Ofloxacin Suspension

My 1yr old son has been prescribed Ofloxacin suspension for watery Diarrhoea that he has been suffering from for the last 4 days. Ofloxacin has been banned in the US for its "reversible & irreversible injury to the musculoskelital system in children" as one website said.What do I do? Is it of any use in diarrhoea? Doctors please advise. ## can a 4 month baby use this medicine ## If it were my child, I would not give them this antibiotic due to the risks which were already mentioned. Child specialist has prescribed ofloxacin syrup to my 8 month old grandchild 4ml twice a day for a cough & cold. When his mother had given the medicine to the baby, he tried to cough / vomit.
