i need a doctor who prescribes methadone in philadelphia ## It may help if you provide a little more information, such as why you need the doctor, if it is for pain management or addiction treatment. Not all doctors do both. Can you be more specific, since you remain anonymous on here? Methadone is very potent narcotic and can cause side effects such as: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Recently she switched to Heath Partners insurance after losing her job due to her inability to work. They will no longer cover the Xodol, which she desperately needs. Hi, My current doctor has decided that it would be best to stop my monthly prescription for 30mg percocets. I have chronic back pain from skiing injuries and other sports related problems. I have never abused or taken more than was suggested. I never got "high" and was always able to work and interact with clients in a positive way. Now without the medication, the pain is becoming a distraction. Does anyone know a doctor who isn't scared to prescribe common pain killers. However, there is no guarantee that any doctor will or will not write your prescriptions for you. The only thing you can really do is see a pain management specialist, make sure they receive a full copy of your current medical records and then discuss your treatment options. But, if you ask them to prescribe specific medications, they will most likely view that as being drug seeking behavior and won't write them. It's best to let your medical records speak for you. Studying this subject. It is a poorly understood disease. The only real specialist in the USA is Dr. Robert Schwartzman. He is in Philadelphia and Dean of Neurology at Drexel University. ## I have no doubt that you are correct and I'm also sure that just like with Fibromyalgia, there are still doctors that do not believe it exists and that this results in some patients being misdiagnosed and their disease being poorly managed. I live in Myrtle Beach, SC. I have been on methadone for 9 years. I have had a lot of pain issues since having cancer 10 years ago. I went to a pain management clinic in Philadelphia. No problems. TRhen I moved to MB and the only resouce I've been given is a methadone clinic.. I need to find a doctor to write my methadone for me. My insurance pays for that. but a clinic which is not helping my issue and want 300.00 dollars a month and I have to go everyday. I am not the healthiest person I can't do it.
