Not looking for a pill mill but someone who is not skeptical about pain meds either. I have spondolosis in my neck;hips;& lumbar. As well as a perm. Disabled left hand. Severe fibro throughout my body. And other joint and disc issues. Can anyone reccomend someone asap? I need to get out of this bed. ## Hello, Val! How are you doing? I am very sorry about the problems you're having. Have you tried getting in with any GP's, yet? That's what you're going to have to do first, if they require a referral. There's really no way around it. Can anyone suggest a good docto...

Has anyone experienced this while on Testopel. There is no lump on the breast just the pain that happens several times per day. I have been on the therapy for two years but this just started a few weeks ago. ## Hello, Fred! How are you? Is this still happening? I'd suggest having your doctor check it out. Even men can get breast cysts from hormonal changes in their body and they can act like.

I had shingles which left me with severe nerve pains. The doctor kept on prescribing epletin for the past five months. Will it eventually help on completely getting rid of the pain? ## If it hasn't done so after 5 months, there's not much of a chance that it's going to and you should talk to your doctor about trying something else. Most medications reach their full effectiveness in the body after just 4 to 6 weeks and you are long past that time period. Is there anything else I can help with?

My Dr left the state after treating me for 2 years with percocet for chronic body pain, I need a compassionate Dr in the wake county area that will be easy to deal with please help?? ## Are you in Wake County North Carolina? I know that is the biggest and most well know, but there are a couple of smaller counties in other states with the same name, so more specificity may help you get more responses. Learn more Percocet details here. What's causing your pain? Have you tried seeing a pain management specialist? ## Yes I am. I live in Raleigh but willing to travel. Still looking for a good , compassionate dr.

After using Symbicort for only two days, I developed intense back pain sending me to the ER. That pain began on May 25th and it is now July 9th and the pain is still very bad, mostly in lumbar area and side. No pain down either leg. After going to ER two times for pain help, and two other doctors. I went to a pain doctor. I was given an injection in my back on the right side on June 25th. I am due for the second injection on July 28th on the left side. The pain is still severe and I am on Hydrododone 7.5 / 325 every 4 hours. The pain doctor wants to be in complete charge of pain meds, so I am only on the hydrocodone. How long does this Symbicort remain in my body? I am really depressed and discouraged. Please help. I had done nothing to bring this pain on and first noticed a slight back...

I've been suffering from chronic pain issues since 2006. I recently started going to a new clinic since January of this year. I have fibromyalgia, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, neck issue's, spine problems that start from my neck down my upper middle and lower spine, nerve damage in my left arm that starts from my neck down my upper arm and in the hands & fingers. The pain is horrible and never goes away, this includes my entire body, along with insomnia, depression, anxiety, RA, arthritis, carpal tunnel and from time to time it causes shooting pain in my legs. Also for my anxiety I get 90 clonazep g and methacarbamol for back spasms. So far this regime seems to help but 6 dilaudid a day along with 1 30mg oxycontin and 1 kadian are barely getting me through the month. I ...

I have been taking suboxone for a week, only 8 mg a day, but over 24 hours ago i only took a half of a 8 mg strip, will I be able to feel pain mess now. It's been 28 hrs since i took half strip. ## @Akc, Due to buprenorphine's long half life of 24 - 60 hours (as reported by samhsa.gov), I would probably encourage you to wait a little longer in-between stopping suboxone and starting narcotic pain meds in order to get the most out of them. If still in doubt you could also take a drug panel to gauge how much suboxone is left in your body. But that might be more trouble than it's worth v.s. just waiting it out for an extra day or two. I hope this helps! Please post back if you're able to update us on how things went.

I recently had a stroke. My left hand and left face are numb & tingling. The doctor gave me Lyrica. So far no improvement. Is Lyrica for such use after a stroke? ## Hello, Mike! How are you? I'm very sorry about your stroke. Lyrica is an anticonvulsant that has also been shown to help with certain types of nerve pain and some mood disorders. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings and weight gain. How long have you been on it and what is the dosage? It does take about 4 to 5 weeks to reach its full level of efficacy in the body, so it may need more time, or you may need a higher dosage.

I have degenerative arthritis throughout my body. Latest MRI, yesterday. I've had four spinal fusion surgeries starting at the bottom of my spine. I'm scheduled for neck injection next week. I'm 69 years old and my only income is Social Security. I stay so very tired/exhausted all the time with no idea what to do. My pain clinic doctor gave me a prescription for Nuvigi, but my insurance denied it, and my doc said they would also deny Provigil. I have taken a short course of each of these several years ago, and they helped. If anyone has any suggestions for anything that does not require a prescription, I would really appreciate hearing about it. No pity party here, just want to live the life I have left. Thank you. ## Hello, Mimi! How are you? I'm very sorry about the pr...

Again , when i travel on a vehicle my feet become very painful. i am at alose. Please help. ## Hello, Magather! How are you? I am very sorry that you're in pain. What do you take for your high blood pressure? There are some medications used to treat it that could actually be contributing to your pain. How often do you see your doctor?

I suffered a stroke 3 weeks ago. I'm still experiencing pain in left foot and left hand, but the entire left side body numbness I first had has lessened greatly. Though at times severe, the hand, wrist, foot and ankle pain is not constant....sort of tolerable for periods lasting perhaps a few hours, returning from semi-tolerable discomfort to outright pain that also can last for hours. It's a cycle I've yet to comprehend so I can't really anticipate when the pain's going to hit hard. This is more than the 'pins and needles' feeling I now accept as my new lifes constant reminder.....This simply is hours each day (and night) of hurt. What medications, OTC or prescribed by doctor, can be recommended? ## Hi, Matt! So sorry about the stroke and subsequent pain. Th...

I need to get off Morphine. I have been on 100 mg twice daily for about 2 years. I only have a few pills left and am trying to wean myself off, but it is so hard. Is there anything i can do to make the withdrawal less painful? ## Hi Kathy, I know you only have a few pills left so this may or may not be a feasible option for you, but usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them over a period of several weeks, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for weeks at a time until the body is no longer dependent upon them. In addition to that, I'd also suggest making yourself a tapering schedule on a calendar to track your progress and keep yo...

Has anyone experience body cramps from taking Hysingla ER and have you found any ways to suggest to prevent or relieve the cramping? See "my story" below: I started on Hysingla ER 20 mg and am now up to Hysingla ER 80mg(due to insurance not approving a therapeutic dose to begin with). I normally do not share and am a very private person but because of Hysingla ER being so new I decided maybe my experiences would help someone else. I was in picture perfect health! I worked as an Emergency RN for over 25 years and VERY against narcotics. I was in an auto wreck that left me with severe spinal injuries (cervical and lumbar). I started with tramadol (did nothing) then lower doses of Norco. As time passed the pain worsened and the Norco doses and frequency increased. My life was getti...

I've been through so much with my body being damaged in a car accident in MAY of 2014, I broke my left eye socket. Also both arms and wrists, a worst of all I will never be able to run again. I have severe muscle cramping all over my body. I cant bend my left leg much more than 43%. I haven't had any luck here in Madison, Wi finding a provider to ease my pain. I also broke part of a bone off on my knee, its where my FEMUR meets the PATELLA. If anyone can assist in helping me find a DR near me who will listen to my story and be compassionate with prescribing narcotics, please send me a message.

My Dr doesn't want to treat my chronic pain cause she says it's untreatable...? Here's what she's done in the meantime, she prescribed 10mg max 3 per day of Morphine sulfate and she thinks that's a high dose, which does nothing for me. I've had my right knee replacement done 3yrs ago and my left knee being scheduled this fall. The pain is unbelievably awful. Pain is shooting from my knee up into my thigh and lower back. I've had over twenty surgeries so far in other areas of my body including amputations. The new doctors won't help people in pain anymore. Ridiculous. ## Hello, Joey! How are you? My mom had a stroke four months ago and she having some pain on her shoulder and hands and some tingling feeling on the left side of her body (damage part of her stroke). Doctor prescribe her with Gabix but did not help at all. WHAT can she take to help her with the pain, she cant sleep well at night.... Can she take Neurogen-E too? Please help. Thank you ## Hello, Larni! How is your mom doing? How long did she take the Gabix and at what dose? That's not an actual analgesic. Gabapentin is an anticonvulsant that has been shown to help with certain types of nerve pain, but it will take about 4 to 6 weeks to reach its full efficacy level in the body. What else has she tried? Does she take any other medications?
