Found in teen's room ## This is a 50mg dose of a non-narcotic pain killer Tramdaol which is the generic for Ultram. But don't let the non narcotice thing fool you, they are still very strong and habit forming. ## Oh, I use this medication for severe pain associated with rheumatoid authritis. ## Yes, that is a normal use for this, it is derived from an opiate and this classified as such, however, it works more as an anti-inflammatory, and yes, it can still be habit forming. Found these in unmarked Rx bottle at home. Wondering what they are & are used for. Am thinking they are a pain med left over from my knee replacement surgery. ## Hello, Dixie! How are you? was given for pain from my doctor because it was a substitute for lortab? ## This is NOT a substitute for Lortab. Lortab contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. This medication is Tramadol 50mgs, it is listed as a narcotic, because it is derived from an opiate, however, it does not have the same benefits or effects that an opiate does, so it does not work like one.
