im in texas and have been on methadone for 9 yrs and its not looking good to get my methadone in williston, mabe a dr cause i see North dakota is the only state that does not take methadone clinics help please ## Hello, Rebecca! How are you? If you require it for addiction/maintenance treatment, then a clinic is your only option. A private practice doctor is not allowed to prescribe it for that. And yes, North Dakota does have Methadone clinics, as well. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Do you know where the methadone clinics are in north Dakota ??? I've been trying to move there for the past 3 yrs and have...

Hello, I just moved to North Dakota two weeks ago and I have a prescription for Xanax. I filled my prescription on the 27th of July 2015 and am due for a refill on the 26th this month (August 2015). I live in a small town, Scranton, ND and the closest pharmacy to me is in Bowman, ND, about 13 miles away, and from what I have been told, the prices at the pharmacy there are extremely overpriced. Currently I am unemployed and cannot afford the prices I have heard that they have, so I'm going to have to travel to Dickinson, ND, around an hour away from where I live, at their local Wal Mart to get a refill. Problem is, I own an old rundown '89 pickup truck that I don't think would be safe to make the trek in, so I'm going to have to get a ride from my father on one of his day...

I had something similar moving from one state to another. I have bad panic attacks and due to a congenital defect in my heart i had a heart attack during my panic attack. The PA said she was more concerned with loosing her licence even though my cardiologist said to stay on the Xanex she wants to take me off. I just moved to North Dakota from Texas and in Texas I had a pain Dr. for extreme migraines, they call it chemo brain, as a result from when I was on 3 years of chemo. Well it's harder to find a pain dr here than what I thought, they'll all 2 months out so are family Drs. I take 12 15mg oxycodone daily and I ran out 2 days ago went to the ER because I was hurting so bad and he gave me 20 4mg Percocets. They're are gone now I took the last one when I woke up. Since those 2 days I was taking Percocets does that count as tapering to help the withdrawal a little. I have no idea what I'm in for and I cannot find anyone to prescribe me any sort of withdrawal medicine, that's all I'm worried about! ## Brittnay- have you looked into suboxone doctors to get you off the ox...

Moved to western North Dakota from East Coast. Have been prescribed methadone for 15+ years to treat legitimate pain. Have taken same dose for last 8 years; (100mg/day). If anyone lives in this area if the country and might have a name for me, it would certainly help as I search for a physician. I have my records for every year of pain treatment, including tri annual drug panels (always + for proper med/dose), all Rx records with same pharmacy, and haven't ever needed script filled early, I take meds exactly as prescribed, and just want to create a positive relationship with a new physician who can see that I am a trustworthy patient and just want treatment for my pain. Does anyone have a good and intelligent M.D., who knows all the benefits of methadone for long term pain managemen...

People in 14 states can now walk into a CVS and pick up an opioid-overdose antidote without a script, the company announced yesterday. Naloxone was already available in stores in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, but now Arkansas, California, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, and Wisconsin join that list, CNNMoney reports.
