this crap would go back to making the stoppies, or stop signs from a few years back. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.. Unless, ya know, they weren't making QUITE as much money off of them as they are now, probably. Then sure, f*** everyone over in that case. Greedy. ## I have been on suboxone for about 7 years. I am questioning a pill. The doc said to my friend it is a new suboxone however i cannot locate it anywhere. Its is a round orange pill with an orange flavor with the imprint of a dagger on one side i think and i cant see what the other side says. it may have a coating of sorts on it. Has anyone heard of this new suboxone shape? ## normal suboxone 8mg tablet is kindof big, octogon shape with small cross shape on one side as well. It is not a "new" suboxone tablet, however. If you bring it to any pharmacist and show it, they will confirm what it is. They won't take it from you either. Hope this helped. is it the same med's as my old one that saids( an 415) ## Hello, Tom! How are you? Yes, these are both 8/2mg Suboxone generics. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. They are just manufactured by different companies. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi Tom, Based on my research, both pills you described are generic Suboxone, containing 8mgs of Buprenorphine HCL + 2mgs of Naloxone HCL. The one marked 54 375 is manufactured by Roxane Labs and the one marked AN 415 is a product of Amneal Pharma. That said, the only differences that might be found are probably within the list of "inactive" ingredients; since this usually varies for each man...
