V mark on the pill. Color white. Very bitter ## A V on the pill doesn't necessarily signify what it contains. The V is commonly used by the pharmaceutical company Vintage/Qualitest as their logo and they make many different products, only a few of which are analgesics. Are there any other numbers or markings on the tablet? That is what would help us identify it.

Used it when I had my total knee. Two syllables, I think. Can't take most pain meds, so need to find out. ## Do you remember the pharmacy that filled it for you? They would still have the records in their computer and should be able to look back and provide you with the information. Off the top of my head, the only pain reliever I can think of that starts with a T that is commonly used is Tramadol, it's a centrally acting analgesic, though it is related to opiates and causes similar side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth. Learn more: Does that sound familiar? ## I thought it had two syllables. Don't recall what pharmacy I used then. Guess the orthopedist's record would have it. ## Talwin? I took this 40 years ago for a 2nd degree burn. Only 2...

I SUFFER FROM CHRONIC CONSTIPATION AFTER A DIVERTICULITIS OPERATION. I NEED TO TAKE PAINKILLERS FOR A BAD DISC CONDITION IN MY LOWER SPINE - SUCH AS LARIKA OR EPLEPTIN OR OTHER. WHICH IS THE BEST TO TAKE THAT WILL NOT MAKE ME DROWSY NEITHER MUST IT AGGRAVATE MY STOMACH - pLEASE HELP? ## Hello, Hans! How are you? Unfortunately, those side effects may occur with pretty much any of them. The only thing you can really do is try different ones and see which causes you the least amount of problems, while alleviating your pain. You may want to start with something like the Lyrica to see how well it works for you, since it's not known to cause as many side effects as some other choices. It's most common can include dizziness, drowsiness and weight changes. Are there any other questions ...

I Recieved a letter saying that new law in new york can only allow 100mg a day of pain killers starting march 1st 2015? I"m on almost 800mg mixed between oxycotin and morphine has anyone else heard of this new law? ## Hello, Zack! How are you? Yes, the new limit is supposed to be no more than the equivalent of 100mgs of Morphine, per day. Have you consulted your doctor to see if they have any ideas? These new regulations have been causing problems for people all over the U.S. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## What "law" is this that you received? In 2013, the FDA tossed out this limit or morphine equivlent as ...

I am now on a dose of 170 per day but I still experince withdrawl symptoms 12 hours after taking my dose. I take clondine at night to try to curve the symptoms but all that seems to do is make my blood pressure drop to much and i go to sleep for an hour or two and then wake up still feeling the withdrawl symtoms. I started taking Vitadone about a month ago to see if it would help but still notice no difference. I think my probelm may be I need to split dose my methadone but my clinic refuses to let me be dosed that way even though other clinics in neghboring cities do split dosing for thier patients. Hello everyone :) I'm 29 years old. I've been atticted to pain killers of all kinds since I was 25. I have been on Suboxone for 4 months now. I would like to share my personal, very positive experience taking this medication with anyone that has questions about it or is looking to start it. ## Hi Kristin, I've been reading around these boards a lot and there seem to be a couple of common concerns among people considering suboxone. 1) How and where to find a doctor to prescribe it 2) Is Suboxone affordable for the average person? If not, are financial aid programs available? Would love to hear more details about your experience with this! ## As to where to find a doctor who can prescribe it, there is a website just for that, which lets you search for doctors in your area. As ...

This medication has successfully helped many people, but the only way to see if it will work for you is by taking it a couple more weeks to find out. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. I'm Canadian. Not sure if this forum provides Canadian answers but here goes. I'm currently taking Suboxone for opiate abuse. I'm down to 8 mgs a day and was up to 16 at the highest dose. I started pain killers for a very real pain problem but quickly lost control of my prescribed dose and started buying additional pills. It became a huge problem and nearly cost me everything. It did cost me my vehicle and a lot of other material things. Don't care now. It also cost me my wife's trust. That I hate and am working on trying to get it back. I'm miserable though. Finally going for a visit with a psychiatrist in a couple of days. I've had a lot of trouble with concentration for the last 6-9 months and my Docs think ADD. One mentioned Concerta and another Ritalin. ...

I am in Indianapolis. Is it hard to find a doctor here to prescribe suboxone? I am having a hard time finding a doctor. I have been on pain killers for years and not only want to get off them but my doctor and the whole practice is starting to deny any prescriptions for narcotics which seems to be the norm here now. I have legit pain but I would rather deal with it then be treated like a drug addict by doctors! I have tried tapering and cold turkey. I think subs are the way to go. My friend stopped using her medication with the help of subs. Can someone please give me info or help on this subject? ## Hello, Inindy! How are you? There is actually a website you can use to search for doctors in your area that treat with Suboxone, it's suboxone.com and will also provide the contact info...

To keep my cholesterol in check my cardiologist prescribed tonact 10 later reduced to 5.After 5 years of no side affects, I developed severe muscle and joint pains, and was popping pain killers and applying gels on effected areas. During a regular checkup, I complained to my doctor and he suggested stopping tonac for a fortnight which I did.Within 2 days the pains magically stopped. I am due to resume tonact now,and hope pains don't start again.Has any other tonact user had such a severe reaction? ## Hi, Ashok! How are you? Yes, Tonact contains the active ingredient Atorvastatin and it has caused those types of problems in many people that have taken it and in most cases, they had to stop the medication and try a different one. My story is like most others out there, starting taking pain killers and became mentally and physically addicted over time. My use went on for more than 10 yrs. and 1 yr ago I decided to get help. Today I am 1 yr clean and feel great. It is possible to kick this awful drug!! I kicked it's ass and got my life back! :) ## How did you kick the habit of methadone use ## I went to a rehabilitation facility in Florida (I'm from Texas). Stayed roughly about 70 days, then headed back home. Kicking my habit to methadone goes much deeper than just going to rehab. What exactly would you like to know, what medication they used to help me with the withdrawals or what got me through the mental and physical process? I'll be happy to answer any questions you have. ## how did u kick it menta...

I've been on suboxone for about a month. Before I decided to face my addiction of over 10 years of opiate pain killers, I was on 80MG of Ms contin 3Xs daily, 40 of oxy as needed every 4 hours, Norco 10s 1 or 2 pills as needed every 4 hours, Xanax, Lyrica and a few others. First my doctor started me on 1\2 tablet 2Xs a day. It wasn't enough so he went up to 3xs a day. It still wasn't helping. He wouldn't raise it so I switched doctors. Now I'm currently at two 8mg tabs a day. Still it doesn't seem to be enough. What can I do? What is the average daily dose of suboxone? ## Hello, Jaycee! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem you're having. The maximum dosage is usually 24/6mgs a day, doses higher than that haven't been shown to have any clinical...

My doctor has perscribed me Amoxycillin for a tooth infection which is caused by my wissdom tooth. How long until it will start to kick in? I have been taking panadol for 3 days now although i only started my dose of antibiotics yesterday and am keen to see an improvement as i am in quite a bit of pain. ## Amox is an antibiotic which treats the infection and not the pain. All though it may feel better once the infection clears it may not stop the pain. You should see your Dentist who can prescribe pain killers and give you guidance on how to treat the problem to permanently stop the pain.
