Xavier Aviles, M.D. 25 Birch Street Jersey City, New Jersey 07305 I don't know whether or not a pain management doctor would prescribe Xanax, as that is all based on their discretion. But PM doctor's will surely be able to prescribe narcotic pain medication to get the relief you need. I hope this helps! ## I have been going to a pain management clinic for 18 yrs. i take 120 mg of Oxycontin 3 times a day, plus 2 4 mg Dillard 4 times a day. and i still hurt all day. of course I... ...

For people in TRUE NEED of pain meds it is very difficult to find help! And they wonder why people have to find them on the street?! I would never go that route bit i can understand ## HI Kimberly, Unfortunately, no one can really know ahead of time what a doctor is or is not willing to prescribe, as that is based on the doctor's discretion and not on someone else's previous appointment (especially since many doctor's are now worried about losing their licensing for prescribing too many narcotics). Some advice I can give you is to not specifically ask for any 'specific medication' when you see a new doctor. Just make sure to... ...

Charlotte NC Pain Management Doctors
Can anybody give me some advice or their own experiences with pain management doctors in Charlotte North Carolina? I suffer from chronic pain in my neck, lower back, and primarily in my left leg from a severe knee injury in '09. I broke my Tibia, Fibula, tore my acl, pcl, and the perineal nerve. My ortho surgeon said I had a 50/50 chance of having dropfoot due to the severity of nerve damage even if the reconstructive surgery went well. Luckily that did not happen, but I did have to have a 2nd surgery about 7 months later due to unexplained pain where my pcl is located and limited movement and strength gaining. The surgery was arthoscopic and although he said he removed more scar tissue than he had ever seen(what he assumed was causing my limited motion too), he said it looked like ... ...

Pain Management Doctors in Hamilton NJ
Live in Hamilton NJ need dr. to prescribe meds for nerve damage in lower back. I have ins coverage thru work so no clinics please. Don't want drawn out process just want meds to continue standing 7 hours a day.... ## I'm sorry you're suffering and I hope you find help soon. However, as to not wanting to go to a clinic, you really aren't going to have much choice on that. Under the new laws that went into effect at the beginning of the year, changes are being implemented that will no longer allow general practice doctors to prescribe pain medications for long-term use. They will only be allowed to prescribe them for a short period of time, such as when someone has just had surgery or been in an accident, except for in cases of certain rare exceptions. Additionally, you ma... ...

pain management doctors near Philadelphia
hi, my sister has neck pain and abdominal pain from interstitial cystitis and lesions due to endometriosis surgery. She has been on Xodol for many years. Recently she switched to Heath Partners insurance after losing her job due to her inability to work. They will no longer cover the Xodol, which she desperately needs. Health Partners may cover it is a doctor can make a good case, but her current doctor seems to be very disorganized and unable to fill out the necessary paperwork. So I'm looking for a recommendation of a doctor who takes Health Partners, who goes out of his/her way for patients, who might be familiar with pain due to many different causes, and who is familiar with interstitial cystitis and celiac disease. Due to issues stemming from her childhood cancer treatments, t... ...

One is that due to the increasing rates being found of improper prescribing and over prescribing, general practitioners and surgeons are being transitioned away from prescribing medications like Norco for long-term pain management. An attempt is underway to transition those to only being used for short pe... ...

Methadone for Pain Management
I am taking 60mg of methadone a day for pain management, given to me by a rheumatologist in Pa. We are moving to NJ. Will it be hard to find a doctor in NJ that will prescribe it for me there? I have been on it for about 6 years. I also take Percocet 10/325 for breakthrough pain. ## I am not sure how hard or easy it will be to find someone, some doctors are more understanding and liberal than others. The best advice I can give you is to make sure you take a complete copy of your medical records from your current doctor with you. By doing this you make sure they get the full records of all current tests and prescribing information and you also ensure that they get all of the information and nothing is lost or left out during a records transfer.
